HP regeneration kinda sucks.

+1 for energy also sucks.

Any gold/purp/blue dropped focus will give you 6 energy even if you don't meet the req. You can then mod it with +30hp and a +armor mod of your choice and you get something far better than that crappy shield.

Oh, and half-defensive sets aren't really useful, just learn to swap between your most efficient casting and best defense sets.

Weapon swapping relys that you understand what your doing. Your defult weapons should always be 40/40 or atleast 20/20. You also have a set with inscriptions that give +15 energy -regen so you can wack of a heal when getting e-denialed. I personly also run a high energy staff with 2x +5 energy mainly only for when your getting e spiked but need extra energy. I also have a low energy set to stop e-spike. I also have(manily for PvP or +10 vs fire atm in ha for sf bombs) every +10 vs x shield to reduce damage. The reason i asked this question was for verstility, just folwing a guide on wiki won't make you a good monk, knowing when and where to use diffrent weapons takes practices... so don't crit when you don't know...

This item is alot used for scamming.
Some people didn't notice it, and when they ask OMG +5 ENERGY SHIELD OMG OMG they wanna buy it, and later they find out they're being scammed.

ROFL, some guy tried to scam people the other day, selling a key that opened unlimited chests, theirs only one in the game! I wasl ike wtf i need to see this, so he put up a http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Diamond_Key. I quick wiki'd it cause the descrip says "Diamond Key" and nothing else. later i found its jsut a retarded mission thing.

Well dunno. I see a lot of casters with shields that don't use the secondary needed to give you the full 16 armour so I do wonder what a lot of these casters are doing. If it is for the armour bonus a lot of them monkies don't have a clue what they're doing I guess...
