I have tried to enjoy both sides of the game, but you can only do so much in PVE before it becomes a grind-fest, and PVP is really just dead. I'm now going to spend my time catching up on the many great games I missed over the last 3+ years. I'll still be on this forum and my guild's forum, and always hope for that one update, that one big change that shows Anet really gives a damn anymore.

Have you stopped playing?

Glad you reminded me, another reason I quit was the sheer amount of idiots I had to deal with. Yep, those 4 gigs of hard drive space won't be missed.

I might go do some charr runs in pre (or anything in pre really), but other than that, I haven't actually been playing as much as I have been.

If I stopped playing, why the hell would I be on the forum?

Just jumped ship to warhammer... I'll pop back in for special farming weekends and to do my xulanai picks until my hall it totally pimped for gw2.

No. I'm in the .0x percentile that can play purely for fun, and do whatever i feel i enjoy, without giving a damn about if it's accepted or considered 1337 (while not being bad at the game). This has kept me playing casually for 3 years, all the while having fun. I love GW.
JASON626
I quit playing, well i guess taking a break for an undetermined amount of time in May so about 4 months off. I still do tourny predictions and z chest stuff with the points. it was 18 months and 4,000 hours before boardom hit. Some friends quit GW and are playing WoW. I play Company of Heroes.

that being said i do get great satisfaction at just going through dungeons for the usually crappy drop at the end just to see the effort and beautiful renditions that went into creating the game.
@OP: no i dont play the game, i just have non-existent social skills and decide to post on the forums all day. true fact. (at least for quite a few people on here...).

I have been dwindling lately, not playing as much as i used to
I was planning on finishing some titles on my primary necro but after doing 26 titles i do not have the energy to finish any more I actually started playing a little bit more on my other characters and especially my warrior but i am suffering the same old (what to do) syndrome and i end up logging off after half an hour...
Also, Racthoh is alive i kinda miss reading some of your posts on here...

I was a huge Proph fan, played it all the time. I quit after I beat Factions because I hated the Faction grind and blindbots just wrecked me in PvP so I had nothing left to enjoy. I made a blindbot and wrecked people for a while but that got boring so I quit. Came back for NF for a couple months then quit again. Just came back about a month ago to a dead guild to play EotN. I filled my hall with the stuff I didn't have to grind for. Grind is a big turn off for me (can you tell?) and sadly that seems there's all that is left. Looks like only KoaBD 2 or 3 would be easily done without a huge time sink anyway. I try to come back for holidays and then get bored when they are over.
Sucks I've only really cleared FoW back in the day. Never made it all the way through UW, Urgoz, barely made it into the Deep. Don't think I have even seen DoA endgame, I left before they added it then. Never got to do an AB or GvG, at least not a real one. Mostly did RA and loved it but it got boring too. I just put a Destro axe in my HoM for the hell of it, but I'm bummed I can't add any of my other 25 axes or 30 shields to it.
Lately I've ran some dungeons with H/H since I have no friends left on the game, but now I am bored. I have a WoW account but I hate that game. I like GW, I am just bored I have to grind or farm faction to "accomplish" anything. Went to get Protector of Cantha last night and got stuck trying to get into the Hatchery since I went Kurzick. Not really looking forward to the Luxon faction farm just to beat one mission for a title.
Got like four 20s but I only like my warrior. Funny thing is I made her just to screw around with guildies in Pre back in the day and she wound up becoming my main somehow with about 100 days /age and 5 mil xp or something and like 200 extra skillpoints now. Made a pre warrior the other day but I am bored with that now too. Guess I just wish GW2 would get here already and hopefully it's not a WoW grindfest clone like EotN seems to be. Think I might just go back to WoW and own people with my rogue or warrior until GW2 comes out, even though PvP in that game is anything but balanced, but then I feel like I will be missing out for not stocking my hall. Was saving up for a Torment axe and shield and some more elite armors, dunno why tho I don't like the skins, just feel compelled to stock the hall more.
Makes me sad really. Love the game. Love my war. Miss my friends on here. Miss doing Droks runs and farming Griffons, taking my 55 through FoW, Gear tanking lol and all the other cool stuff. Best damn game I ever played. Now I just log in, start to do something that involves the least amount of grind, then log out. Looks like I wrote a book, didn't mean to. Sorry.

I'm struggling to find anything worth while to do. The loot nerf sucked the life out of the game.

Lately, tbh I have been playing less, just dont have alot of things to do.

What a great community Guild Wars has.
Mending wammo with Charge is the new RA meta.
Seriously, they ought to hax mending in PVP just like they did to smiters boon.
25e, 5sc, 90 recharge...
Enchantment spell - gain +1...3 health regen but take double damage.
Wait... That would make it too awesome to play a mending bonder =D

It's been 8 months since I've played, title grind is what killed me. Logged on the other day, played for a hour and uninstalled the game, its dead. Which is sad, Anet had a good game, but messed it up by adding eotn skills ( you all know the skill). The pvp died bigtime(heroway ftl) GW2 will never come out! y? there will be no fan base for it (imo).

anyways on topic: I've basically only logged on to get the prediction points and to check out mox lately.
I Just find going for the big titles very unrewarding.

I still vanquish sometimes, but I usually just sit around and talk to people...so you can say I've stopped playing :P

I quit about 2 months ago, because i was getting bored. But now i'm back, something says i just can't keep away from gw
DarkEnzanArikado
I don't play the game really, its like a full screen chat program that is not be used as often, as more and more of my friends on gw quit.
eX_Hawk
I'm slowly playing less and less. Up until recently I played just to be with all my friends to play, and now they're all gone... qq... Now I sign on just to realize all my friends are gone so I sign off and slit my wrists... For anyone saying "poor you" (non sarcastic) I need the guild wars friends! For those of you saying "aww poor you" (sarcastic) then... yeah I agree with you, be my friend too!
GUILD WARS IS GETTING MORE AND MORE LONELY AS THEY ADD NEW CONTENT! I WANT A "TURN OFF ALL CAMPAIGNS BUT PROPHECIES WEEKEND!" (And yes, caps locks makes me feel cool)

I quit playing about.... 9 months ago. like 2 months after EOTN i guess. I havent been keeping track really. So many other games to play that aren't boring the minute you log in.
Issac
Still playing, enjoying talking with people and working on titles etc. If you don't talk to anyone online while playing then its ganna get boring.

I have taken many "vacations" away from geedub, but lately have been back at it like a fiend.
Zebideedee
Nope here, I'm a relative noob, only got about a year ago, I was a hardcore UT2004 junkie, UT3 was a bit of a letdown, and GW's filled the gaming gap quiet nicely, I'll be playing for a while
I'm <---Dreaming but can you imagine an instagib version of HM lool

I'm on and off, more off then on. Eotn wasn't enough to keep players occupied until GW2.
Master Sword Keeper
yea, more and more players are droppin out.
I think they need to revert all the nerfed skills in PvE back to their
original states.
but everyone's right,
Games finished, if i was a programmer I'd give what the players what they wanted instead of ignoring them constantly?
That way i could reap the benefits and not get a bad rating on gamer mags.
8.5 for EoTn, pretty pityful. Not enough skills, reskinned armours, Ursan, Does anyone see the word p4a1l there anywhere?
*cracks knuckles* CoD4 here i come.

i have had 2 hiatuses from GW thus far - both times due to RL issues (aka being overseas with a crap ISP) - at the rate I am going I expect I can play a full year before I run out of things that I want to do on my various characters. Perhaps I will be fortunate enough to be able to transition directly from GW to GW2.
cosyfiep
5800+ hours and still going strong....yes I keep playing, I have set goals for my characters (have about 16 active ones right now)...just got my ss necro her dwarven armor...still more to do and so little time!
EinherjarMx
yes, because my vidcard died (along with 2 of my hard drives T_T )
so i'm struggling to navigate with a stupid asus vanta16 agb whose drivers i can't seem to find
i hope i'll get a new comp in the next 3 weeks

Hyper.nl
No. I continue playing. Not as insanely much as I played in the past (getting titles etc.) but I'm still here.
Mangione
Yes, I stopped playing for some time.
Always due to HM, when the game becomes too frustrating.
e.g. Before consumables and EotN pve skills, when trying to vanquish Bazar Wajjun HM H/H, the Jade Brotherhood killed my interest in the game for a month.
e.g. In June, after trying for several days to do Vloxen Excavations HM I took a break from the game.
Now I'm taking a two weeks break out of frustration after trying for an entire week to do that stupid dungeon again.
Anyway, my Xbox360 is getting always more of my gaming time, even if from time to time i forget the frustration of some GW areas and come back.

After 5000 hours I got bored. But only because of the economy. I loved to farm and sell stuff, but after GE:EN everything (except for a couple of items) was worthless.
That made me quit for 1 year. Came back last month and loving it again (although the economy is still broken).

In the past several months I found debating on GW in guru more entertaining than playing GW.
Brother Andicus
Quit around a year ago due to inept balancing, got back into it a bit, and then quit again in response to Smiters Boon/GvG updates.
Doubt i'll be back to GW.
Continuing to keep an eye on things to see whether I should show any interest in GW2 or not.

And to answer the thread question, yes I stoped playing back in winter, and by the looks of it, I ain't coming back.
And I also realized life is possible without PC games. Haven't played anything for like 20 days now, because I uninstalled everything since I realized I was spending all my time on them.

I have nothing left entertaining in this game left.
War is coming. Also, heavens will tremble and I'm mad enough to get into the nanosuit. Oh, and I have yet to eat some bugs in Spore and convert the unbelievers.
