Have you stopped playing?
Vinraith
My pattern has always been to play pretty intensely for maybe four months out of the year, then take a break for maybe 8 months, then return. I'm on break at the moment (was just checking in to see what's changed since December) but I try to time that block of active time to hit the interesting festivals and whatnot, so I'll probably be "on" again soon.
MidoGingi
since i bought it in 06 i've had burst when i'd play it for like 7months then quit to something else for a few months.. very cyclical. mainly due to my lack of in game friends... kinda sux to soloing everything all the time for always.... but yea i came back to peak in on you guys only to find the communitys is dying so much.. used to be rare to go anywhere and not have a crowd now it would be shocking to see one outside of the pvp zones. i remember the good ol' days when LA had like 6 districts at prime time...

Stopped, and dont think will play again soon

Nope, I still play all most every day. I got the game about 4 days after it was live and regret not getting the collectors edition. I have tried a few other games but I have not found anything I like as much as gw.
Pleikki
Yeah lately moved bit to other games as doesnt have atm so much intrest on gw, i dont like grinding titles and neither trade. so im pretty inactive on gw.. like most ppl said above, just sitting on gh and not really doing anything..

I only logged in for one time during the last 2 weeks.... that was when I made one of my officers the guild leader. I just don't have much time for playing atm as the new school year has just started & GW has become quite boring over the years... but still I am planning to come back at christmas or earlier, when I am not that busy at school anymore

I played alot over the last 3 years. I had a great time with the game and look forward to guild wars2. I still do some pvp, but after getting my 30th pve title on my main, I dont play much at all. Most of the players in our guild dont log on much. I still will do some weekend events. But for now, War has come, and I must bring order to chaos.

I'm about to take a major break with GuildWars. It's a great game but everything has it's limitations. (2500+ hours played)
Except for Urgoz and The Deep I reached all my goals and see not much further options to develop my char. I may play some Aspenwood / AB and join in with festivals but that's about it.
I maybe go try WoW on free servers and wait for GW2 for a full return.

I finished the last title I wanted and got the last armor I thought was worth a shit. If I really wanted it, I'd go for a Dryad bow...until that urge becomes overwhelming, I'm retired.

I'm a three year Veteran and have recently come back after a three month break.
With the MOX stuff, it's been interesting to play again for a while and i guess it'll last a few more months until i get bored again or some other game pops up that takes my attention (like Mass Effect did).

I LIKE GUILD WARS.... it might be an odd thing to say on a guild wars forum, but I appear to be in the minority. I have played almost everyday for over two years and still enjoy doing missions and PvP. It's FUN.
Etta
I left the game awhile back as well, only pick it up and play again for the past few days. Keep my mind of things, I guess. I'll stop again when Fallout 3 comes out.
That's the beauty of GW. You can come and go as you please.

I've cut back my playing time a lot recently due to some RL issues.
Besides that, it's not that the game got boring, more that I'm not feeling like putting a lot of time into grouping and playing 'solo' isn't fun for me.

I still play and have been trying to work on some of my other characters. Trying to get survivor and legendary in pre. I also think the game needs new content. Anet should get off their backsides and realize that if they want to sell us GW2 they better keep us around. There have been many suggestions for new content. MOX and the fire IMP were nice and a good time. But pretty easy to do 2people and 6 heros easily can do the 3 golems. But the rewards were nice.
We need new quests and places to descover. New dungeons. New PvP. New Elite Areas. New good stuff to find. A merchant that can sell stuff for us. New quests that take us to all the lands and take some time and work.

I quit playing GW several months ago. I renewed my WoW account and played that for a couple of months till I got bored of WoW (yet again). Now I am playing LotRO and having a pretty good time with that.
In my opinion, GW > LotRO > WoW. The problem with GW is that it seems to be in "holding pattern/go nowhere" mode right now. The only thing that would get me playing GW again with any enthusiasm would be the introduction of 7 heroes. Otherwise, I'm pretty much done with GW. Grinding for titles/vanquishing is just way too boring for me.
Age of Conan and Warhammer interest me not at all. Dragon Age, a new single-player RPG coming out next year, though, looks very promising.

I've been playing since early june 2005, loved it from the start. It was/is my first MMO, simply because I refuse to pay per month to play a game.
The game HAS gotten old, but I've set goals for myself that take a lot of time to achieve, thus keeping myself busy.
Furthermore, I play all 10 professions, plus I am working on a survivor mule (lol), and I have a perma-pre ranger for nostalgic reasons.
Last but not least, I am guild leader, and truly enjoy playing with my guildies. And because my girlfriend recently got addicted as well, and joined my guild, I've always got someone to share my free time with online. It's fun to help her through the game with my own "left behind" characters.
I hope to reach GWAMM before GW2 arrives. And seeing as my work, housekeeping, girlfriend, other hobbies and social life take up a vast amount of my time, I can only spend so much online, therefore my goals will take some time to accomplish.
so yeah, I still play, and probably will untill my goals are accomplished and/or GW2 arrives.

Yep, it has come to that time again where I take a break from GW. That isn't to say though that I'm going to completely ignore GW and not login at all. I will every few days/weeks or so. Just aren't enough updates or new things going on in GW. My next big anticipated update if ever is the 7 heroes update and hairstyle change update. I can always be hopeful...

Been playing around with valve games......waiting for

I still play, bit atm, all I do is:
1) Sit on my GH talking to alliance/guild
2) AB and RA
3) Buy stuff/Level up my new Mesmer (which I love)

Having played this game for close to 2.5 years straight since June 2005 I kinda seen everything in the game there is to see. Transferred to WoW since January.
Only log on GW occasionally to spec so GvG games.

I've taken a break to play Spore, and might take another break to play Fallout 3, but I'll always come back. GW is my first love!

I stopped playing since a month ago when school started. The game is just too dull now, and I don't really have time for it either.
I mostly just pop on here a few times a week now hoping for an update that may actually entice me to log on again.

I've not "played" for quite a few months now.
I've been on in the last few months, but it was just to talk to a friend and sometimes try and get a few ectos from UW.
After three years of gaming i think i have less than 1000hours total, which is pretty cool, but i think most of that time was just standing around in towns.
I also still need to get FoW chest haha.. I wanted the set since i first saw it.
But i can't even remember the last time i did a mission or a quest.
I'm gonna be on a few days again for the events, such as Halloween or Wintersday, i always pick up souvenirs from events n_n.
Ahh yeah and on Wintersday i'll be grinding that quest to try and get a Polar Bear this time lol, damn i had a long grind at that last year, no luck!

Last thing i did was buy fow armor about a month and 1/2 ago. I don't have to grind/farm/mindlessly repeat the same quest in a lot of games for the 360 so unless something changes, xbox is my new best friend.
Master Sword Keeper
heh, yea i've given in to the game for a while. Just dont have the time or patience to put up with it anymore. I've gone from Nerdie gamer to hard-core vehicle enthusiast. So my car is my new focus. =) im not regretting ever playin the game but. Was fun.
Cloud_Deven
yea, if anet doesn't complete GW2 soon or do something to keep people playing everyone is going to eventually just leave out of boredom

Yeah i stopped playing. The never ending title grind is what burns me to death and back. I am all about gear, dungeons and story. When those run out and the endgame to GW is title grinding, it doesnt really fit my fancy. I try to come back and play once in a while, i do good for about a week. lol. Then boom, i realize how i have done everything and dont want to title grind.
I have been dieing to play a MMO again. So i tried out AoC and bought it on release. It sucks of course. I lasted maybe 2 weeks before i turned into a massive troll on their forums. Played a lil GW then i never really was interested in WAR before. But i bought it out of boredom. I am pleasantly suprised by it. So far its fairly good for me. One thing i am missing a whole bunch is the social aspect of an MMO. I dont have one yet in WAR. I made a good friend GW and a few others, and i miss having that.
But i will be back and playing hard on the annoucement of GW2. I will be collecting all my elite armors, weapons and whatever i can.

Well i personally feel that they have slowed production a little and cant release a whole lot of information on GW2 - solely due to the publishers new game AION that was supposed to be released this Nov and pushed back till spring 09. Worse thing a game publisher can do is make competition for itself. With that being said, dont expect any MAJOR info on GW2 till after the release of AION.

The only time I log in now is to pick up my reward points and cash in and then almost immediately log out. Other than that, I may as well uninstall the game. I haven't actually played for more than a few minutes since sometime back in January or February, and even then my interest was waning. There's just not much left this game has to offer, especially for those of us who've been played since or near launch. I've gone back to Battlefield 2 for now, I may be going back to WoW or EVE next semester but for now just sticking with some quick FPS games.

I've pretty much given up on GW I bought it a few months after it came out, i haven't gotten GWAMM, but now they've announced that the HOM can be account-based (whenever that happens), i just focussed on my main, who has 5 elite armours, 25 minipets, loads of hero armour sets and at least half the destroyer weapons (no wai am i going for tormented), and will add my warrior's legendary survivor when they implement the changes.
Now I log in periodically to check /age, I have an undedicated Water Djinn and Mr Freezie, but I can't be bothered to try and sell them, and as my HOM is full of pets I can't be bothered to dedicate them.
The prospect of title grinding bores me, getting max Asura was bad enough. As for money, after I fill my destroer weapons I will have no need for money in the game apart from to buy the few necro skills i don't have. Then what? running around doing HM vanquishing and missions? No thanks, i've moved on to WoW now and am loving it.

Taking a break. Re-playing Oblivion while I wait for my Fallout 3 to arrive!

GWars has been great. Free online gaming, tons of stuff to do, etc. You can always come back even if or when bored for a time. Too much of anything's bad for ya, so it's only common that we take breaks from time to time. It's even a great idea to try out some other games while GWars 2 is in the works. I've been playing for over 3 years now and have yet to quit. I can definitely say though, that my activity level isn't the same as it was when I first started GW1, or when the new campaigns and expansion came out. All in all, I'mma keep steamin' til I get bored enough.. or until GW2 comes out (whichever comes first).
Batou of Nine
i havent seriously played GW for over 6 months now. I played for about 3 years, and frankly, a game like GW cant hold interest much longer. If it was an open world based MMO, it could probably hold my interest for much longer. As a close ended action RPG, it naturally has limitations on replayability... But i can honestly say i really really enjoyed those 3 years of playing GW!! GW2 is promising in regard to replayability and game mechanics, perhaps something that i can really enjoy for 3-5 years, i really look foward to it.
Since stopping, i have picked up Hellgate: London again, despite its state of limbo, i still enjoy its d2 style of play. Crysis, and Crysis: Warhead/Wars. And begging my roommate (apartement owner) to split cost with me for a better isp... argh!

Taking a break for a while playing mostly Anarchy Online (froob) and occasionally dropping in to FA when I'm in the mood. Was playing very intensely, then it got boring. In a few months I'll probably be in the mood again and get back to playing a lot.
But if I do I will likely be looking to PUG more since I've H&H'd most everything I want to. Unless they bring in 7 heroes so I can go into a creative frenzy putting team builds together.
