DoA to 12 Man?

Currently DoA is dead, and it has been since the Ursan nerf. I found DoA fun, with or without ursan, as well as a good source of money. I am fortunate enough to be in a alliance that does DoA and other areas. However, it is extremely rare to find pugs for these. The only two other places that have a 12 person party are the Deep and Urgoz, both elite missions like DoA. These aren't that busy either, but it is still possible to get a non-guild pug.
I feel that if DoA was changed from 8 man to 12 man, or somewhere in between, it would give more teams a greater chance in forming. What do you guys think?

Well it's already easy if you understand aggro patterns and the people you're playing with aren't complete failures. (This is outside of Tank 'N' Spank, by the way)
I'm not really sure this'll be the spark that will ignite DoA again though. All of the elite areas are dead, atleast from what I hear. If you ask me, the problem behind this is the incentive from those areas and not the difficulty.

its hardenough as it is to get 12 people to do the deep i think this would be the same.

Just wait till the price for a Voltaic spear drops to a few k. DoA will relive then.

I think that if you could have 12 people in a party more people would do the run because it would be quicker and easier. I think that the only reason that people don't want to form a party for the deep is because of the bad drops at the end chest. I think that people would form parties for easy tormented weapons.

The deep is easy and it is still an 'elite area'. Maybe this isn't the answer, I'm sure after a while people are going to start experimenting with builds again after the VS farm dies. I'm sure there are other people out there who want to be able to go to DOA and get some gem sets for tormented weapons. I don't know what to suggest, if they increase the party size then it probably would be overkill if all 12 party members had max lb but perhaps they might consider increasing the amount of gems you get in the run to attract more players to attempt to clear DOA.

and anyway,i would need 2 partners to do it with heroes instead of just 1 :P
I think pugs can be doable tho,its just people were so used to ursan that now they just cant do anything without that shit

Better rewards would be smarter to bring people back to DoA, more people partyes would only make the area more laughable than it is

However I don't think it will revive it like the ursan days as most common players don't have an idea what builds to run.

You are having trouble finding 7 other people to do DoA, so your solution is to make people find 11 others instead?
Doesn't make much sense to me. Area is dead, and it is hard to find a team, so lets make the team size bigger. That will make it harder to form a team, not easier.

Change Ursan (IN A SPECIAL SKILL for only Elite Zone): DoA , UW , FoW , Urgoz , Deep and Duncan .
SPECIAL SKILL:
Ursan becomes maximum damage only in the Elite Area.
And the time period increases.

Completely unneeded change. It's fine as it is... it was designed for 8-man teams and it's possible to complete it with 2man+6heroes...
increasing party size won't make DoA more popular or easier to make complete successful teams. Big party brings more problems too, more afkers/leechers (team of 10 will just continue without waitning for 2 leechers), more random people = bigger chance for someone screwing up entire run... bad idea, just bad.

I agree with MagmaRed's post, in its entirety.
Also, PuGs can easily play 8 man in NM. More experienced players should be able to do HM, and it should remain that way.

Whatever it is players do in Foundry to hide the Forgotten from the Black Beast so they don't have to worry about their safety.
Everything that allows players to kill Mallyx from outside the environmental effects.
Then... maybe.

The pve aspect of GW is pretty much dead, shame, I used to like PUGing. I don't know a fix in the world that can prevent people from just getting bored with a game.

I say we increase all "elite" 8-man zones to 12, and 12-man zones to 16. Not like the economy can be even more dead :P

What would be nice imo, would be to give a random gold drop at the end of each area, making it like a dungeon.
The reason it is dead is that pugs cant complete it easily/quickly, and the rewards arent that great for a long haul. If you can complete stygian veil in an hr (hm) and get a gold drop, it would become like a dungeon, and imo more popular.
The other option I can see is add henchmen to the elite outposts Deep/Urgoz/DoA so that you dont have to pug. Atm its impossible to do anything there apart from dual heroes pug or alliance. If you could fill out ur party with crappy henchies, atleast then the random player could slowly take it through, will be difficult, but it can work.

12 in DoA is and always has been unnecessary. in the beginning (before the birth of Ursans) it was done easily with 8, and still is today. In fact, you dont need a full group of real people to make it all the way through as it is. I go there and finish on a regular basis with a party of 2 people and the rest heros. So 12 in DoA? absolutely not.
