MOX and the Fire Imp

90% of the time I don't use Melee heroes for PvE so MoX will never be used, because I rather a Warrior than a Derv hero.

Grenth and Melandru avatar paint jobs rule. I hate how people are telling the location to the secret lair already...although I managed to avoid hearing about it and figured it out myself from the picture. But I mapped to LA and first thing I see is "where the lair?" "It's in the Falls!"
Ugh..i hate people who broadcast spoilers to something as thought-out as that. Well, at least they did a pretty good job at getting people to head out to the jungle again...if they want to get the reward on all their chars they probably have to go back and do all those missions.(fastest way to get there). Good job Anet...cool looking hero, he'll get some use because the other dervs were just boring to look at and I don't mind another melee helping me out. Gives me another hero to hold my destroyer scythe too.

Pleasantly surprised. I normally have no use for a dervish but M.O.X. is just too cool looking so I'll just have to find a spot. LOL...GJ and thank you A-Net.

People are too stupefied to figure a easy and fun problem like this.
Anyways, Good Job ANet. I hope to see 4 more heroes for the other professions, all non-humans ^^ and all having at least 2 campaigns to go through.
Idc about the rewards, though the 10k per character is nice
. Glad I went through the Maguuma on most of my characters. I would want a Paragon hero next please. I love Morgan, but I need a change from the old man.

I was really impressed with this update, just doing the quests was rather fun, even though one of the first things I saw in ally chat when I logged on was the location of the lair, thereby taking away any of the fun of looking for it 
I know we can't expect updates like this all the time, but even occasionally, this new playable content is really a nice touch on anet's part.
Also, I like the summoning stones, and how the limitations on them make them far from imba. I'm also wondering if, since they made two of them, if they're planning to make more as well, and how they would be made available if they did.

Hmm - so not everyone should have MOX then (if we extend your argument)?
I would like to add my thanks to ANet for taking the time to infuse some life and bring some variety to the game, it is appreciated - but being unable to use the Fire Imp on one of my accounts (despite having all three campaigns for over a year from retail boxes) does smart a little. If I thought buying an extra character slot would be enough, then I'd be more than happy to (and yes - I already have unlock packs) but like most of the elder players say - I can live without if that's the way it has to be.
Congrats on MOX anyway ANet - I'm looking forward to more fruits of Linsey's work!

Do you need EotN in order to take the quest?
I'm having problems starting the M.O.X. quest, and I'm guessing the reason is that it is trying to load me into an EotN map. This doesn't go against what Anet have announced; you can get M.O.X. with the three campaigns but as it appears, you just can't do the quest. Can anyone confirm?

I wouldn't doubt that they didn't think about it when they put the quest giver in the "Hero tutorial" area which happens to be in Boreal Station.
There will probably be an update later to fix this. Or they will change the requirements to all 4...

Firstly I got the golem which I didnt think I would since all my games were boxed versions bought over the years rather than an electronic purchase.
Which I thought was the requirement.
Secondly I have a fire imp usable only by my <20 level mule characters but still a good deal.
Thirdly I had a character Birthday and got a Bone Dragon.
If it wasnt raining the day would be near perfect.

Don't know if anyone has commented on this so far, but couldn't that IMP be used as an extremely helpful tool for getting LDoA? Unless it leeches exp, that would be stupid as hell, but what do people think of that?

Plus the Imp has enough firepower to blast most pre-monsters to bits, you can't stop him from attacking and he has a pretty good self heal (Glyph of Restoration).
Getting Survivor + LDoA seems still more trouble than it's worth, if possible at all.
