Nope my assassin almost a year old now and one of my top 3 characters as far as play activity goes. Ironicly I haven't actually played her much since the SF buff.

Well I had actually made her a few weeks before the buff, hadn't used her since getting her to shing jea so she was only like lvl 3. The farm gave me the motivation to level her ass up and get ascended.

I never make a character for farming...I make them depending on the armors they have xD.

I tried the farm, found it too tedious, so probably won't be going back there. I don't need the cash, just wanted to see if getting lots of ectos would be fun. It's not. Running around in shadowform is, though. I won't delete the sin just in case people ever ask me to run something.
Oh well, only 5 hours wasted on leveling/ascending him anyway.

Made a pve sin only for this farm, and it was totally worth it. A bit over a week of farming and I have over 140 ectos, can't go wrong there, and I plan on deleting him right after/if they nerf SF.

Yes, i made it just for the farm. But through leveling i was suprised how fun assa can be, it's quickly becoming one of my fav chars

My sin had been sitting unplayed since i beat factions with him (within a month or so of the game coming out). Did I un-retire him because of the SF buff ? Yes. I am not fond of trading or power trading to generate gold so I farm. The ability to spend less time farming, withouot reducing my income, so I can spend more time playing was something I couldnt pass up.
Now I can farm for half an hour occassionally and have plenty of gold to spend. No complaints here.

I actually did a sin only to use it for farming and no more.....also made a pvp sin, but i don't like to play assassin, i prefer other classes to be honest.
So judge me if you want, but i don't like to play assassin for many reasons and i only made one to farm with permanent [shadow form]

I have 2 sins: The older of them is my first character in GW and has recently got his 2nd b/d present. The younger one I made because I had a free character slot and I wanted to make a different play-style sin. She is on her way to get her 3rd Protector title.
I used to farm ectos on my warrior but haven't done that in a long time. My first sin, ele and necro I use for occasional boss farming in HM to get elite tomes when I need em.

My sin was made on the Day of the Tengu event (Can count the Factions beta weekends if we ignore re-creating), doubt anyone even knew Shadow Form existed back then.
On a sidenote, I rarely use SF anyways, I'm not a farmer at heart ~_~

A consideration about shadow form: WHY PPL ONLY IN GURU ONLY TALK AND OPEN THREADS ABOUT THEIR SHADOW FORM BUILD (THAT IS ACTUALLY THE SAME EVER) ????
Another consideration: if shadow form get nerfed in pve they can also remove it from the game....shadow form was thought to be used for farming in some places...if they nerf it will be the most useless skill ever; if you cannot keep it constantly would really suck at all...don't you think???

There were sins in HA using perma SF+echo+deadly paradox to make ppl nerv and leave cos they could not kill the sin...Then it got nerfed and the only use now is FARMING.

FINAL CONSIDERATION: Why nerf SF? Are you so freakly jealous cos sins can farm the UW, some places in DOA only cos they can use SF??? If you are so jealous and don't wanna use [ursan blessing] just use the old-school way to farm and have fun.
What's the problem if sins can farm 10 ectos per run in UW?? Then what do they do with 1000ectos??? When u have all the fashion weapons, armors, equipement you want, what you need more???
If you wanna make money in normal way then go farming or get the Ursan Blessing and stop moaning cos sins can solo the Choas Plains.....

SF will not destroy GW economy, ppl having rare weapons keep them.

My assassin is my main character and the only character I have that played through all 4 campaigns. I bought Factions before the other 2 campaign and thought the assassin's skill chaining and energy through crit were more fun than warrior's adrenaline spamming. I was never a fan of spellcasters so rit and the other classes were out of the question 
I don't farm, because I got burnt out from farming back in diablo2. I also got more money than I'll ever need from my Legendary Guardian efforts, plus I think most assassin 10k/15k armors are ugly anyways so I'll happy with my 1k armor (seriously, I can't see how I can even walk without stabbing myself with some of those armors out there).
I do use the build for general PvE. I did the same thing for that mystic regen/crit def/crit agi farming build until mystic regen got nerfed.

I made a sin long ago when I got factions, But it was nothing more than a mule to farm mini's. After I get my next mini with another mule I might make a sin, But I doubt it as I may never play it.
Making new characters for me is not something I do often because I play alone and it takes a long time to beat all the games and get all the skills. And at this point, GW is nearing its end (for the most part) so I doubt I will have the motivation to make any new characters beyond a monk, if that.

Ok, Ok, its a balance problem, may I sugest looking at a nice thread called "An open letter to ANet - part 2". If you think they are jealous bastard, you are the kind of people they can't stand just like they are the kind you don't seem to be able to stand.
In a nutshell : they are killing their game and GW2 with the SF-buff-Ursan&co, it's throwing player skill out the window, makes the game boring... the usual.
Now please, I don't want to enter that discussion.

Mine was a level 8 A/R mule until the un-nerf of SF. Then a bunch of us in guild rushed sins around Factions, swapping to main characters to help young assassins in missions, and now...we're breathlessly awaiting the crash in the ecto market.
