Could you bring yourself to play the game over again
Saborath Gilgalad
Nope. I have 2 lvl 20 Pve chars one is my ranger, which I've done everything on, and the others is a mule char. I have a Rit which I made for factions which is still lvl 13 and is now a mule, and I have a Para who I played for about 3 hours when NF came out which is still lvl 3 who too has become a mule.
Aera Lure
No. I have 6 Protectors (each with just Prophecies and Factions completed) and 1 Legendary Guardian (my monk), and my monk's been to here and back again so many times for various reasons that I just couldnt do it again. Of all characters, only my monk has completed NF and EotN or ventured into HM.
The only thing actually that kept me going after Factions was new content to explore (Nightfall and EotN - long breaks before I returned and got each of them), acquisition of new skills (which when they removed skill quests was much less fun) and titles on my monk (I loved Legendary Guardian and had so much fun doing that with a friend). Now there's no more new content to explore, no more new skills, and I am burned out completely on titles.
Prior to Nightfall, PUGs actually kept me playing a lot. That and full-guild groups to various areas. Repeating areas in human groups was fun for me. That's the thing I love about MMO's. Heroes killed PUGs and killed the game for me, but I stuck around to explore the new chapter and expansion, using heroes with a friend for LG and MotN. Just cannot do it anymore.
GW2 for me needs to be more like Prophecies and Factions, with more human group play, less reliable or no AI (preferred). Once PUGs and group play was largely gone, the repetitiveness of the game wore on me. Dont get me wrong - I loved it. I dont regret time spent and miss friends and guildies dearly, but its not what it used to be and I'd be loathe now to replay content I have played so much, playing it with heroes and possibly henchies. The human factor combined with the game play and design made the game for me.
