Actually, Gaile Gray responded to the hacked accounts on her Wiki page. They don't believe there is much of an increase, that if it was a problem it would be more widespread. Also, considering that this is a much different case it seems, I'm inclined to think that the circumstances are different and not related to the other incidents.
Also, the guy got nothing back. He didn't get his characters back. His gold. His titles (if he had them). They got a cape trim that multiple members of that guild participated in and worked together on. I know exactly the response that Anet has given other people, I'm simply pointing out that the ONLY thing returned is something that they ARE ABLE TO RETURN. We know that they don't return things such as gold, items, armor. Cape trims are handed out manually.

But it has nothing to do with the cape. It has to do with the public reply and how anet handled it differently than the other replies. |
Show me these other replies of people who have had their guilds that are in the top 100 deleted, removed 9 other guilds in a massive alliance from their alliance, lost a guild trim, and his characters, and removed the hard work of 7 other human beings and after you do this, link me to it and show me the part where Anet didn't treat them the same.
Except you won't be able to, because this is an entirely different case than any other hacking attempt mentioned before.

You have your official Arenanet response folks, no need to start the "why does [Rawr] get special treatment" argument again. Closed.
