New Displayable Title: Guild

it would bother you to have xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx under some names, but titles like "Connoisseur of Confectionaries" or "Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer" are ok? ehh, these are long and i can't see them annoying.

Also this is really great idea, for example: there's [Koss] guild in our alliance and i'm keep meeting ppl [Koss] tags outside our alliance - same tag, but different names, someone outside our ally would think it's both same guild - this idea is really great imo, but wouldn't work too great if you had both title + guild name displayed - i say either guild name or title(heck, even make it a title that doesn't count towards KoABD)

Any guilds with overtly offensive names that bypassed the filter would show up. I'd give some examples, but I don't want to get banned on guru

While I like the idea in principal, in pratice I fear what sorta stuff would get displayed. I think a.net limited guilds to using tags for a reason, (much like how Halo 3 makes tags that are like H93, G30, K22) to prevent offensive abuse of the system.

I think it could create a market for guild names which would be extremely awesome.

I don't see it being any different than people avoiding the filter with character names. Perhaps also upgrade the Report system to report offensive guild names then? Doesn't seem to hard to implement.

this idea is fail....the guild tag is already there, people dont need to be bogged w your annoying guild names, hence the way it already is.

would rather just display the guild name and tag below my name and leave room for displaying a real title. like:

My Cool Name
My Cool Guild [MCG] (L) (L = leader, O = officer, M = member)
I'm Very Important (3)

i think the old system worked fine for a long time, but 3 years into the game...there's so many duplicate tags, it is hard to guess who you are dealing with just based on a tag.

There are a lot of people faking ther guild's tags.

Don't forget that only tags can be duplicated and guild names need to be unique, so even if there was one guild with this name, it wouldnt hurt much.

This could be abused for people to make their own title if they are not in a guild. Seriously how could "Your Mom" get filtered.

I just though of something. if this were implemented they would have to make a restriction on guild names so that no one would have guilds named after titles.
