Wow...seems like most Kurzicks were HFFFing and Luxons were ABing...Lux was controlling towns with only 4mil while our alliance(Kurzick) had 19 mil and didn't own anything...lmao

Some odd terms came up while I was in Lutgardis. What the hell is a Cronus? Saw a lot of people "HFFF 100g/drop need Cronus".

While the Alliance Battle arenas were certainly busier than normal, I saw maybe two or three AB requests in my entire Alliance. But I did see dozens of H/FFF farming/leeching requests.
I prefer the double faction points in Alliance Battles over a farming weekend like this. Not only did you, Anet, devalue the faction title to an even more worthless state, but you encouraged farming and grinding rather than actual real gameplay.
This thread lauds this weekend left and right, so I guess you do cater to the grinders as you want to maintain an inflated player base for the game.

It was a good weekend, got some AB pracitce in. Vanquished the crap outta Pongmei Valley, and got some nice loot for doing it! (the 2,500 faction every 30 minutes was nice, too.) QUIET YOU HFFFer's!
All told, I casually got 180K points & am now R6 Kurzick.

Since the release of Factions I have made some 1,5 mil Luxon Faction playing Aspy. (But since there was no benefit in donating it I traded it in for rocks, which means I am now somewhere around Rank4.)
One does not earn this title by playing the game.
The title itself encourages farming and grinding.
What you saw on the AB weekends wasn't people expressing their love for AB. You saw people abusing the best option available.
And the same thing happened this weekend.
Because thats the ONLY bloody way one gets there!

I managed to squeeze in 2 full bars of faction from HFFF during my busy weekend. Barely got r3, yay. 150k more for r4 = 15 full bars divided by 4 because of bonus weekend = nearly 4 full bars = 4x25 HFFF runs = 100 HFFF runs... sheesh I have better stuff to do. And now the weekend is over I'm going to need 200 runs for r4. r12 is max you say?
Quick calculation: 10 mil faction with 400 faction per HFFF run divided by 2 for the donation/skills = 12500 HFFF runs. Minus the amount you got by doing the quests and some vanquishing, and perhaps some AB I'm guessing that would leave you with roughly 12000~12300 runs left to do. Christ allmighty. At 1 min per run that's 200~205 hours of boring HFFF. Seriously Anet, what on earth were you thinking?
Let's hope the grinding title update will make this title seriously easier to achieve, because vanquishing all kurzick areas and doing all quests get you, what, 1 rank in this rediculous title? maybe 2? And let's face it, there aren't many people who would vanquish all kurzick areas ánd do all the quests with áll their characters. Usually you go through that with 1, maybe 2 characters, the others don't vanquish and only do the main storyline quests (at least that's the situation in my case).
Then it's grind yourself silly with HFFF, or you'd have to be REALLY REALLY into AB.

Did some HFFF for 2.5 hours or so and got from R3 to R4.

finished a bunch of luxon quests with the rest of my characters (still have one that needs to do gayla and the rest of those quests that follow it) only 50k shy of r4 luxon---which I should get from the character still doing gayla---and turning in for skills (that none of my characters need anylonger)...then back to kurzick to get my r4 there---lots of my elonians have yet to do those quests---they are easy, fast and get you lots of xp/faction--so why not do them with all the characters that can??? (11 have done it, 6 still have some or all---just got my last 2 character up to house zu heltzer--).
was fun, but am kinda sick of factions ---will go back to doing hero handbooks in eye for a while.

I got from rank 4 to halfway to rank 6 and finished Legendary Survivor on my char that has been sitting around for ages waiting for me to HFFF. My husband finally got to rank 4. We are quite happy.

Did just over 1.35 Mil on the Luxon Title track, but couldnt quite manage to get R11 (130k away). Weekend was definitely a nice help though.
