Excellent new missions, a sign of things to come?
Hyper Cutter
You know, i'm not sure why those "Most Wanted Am Fah" signs spawn during the P.O.X. quest (instead of always being there). And I'd think our character would have a sign too, considering how many Jade Brotherhood we'd killed (including their leader, if you did the Straight To The Top quest)...

Well they are decent missions but what's the point of putting on all that health? then again it wouldn't be a "boss" if he didn't have ridiculous amounts...
all in all pretty good though

I admit it was fun, but I felt that they took their sweet time with this... I would have liked them to put this in a second BMP, or make some new weapon skins in exchange for our books. Or just add this to the already standing BMP..

Nice to see a positive thread though.I enjoyed the quests but tbh it was all over in under 30 minutes for me.The longest part was the run to the lair.Either way I'm hoping this will be a repeated theme although I'm not overly optimistic.
In saying thanks for the new content Anet.

I've done the ToA quest and attempted NOX (I brought too many interrupts, couldn't kill him fast enough XD). They are great quests, I just wish there was more backstory. That's why I'm so excited about the GW novels for the universe can be much more fleshed out.

anet deffinetlely delivered on this one. nox was a very versatile enemy, with good attacks, butt-load of health, and the little golems made it a slight bit more difficult. But there was, like the OP said, several different ways you could tackle him. pox and rox were somewhat fun, but didn't provide the challeneg nox did. and mox, although a dervish hero, was still a cool concept.
Overr I'd say I was impressed with this new quest.
Plus the 10k looked nice in my storage

I really enjoyed the missions! ^^ I do wish there was more to this update though :/
I'll love to see more enemies with more then 8 skills like N.O.X.

I think this along with how eye of the north was designed shows that anet has gotten better at quest/level design. The problem in the past basically comes down to monotony in that mobs are retarded, with retarded skills, and you run into a cookie cutter of said retarded mob constantly throughout the mission until the end. Missions like that are boring and the only reason I imagine anyone plays through them is to get to the better missions after them and/or the quest reward.
But these were good. More balanced mobs using actual builds instead of 3 random skills, secondary profession use, actuall objectives. Mission specific skills. Good rewards. Overall well done. If GW2 is done like this it will be a great game.
IMO all mobs should have some sort of utility to force players into using methods to kill them other then "outsmash with hueg damage and heug defense". Damage contests are lame.

both missions were easy the only part that was hard was the fact that they had a zillion hit points. which was more annoying then hard. also i don't think this content was that awesome when i saw the 5 page book i was like yes 5 new quests to do and i was disappointed to find out that i was wrong. additionally i think it would have been better if the last find his secret lair was acauly like a scavenger hunt where you had to go talk to random npcs throughout the game. and then the lair it self be an area that was completely new. not ola's lab all over again. lastly why didnt it ad a special little rock arch/door way thing to my map?

The new quests were fun. ROX was good, like fighting off a horde of enemies. NOX was a bit of the pain(self destruct? ouch) the first time, but once you knew what the mission was about it was pretty easy. POX was the worst mission. It was fun being disguised and battling assassin hordes in the street, but at the end was a bit boring. Beat down the Jade rits, then you can just walk away and your H/H will take down the golem.
Still, thanks for the new stuff anet, and anymore new content is very welcome.

I concur, I really, really enjoyed these quests, and the end was nice, with the 10k and what not.

I thought the one in Vabbi was annoying. Not hard, just annoying!
The one in ToA was OK, not great.
The one in cantha was the best of the three - enjoyed that one.
The text clue in the book made no sense at all, thank god for the picture!

Two big thumbs up!
I hope Anet will do more things like this to keep the user base interested in the game until GW2 comes out. While I appreciate the weekend events, they've lost their luster and they're not enough to keep me interested week in an week out. But something like M.O.X every so often will definitely keep me tuned in.
I'm not saying they should do a weekly M.O.X-like event, but maybe something like this every couple months or so.

I hope this is the new direction of the game. It was sad knowing that ANet let one lonely programmer for GW1, but now we've got a team of several people working on it, and if this is the way they plan to work, I'm in for them.

Thanks, ANet, for the new, free content!
I appreciate the fact that, even though there's no monthly fee, you guys are looking to add new quests and tweaks and so on.

I think that the "bad guy" behind the whole Golem story is the dragon in the rock when you slay The Great Destroyer

With Elona in disarray, Canthan's emperor assassinated and Kryta's princess murdered, he would be able to then steam roll all 3 nations and expand his empire much like the Romans did way back when.

We slayed Joko twice(if im not rong),once in Nightfall, once in BMP.I woudn't think they would make us slay him for a 3rd time
Abedeus
What? Excuse me, but in BMP you kill him few hundred years ago, and in NF you help him, not kill him. Besides, Joko will be in GW2 for sure.

I decided to try out racway with the new golem(2 paras and the ordres derv), it worked well inthe ToA mission, so I went to the cantha mission and I took devona and panaku for the physical hench, thinking I'd get more damage out of the orders, and I was a D-slash war myself.... then I went against the hoards of am fah assassins with their new flashing blades.... ow... teh blades.... tehy flash....

In all honesty I wasn't that impressed with the thing. It's a nice addition for the people who enjoy it, I gotta admit... but I think outside factors didn't help.
- I never got into the GW lore. Never. Short stuff based on stories kinda bore me, like the BMP. That's why I prefer either short farming runs or long one like Urgoz, The Deep, DoA. I don't care about the rewards too much.
- I hadn't done the required quests before heading into the missions. The 2 ones I did weren't that hard though, but we had a nice team setup. I might end up redoing them with more friends if they feel like it... alone just gets boring.
- I was on vent with 4 friends and one was completely amazed at the missions and what you had to do with it. She kept literally screaming in everyone's ears on how it was "OMFG SOOOOOOOOO COOL" (I'm not exaggerating) and without my admin rights... well... either I exited Vent and stopped talking with my friends, or beared with the girl and say something between the "WOOOOOW AMAZING!!!!"s.
So once I realized I didn't meet the requirements... I clicked the X and only logged on the next day >_>.

Typical guru...
I hear a LOT of complaints about how the missions "weren't that good," but not a lot of suggestions or constructive critism on how to make them better.

For me it is great any addition. I paid my money a few years ago if they are willing to toss out a bone here and there I will take it with little complaints.

Each quest was very short and not very complicated, at best it felt like the transition quests between continents. The last one is just a run, and running can be fun expecially when you know you are headed for a big "falls".
The real question I have is what the new consumable is best used for and is 10 all you will ever get. Having 10 different toons, all the different classes, I have now completed the set this 4 times.

Anyway, there have been more then enough good suggestions posted already. In my opinion the best move would be replacing the bosses with a team of 'bosses' that actually resemble a balanced team. In a 1vs8 fight, you need to give the single guy all kinds of crazy buffs to make the fight interesting. With a 8-10vs8 fight (with actually good skillbars on the monster side), things get more interesting without imbalanced things.

I brought interrupts the second time around, and it was much easier. But I do appreciate a boss that can beat a build I've used for vanquishing. |

Yea the quests were enjoyable, futhermore the reward was very cool
I was kinda lucky on NOX tba....like he had only 10% hp left when he manges to cast that uber-powah skill and he spike-kills all my team except for me...I land one hit and then he deactivates xD
Good job on the missions, managed to make me play something else from the weekly guild runs

Wail of Doom is an effective shutdown for the golems also.
