Does anyone even DOA anymore?

I've been in and out of DOA since ursan was nerfed and have yet to even see a group forming to do anything (other than a 3 man foundry team) Am I just going at the wrong times? Surely everyone hasn't given up just because ursan is basically dead now. Armbraces have gone up, gems have gone up. where the heck is everyone? All I ever see are people standing around talking about ursan being nerfed. Did everyone give up?

And ironically doa can still be done with ease in 3 hours with a balanced team. not tank in spank

Meh, Ppl still do Doa, but ppl dont PuG. and Doa can be done bit above 2hrs with good balanced team still..

DoA now = GW = R.I.P. ... Good work Anet ... wish you could make a weekend where everything return 2005 so everybody could see how this game was so amazing and how you have blow him during this 3 years ... first in PvP and now in PvE .... Thank you again

Yeah, DoA is fine still *if* your guild/alliance does it. Otherwise it's pretty hopeless aside from the specialized farming teams. But hey, gem prices haven't skyrocketed, so your best bet (if you don't have a class that's useful in a farm) is just to buy them, if that's what you're after.

Wow that makes me sad. My guild doesn't go to doa, and I play an ele besides. I know all the quests inside and out but since nobody's looking it does me no good I'd get another toon to doa if I thought I could get a group for it... oh well guess I'll farm ecto and buy my gems

Ursan just made everyone stupid. *sigh* look I'm not debating ursan or not. I'm wondering why everyone just gave up, and why I can't get a pug with a BALANCED BUILD. Not ursan. Nobody's even looking for pugs, so it's not like they want some other class than me. Nobody's even looking for imbagons. It was done before with balanced builds, before there were even cons to help. I just wondered if I was missing something, and that's apparently a guild that does doa.

With ursan, it was imperative to form 8 people groups due to its PvE status. These days its easier just to grab 1 or 2 people off your friends list and a bunch of heroes. You'll be half way done by within the time it takes a pug group to even form.

DoA is far from dead, its just that people are in the explorable rather than in town spamming for monks.

Yes DOA is dead. Everyone has their armbrace, gem prices are down. Before a full run could easily be done in < 2 hrs with a pug with any class goin ursan. Now pugs are dead. The payback is not worth the reward for getting a group together. GG anet, another one for the griefers.

People were spoiled by the ease and speed of ursan, so now they don't bother to take the challenge or time to do a balanced (or god forbid tank and spank) build.

I think you can't find balanced build in PvE because PuGs are a bunch of idiots that are too bad to even run decent hero bars and thus can't go h/h. So they rely on other idiots with same builds to finish a mission/elite area. Or they go as tank'n'spank and pray they they will succeed.

yea thats true u go 2 doa and try looking for a group but u can't make up a proper one because it seems the only people there now are ppl with a fail build or low lightbringer people who dunno what they are doing.

The people that moaned about ursan are morons - why would u moan about something to make things easy. When gw2 comes out in a year or two who will care if u have a load of stuff.

I thought ursan was good cos u could make up team with pugs and actually get through rather than the new doa team build of waitingintownlfgWAY...

You do need a good guild. If the players are good and high ranked PVE wise, you can easily do it in around two hours - really no different than Urgoz back in the day. But I dunno, I can't find a guild to do it, mines is desolate.

DoA was broken when is was added to the game. ursan was a bandaid so everyone could actually do DoA. anet should of made DoA like the Deep and Urgoz, up to 12 man teams, yet its still 8 man and with the long over due ursan nerf its just about back to the way it was before the release of EoTN. only difference now is fewer people there because most everyone going after titles or torment weapons have been there done that and have no reason to go back now that easy mode has been killed off

armbrace prices will go up
and if ppl aren't gonna give up it's gonna be like this "starting DoA run LF 1HB, 1SB, 1bonder, 2 nuker, obsi tank, 1ss, 1bip"

We have done a few runs in DoA since the update. It does take about 50% longer (at least in HM, didnt try NM). The prices didn't go as high as was expected, thus there is no real incentive to do it any more. I would strongly advise against attempting a full run in HM with a pug, although I haven't seen any forming since the update. For NM it's doable with heroes and 3 more players in ~2hs, you just need ppl who know what they're doing.

I do agree with the OP, unless you have a good guild/connections it is not very easy to find a group.
