AFAIK the people refusing this are generally ones who have chaos gloves or plan to have them in the future.

Since it will never affect them, only the people who don't want to look at them,

Granted, I wouldn't buy it, because I feel there are better things I could spend my money on, and in either case, I've stopped playing for now until full hero parties are implemented, since there isn't really anything interesting to do that I haven't already done to boredom, without them.

Lets get this guy a medal for the most idiotic suggestion of the week. Like this tv show, i think this russian show, they were catching shop lifters, they had 9,999 caught, then they found the 10,000th person shoplifting in their store, so they got a cake, balloons, party hats, approached the shoplifter and said "CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE OUR 10,000th SHOPLIFTER!!!!" It was funny, because they put the hat on the shoplifter but the shoplifter ran for it

no reason not to add it (replacing a skin, even selectively isn't a programming challenge) and for folks like the OP, it'd be a used function.

to clarify, since it seems some folks don't follow - he doesn't want YOU to lose your gloves, HE just doesn't want to look at them. hell, for all of that, I don't want to look at them - they win for the single ugliest bit of armour in all of GW. being able to see most anything (even those bunny gloves - wash your hands, dude) would be better.

oh, and i'd support a Anet supplied function over texmod, since texmod is NOT supported by Anet.

"As a general rule of thumb, we don't mind if you do things like this to make your own playing experience more fun. Some people really like to mod, and we recognize that this can often be a valuable learning tool. When you're doing it, though, keep in mind that we ask that you don't use our content to mod other games. Please do not attempt to extract anything from your GW.dat with the intent to use it in a mod for another game or project. Also keep in mind that we can't support any changes you make.

In other words, if you try to make some changes and your game crashes, don't contact support because there really isn't anything they will be able to do for you. Make sure you have your disks handy to reinstall

In case anyone was concerned about this reply, keep in mind that alterations that people make to their own .dat files will not affect the play experience of others. All of that important data is stored server side, so any changes that would be able to be made are purely cosmetic. For instance, if someone re-textures their sword to look like a gigantic pickle, they will be the only one to see this change. You won't start seeing people wielding pickle swords running around in random arena any time soon

Also keep in mind that we are always interested to see what stuff you guys come up with. If you do something exceptionally cool that you feel would really benefit the community as a whole, don't be afraid to let us know about it." --

Your idea will never happen! Want to know why?

Anet doesn't have the "tools" or "recourses".

No the hands are replaced with really really super duper bright chaos gloves which fill up the entire screen with a bright white light, which makes playing very difficult. Oh, it's perma too since you were stupid enough to waste $5 on something as stupid as hiding armor.

I was going to try to moderate this thread, but as I read more and more of it I figure I might as well just lock.
