Ok, here’s the thing…I have been playing this game for more than two years and keep hoping that there will be another way to gain a Celestial Sigil other than gaining it in PvP or purchasing it for a huge amount of gold.
My hubby and I still don’t have a Guild Hall for our guild after more than two years of playing because I absolutely refuse to purchase something that can be gained from hard work and effort. However, this time the hard work and effort is somewhat out of my league as I’d have to go through PvP to get the darn thing and I am a PvEer.
I did put in a valiant effort to get to the HoH and am there now but I pretty much didn’t enjoy the trip (which is stupid actually – why do something not enjoyable on off time)? Not only that, the PvPers don’t want a PvEer there anyway so I have had a fairly unsuccessful time being accepted into a group. I only have one character that can manage this expedition and it’s pretty obvious that I am there from the land of PvE.
So why do I have to go through that with the only other option being a sacrifice of a huge amount of gp? My Guild Hall would not be a PvP Hall. It is for PvE outs like porting there when my survivor character is in trouble since exiting the game has killed a character before.
As I said, I absolutely refuse to purchase a Celestial Sigil and the fact that I am all the way into HoH proves how stubborn I am in this matter. However, this is as far as I seem to be able to go. So…
Will there ever be a PvE method of obtaining this thing? Or will I just have to live with out a Guild Hall for the rest of my GWs1 life (which is doable, I suppose *sigh*)?

It is more the principle of the matter. Why this divide where PvP characters get something as big as a GH by just doing what they normally would when PvEers don't?
Besides, I have 42 characters to put in armor and getting runes and weapons for 42 sets of heroes breaks my budget. Yes, I have too many characters and will never do that again, but because of this I pinch my gp as tightly as I can.

Well, if its the principle, then either lower your standards or go without a guild hall. They were originally for PvP, that is why you have to PvP to get one.

Its a semi valid point. The focus of the game has shifted, so that the PvEers have a need for a guild hall. There should theoretically be a PvE way to get one.

I see what you mean Dryndalyn but guilds only really 'matter' on pvp side of things if that makes anysense to anyone :s But yes i belive there should be other ways of obtaining the sigs i mean perhaps one should be given at the end of each Campain. Personaly im not bothered becase..... Come on only

Cash is cash, and it's always advised to earn cash the way you know best to buy what you want.
If you'd like a new guild hall, just spend the 10k. You'll find it much easier and rewarding than trying to pick up PvP. If you take the amount of time you'd take to learn how to play at a decent level, and find a strong group to play with, and play PvE regularly instead, you'll make much more cash.

Don't get me wrong. I bought my Sigil, it just makes sense to me that they be available in some other format. Maybe FoW/Underworld/ToPK/Dungeon chests.

Well, I am glad you are all finding this entertaining. That’s why I read these forums.
Actually, we had a Guild Hall that my hubby bought and then we changed the name of our guild and have to start all over again to get another one.
One thing that I really enjoy about this game is the goal of having to adventure to go get skills or fighting my way to get to other areas. I have never paid for a runner and will go do skill quest before I will buy the skills because it is fun and it offers a huge sense of reward. I just love this aspect of the game.
I just wanted a PvE goal that was fun to go out and get. The money is not the point. I just like the feeling of achieving the goals through my efforts and wanted that to be one of them.
If you all think that is humorous, so be it. I just wanted to voice my opinion on this issue because I believe that it is valid, even if you all don’t.

I could sympathize more with this if Sigils were still in the 100K+ range like they were for a year or so after the game first came out. But then they added a trader, which, as far as I'm concerned, is a viable PvE alternative to HA. Now they are priced below the cost of one piece of some elite PvE armors.
The chief purpose for a guild hall is GvG, which is PvP. If you want a guild hall for PvE, that's fine, but I don't really see the "principle" for awarding a PvP prize for activities in PvE. Again, you can already get enough gold from playing in PvE, anyway.

You want the whole thing changed over the 15k it takes to get a sigil? I guess I wouldn't mind the dropping from the zaishen chest or something similar but still 2 years over something like this..... just pm me and I'll even buy you the thing.

I never pvp because I don't like the way its set up but I joined a guild so I get to use the guild hall, with my friends most of whom do pvp.
Unfortunately for those who play only pve we are in a game designed for driven by and overly influenced by pvp play and we have to live with it.
I am happy enough because pvp generates change and change is usually good.
I also feel pretty good to have found a game that lets me pve.
I have found that most online games that say they feature cooperative play assume players cooperating with each other to beat similar teams.
Player verses Ai opposition is fast becoming a dying feature one reason being that player vs player is harder the other is because in player vs player the programmers dont have to do any work on Ai at all

However, I like the challenge of working for items when there is that option. And yes I am stubborn and just don’t want to buy it when I can win it. Winning things is fun and they are the reason I play the game.
It’s not exactly a matter of lowering my standards and buying one, it is just that it would be fun to have a PvE goal that involved getting this sigil. If no one else here agrees then so be it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion as I am to mine.

Hi! I also think 15k (current price from dealer) is a lot of money...probably cheapest way is to buy a guild from someone who needs to leave theirs. (Guiltless plug here for my posting on the selling forum, looking to sell my Guild....Isle of Meditation, name is Defense of Noble Ideals "DNI", cape of gold with gold hand, no people, no services.)
It is a lot of money! I had one week found a black dye and a white dye, and was feeling rich, and splurged. Never did develop it...

There should be a way to earn a Sigil through PvE. Sure, they were meant for PvP; the entire game is supposed to revolve around PvP, but this has changed. I don't see how it could possibly hurt to be able to earn them from some type of reward. Making it a one-time quest at the end of a campaign might keep people from farming it.

The trader is there so PvE players who cant get it through HoH or don't enjoy HoH enough to want to do it can still make guilds. If you fall into that category, the only way is to cough up some K.

Make your PvE goal making character(s) "PvP ready" to achieve that. Or just have it as your first PvP goal.

Side note: i have all4 games i bought no additional slots and i have 9 so i am assuming that is how much you had, 42-9=33, each char slot costs like what 10? 33x10=330 dollars on char slots...someone correct me im wrong
