Opinions On Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack
WanderXMono
So I've been thinkin about getting the Bonus MIssion Pack, but I was wondering if it is really worth it? I mean from what I read the extra missions sound pretty sweet, but I don't know if Its worth my money. What do you guys think?
Arkantos
$10 for a few bonus missions, and a bunch of decent skins.
It's worth it imo.

Buy it. The cinematics are beautiful -- I hope the GW2 cinematics are as progressive and intelligent as the BMP ones were. The weapons are ridiculously cool, and hey, it's $10 real life dollars for quite a bit of GW cash if you do all of the "discovery" aka Bonuses.
I say set a course for adventure!

Yes, It is worth it.

Yeah, my plan originally was to buy it sometime this week so I guess 10$ isn't as bad for the content you get.
??? L??wLi????????? ???

There fun to do when your really bored

Pour One For Jose
The end cinematic for Turai's story is so epic that it alone would be worth 10 dollars.

Gwen is a very dirty girl. :3
Anyway, if you're anything like me, you'll enjoy the most violent scene in the game. Stabbing Palawa Joko and using a real shield bash.

ive always loved the whole taking a different skill set thing, yes even UB and the rest of the blessings. Its mainly b/c i enjoy the challenge of a set of skills that are predefined. The BMP gives you 4 missions that set a challenge with a fixed skill bar. plus the rewards skins are pretty awesome. I also agree on the post about the cinematic. For $10 its def worth it

Yeah great, i certainley enjoyed paying for things i really didnt want at the time so i could get the bonus pack. Only for it be released later to buy.

Definitely worth it; I'd buy more of them.
(I'd pay a few dozen dollars just to get to use all of my characters in one party, with one the main and the rest controlled hero-style, by the way. Food for thought, ArenaNet.)

Worth the $10 you'll have to pay now. Not worth the $50AUD that I had to somehow come up with to get it when it was still a 'promotion.' *angry*

It should be stated there are only 4 missions, length of each mission varies from 20min down to just under 9 min.
They are repeatable, but when you do repeat them it means your doing the exact same thing, no deviation, and you are given a new char to control with a fixed skill bar.
For the cost($10) what your getting is about 24K and unlimited suply of max inscribed items with nice skins.

In addition to what is mentioned above, I'd like to say that BMP is an excellent way to provide you heroes with goodlooking weapons and shields.

Yes, the weapons really make it shine. I thin I'm going to be posting a review of it sometime in the near future so you might want to check that out.

Paying 10 bucks for the BMP is no worse than paying 10 bucks to go see a movie. At the movie you get a few hours of entertainment which is what the BMP will give you. The weapon skins are great however, I don't think you'll find yourself playing these missions over and over and over.

I wanted to buy it when it was released. But I couldn't because there were no payment options for me. In my country a credit card isn't something that everyone has because our bank-pass allows us to get money out of the wall pretty much everywhere.
My brother, who played with English people, found someone kind enough to buy it for him. But, he needed to pay extra to the bank to transfer money to an English bank... which was no cheap joke...
Anyway, when you don't have the trouble of what I just wrote, then it might be worth the few skins if you like them.
I've seen the new skins on my brothers account and didn't like many of them and the missions were kind of cheap imo.

I think that the BMP is worth it, but be warned (as others have mentioned) that it only provides a few hours of entertainment. Most people play a scenario at most about four times for the challenge of unlocking the secrets, but afterwards you really aren't going to do them again.
The good news is that the BMP reward weapons are pretty nice looking and they are 100% free. You just beat the mission one time, turn in your book, and you get a max damage weapon right away (which often look better than end-game greens). You still need to mod the weapons yourself, but mods aren't that expensive anyway. Also, unlike any other weapon in game, they can't be traded to other players that are too cheap to pay $10 in real world money.
In my opinion, if the BMP weapons had been animated, then I think that they would have been some of the top weapon designs ever created for Guild Wars. I wish that they were animated, but I guess that ANet was worried about making them too cool, and then nobody would farm ecto anymore to buy "perfect" crystalline swords and crap.

On topic: BMP is great. Not only are the stories and the things you have to do fun, but you can also abuse them for instant max weapons for your new toons, plus you can earn 30k doing the special stuff. I originally said 40, I checked and it's 30.
Dante the Warlord
Not only is it worth it, its absolutely awesome since you 1. have special discovery missions where you can gain a lot of money 2. get special skins that are BEAUTIFUL 3. Use other characters with special skills you wouldn't normally use 4. See part of the missing storyline...
Believe me this is just the icing on the cake... get it.
Now what i really want is a NEW bonus mission pack focusing on the gods. Would def. be better from the boredom in this game right now...

If you compare it with the bonus weapon pack, which cost half the prize at the time, I think it's worth it. Don't expect too much from the playable content but the golden weapons are nice.
Also, it's a nice change to play solo and as one of the legendary heroes in the storyline.
Check the wiki to know what you'll get.

It was fun I guess the first time through, now they're just a free way to get max weapons with decent skins.
I guess it pleased the lore people.

They're cute missions but short, no HM or anything advanced about them. Weapon skins are perhaps the nicest looking that were ever released, but in the long run nice weapon skins add pretty much nothing to playing the game.
I'd say it's low value though, if you want to do more for $10 go to the game store find an old game you missed that's cheap.

10$ for nice skins and 500g every finish for every -short- mission? I like.
cosyfiep
it was nice....something that anet should do more of---especially with the lack of anything else until the next 'thing' comes out.....
nice skins (need to do it again with some of my other characters---thanks for reminding me).

Only did Gwen's story and got bored. Which is the shortest bmp mission to run?
Thizzle
All the weapons are awesome.

BMP was a good product. They should have given us a historian titke for completing all the discoveries but instead we got a non-activity title like party animal wtf is Anet thinking?
Longasc
The BMP is outdated.
You do not really want to pay money for item skins. There are probably alternatives or even better skins out there.
For the playable content, I touched it once, twice... and then never again.
Very nice for the first time, but linear and totally exhaused once you have done it.
Plus if this is a hint for their ideas for GW2, it makes me shiver...

Get it, it's A grade quality work - not an A+ because of no character voice acting besides the book voiceover, but it's still an amazing little addon.
.Bomb!
I only enjoyed it for a couple days
