New Hero, M.O.X. the Golem

Now THAT would rock. I loved the mini moa thing, another hunt would be fun Otherwise.......yes to sucky. Why would I buy yet another acct just to get a hero when my main has my better chars and stuff...? I have an alt acct from the pre slot days and it is pretty much a wasteland lol.

I bet 100k that it's a hero with a customizable profession.

I was here when people whined for another way to get it. I was here when Anet caved. They didn't say exclusive, but they did say "limited time"...doesn't seem too limited anymore, does it buddy?). I'll pretend to consider your post, but still hold off on buying it.

Have been thinking of buying another account for a while now, new hero or no new hero - a low cost for all campaigns is great .

Pretty stupid if they don't lift the 3H restriction.

Edit> Oh, wait. We don't even want to use 3H after they 'updated' their behaviour to closely act like a bunch of fools.

I hope that Golem is an elementalist and that we can get an update like the Milllion edition.

I'm not paying 30€ for a single Hero.

Compilation sets are desperate? Its business, more money means more funding for GW2.
The 'exclusive' idea wont get many people to buy it, although people who have not played the game before may pick this set up and some may pick it up for whatever reasons such as storage space because that is very cheap for the amount of content a person would get.

So how many character slots does this thing have? Since it is all campaigns and the expansion does it have 8?
I actually see them making it only have 4 slots for that price. If this happens it isn't even a good deal to grab it just for the hero and storage slots.

I might consider buying it if they would make it where you could add it to your existing account and get the hero and the extra slots, but that aint gonna happen.

Guess alot of us will be waiting for it to be in the ingame store!

Hey guys, having a multitude of heroes to choose from isn't a good reason to remove the 3H restriction. If they did you'd still have 24 or whatever heroes and only 7 to choose from. Sooooo

So sorry. It seemed like you did because you oh-so erroneously stated "exclusive" instead of "offered for a limited time". I was here, too, "buddy". I didn't get the BMP when it came out, but did purchase it at a later time. "Exclusive" and "limited time offer" are two very different things.

"Exclusive" means that, in a business sense, only included in a certain package. For example, the Miniature Varesh is exclusive to the Guild Wars Nightfall Collector's Edition; you can't get it any other way (except, of course, by trading it with other players, but it eventually came from an exclusive area).

"Limited time offer" means that there is a certain time limit to get the advertised product, like there was a limited time offer of getting the Bonus Mission Pack by making a a purchase of at least $29.00 (USD). That doesn't mean that the package is "exclusive".

For someone who know what was said have a very funny way of saying it. Besides, you weren't the first one in this thread to erroneously state that the Bonus Mission Pack was exclusive.

This time, if the advertisement states that it's exclusive, it's exclusive.

In regards to those people stating that ArenaNet should offer M.O.X. the Golem to players who currently have all three campaigns and the expansion, it doesn't always work like that. In the cable/satellite business, you don't see current customers get new customer offers (current customers are offered current customer offers if they wish to upgrade or whatever, which, ironically, was the Bonus Mission Pack (which was something offered to current customers for free during the promotion period, but now can get at a cost of $9.99 (USD))).

Now, I hope ArenaNet offers something for current customers to obtain M.O.X. the Golem, however, I shall wait until I hear more news of the situation.

Is this possibly the same thing as Newegg is listing as a pre-order for 9/24/2008: "Guild Wars Trilogy PC Game" at $50 (US) including shipping

There isn't much detail on the Newegg listing and no picture. Would be a bit cheaper than ordering from the UK for those of us in NorthAm.

As a second account or for a gift, that wouldn't be a bad price at all.

Has this even showed up on any other retail sites? A little odd that it seems to be only on Play.com. I seem to remember them listing some great sounding GW collection before that never existed.

Thanks again for the explanation I didn't need. I know the differences. What I said, I said because of Anet's actions in the past, and my mindset/opinion stands. I'm not paying $50 for a hero (I have 2 accounts already, don't need another one). So I'll wait until it becomes available in the store. If it never does...no biggie. Understand now? Capiche? Good. No explanations/arguing needed.
