I didn't even think about until I just read a post about the favor running out. The next update will have another way to elongate the favor we have! Do you think so? I'm sure there's other things, but you have to think Anet knows that many people have left and favor isn't exactly going through the roof like it was.

Nah, I doubt that's what they're planning. They already prepared for this by adding passage scrolls months ago.

The object of Anet right now isn't "ZOMG! Everyone has to have favor 100% of the time!" To me, it has to run out every once in a while, otherwise, why implement passage scrolls? Its probably good for the game if we don't always have 2 weeks of favor.
Besides, during Dragon Fest, people are going to be maxing (un)Lucky like no tomorrow, so favor will be back up soon enough.

This weekend will see quite a bit of favor added, how much ,who knows but it wont be crazy like LB/SS weekend. However I cant wait for favor to run out. Scrolls will go up, ecto will go up, and farmers will likely only farm when there is favor- more profit for investment. It will probably not bring the economy back to where it was but will help and will stabilize things because passage scrolls are a big gold sink.

Edit: well, I think I should go look at the scroll prices a bit more... Seeing how they apparently have gone over 1k. But people will still rather pay the entrance fee/not go instead of pay for those scrolls.

Anyways, no the next update will not be on making favor last longer, and if it does, will just change the 3 min per title to 5 min or something. The next update will be skills and other junk. The next BIG update will be the HoM thing, maybe a little extra we weren't told about. But it is MUCH more likely that they will throw another double SS/LB weekend. Or maybe a "Monsters half as strong in HM!!!!1!!!" weekend so people can get their vanquisher and guardian titles in. (I really hope that is NOT the case)

IMO they should add +1 minute of favour per ecto earned in the last fortnight or so...then we won't have to worry

But more on topic, last night i saw the favor drop to 888 minutes.. Hopefully it will run out again. But the thing is, people dont see that when it does, we will get it back... Its not like gone forever, it's just gonna take a bit longer to get partys ready.
And maybe this will make the "Elite" missions Eg. Urgoz, The Deep, DoA and the supposedly elite EoTN dungeon a bit more popular.
Just stop worrying about ectos and scrolls.. Its only a tiny insignificant part of the game, theres more to GW than farming ectos till your eyeballs drop out

I personally hate passage scrolls and this never ending favor. Elite areas are elite for a reason. Only been able to get in if you are a dedicated player willing to wait around for favor is how it should be.

Anet will probably just add Ursan 2.0 to the game, which will also give Lucky/Unlucky points when you kill stuff and adds to sweetooth, Drunkard and party Animal when using skills

This weekend will NOT see an explosion of favor minutes. There are not many people (comparatively) anywhere near close to maxing (un)Lucky and maxing party points does not add favor minutes.

Even if favor runs out, then the titles are still coming and we will have an extended period of "on and off" favor, much like we had in the past. Just because the community can't sustain permanent favor does not mean it cannot sustain ANY favor.
Considering the average Pug failure rate of the UW and FoW runs, the question is whether people can break-even in the first place. Being the first to activate the conset without sharing its cost is a dangerous gamble and peoples' reluctance to just activate it is growing.
The more this happens, the more other farming targets will get popular again.

Eh, a little bit of a favour drought would do a lot of the ecto farmers some good. I have a nice little nest-egg, and several of my guildies have farmed a stack for themselves, and a rise in prices would be sexy to say the least.

We could always revert to the old Favour system where you have to wait for who holds the Halls or wins it.

We haven't had LBSS since January, so I'd say we're due for another one before the end of the year. That'd take care of the favor problem *g*
