I understand that you define it as a rumor, but I hear lots of rumors and this surely isn't one of them. I admit I feel that the caps are low... but of all the things they would do, this seems very unlikely.

double greens....still means that some of the bosses that I want to get a green from still wont drop it.....but now I have double the chance (0x2=0...oh well)....capped all my skills during the last double xp elite weekend which was like only a few months ago....(april??)....so no need to again.

I seriously doubt that rumor holds any weight. ANet can stoop pretty low but for those of us who have maxed out LB/SS, for then to rip that title away would be a new low, even for ANet. They would have to bump me down in 3 tracks. LB/SS and they would be taking away all my many leather bound books. I really love those books.

a SS/LB weekend would be most useful at the moment. Not just for the maxing titles, but mostly for LB for DoA. I do hope they have one in 2 weeks, and I'm grateful it's not this weekend as I'm not going to be ingame.

Most people would just have 1 or 2 characters with max LB and Ursan for previous Ursan DoA teams. With the need for versatility again, people will need a better choice of characters to fit into new team builds, not just the warrior they had for Ursan. A little boost to the LB point farming would make a lot of difference and allow people to quickly get another character or 2 to rank 7 LB and make them more suited for DoA teams.

They should also stick a lower cap on the amount of favor the world can have (I'd suggest 10080 minutes, ie. 1 week, to keep some signifigance to maxing titles for favor.) and announce that cap to stop any negative effects that it may have on UW or FoW and ecto/shard prices. If everyone is aware of the favor cap then there should be no need for QQing over it.

The Sad part about double green drop rate.

When 4X as many people are farming Greens even with a 2X drop rate you actually end up with 50% overall chance of getting greens. It is estimated but closer than you think.

Meh. Unless you're working on a Survivor title, this really doesn't do much since XP doesn't do anything but gain you another skill point.

What they need is a double GOLD weekend!! Double the gold from quests & missions, and double the rate of Gold drops!

Gold helps more than the XP, especially once you've reach lvl20.

LOL, since when is mathematics and urban legend.

when they say 2x drop rate, that means the whole game not per person. If it meant per person or instance it would actually be 2x, but it isn't.

Also, when are elite skills available? My highest character is lvl 16, and I haven't come across them yet. I know you don't buy them - is it a matter of knowing which boss to get them from, or are there quests?

My thoughts exactly. That's exactly what happened on the lockpick weekend: there was a double chance for lockpicks and keys to drop, I got more keys and lockpicks after the weekend than during. :-/

oh my god....

For the sake of an argument let's say Alem's Remedy has a 2% chance of dropping when you kill Alem the Unclean. Now it will have 4% chance of dropping. It has nothing to do with amount of people "farming" Alem.

It's that simple, people somehow try to make it more complicated for whatever reason.

You buy Signets of Capture and then kill the boss that has the elite you want and activate the signet (it will take up a spot on your skill bar...you buy them from skill trainers past a certain point in the game or from the skill trainer in your guild hall if you have them).

If you go to the wiki (F10 in game) you can search on your profession (warrior, elementalist) and scroll a bit down that page there will be links to the skills available for your profession. That list will show you the elites available. If you click on the elite it will tell you what bosses you can cap them from and if you then click on the boss' name it will tell you how to find that boss.

There is usually a quest that gives you your first signet of capture in each campaign when you get to the point where elite skills can be capped. (I think you get it early in Proph....)

And here I just finished Legendary Skill Hunter last weekend (patience is a virtue apparently). Well, at least I got ~150 of the elites in the previous double weekend in may

so I can't feel too bad about the extra 100k xp I missed. Gods forbid that my free skill point total fall beneath 200!

When you map in it doesnt mean a percent chance for just your character. Apparently you didn't participate in the double key drop weekend. GL farming greens BTW

Meh...rather than complain, I'm grateful that Anet is still having weekend events, regardless of whether or not they apply to all players. We haven't had a green weekend for a while and combing two lesser events is a good idea.

Hopefully they'll have another double SS/LB point weekend before summer's end. I finally beat NF last week and college starts back up in a month. I'm sure the latter situation applies to many.
