Now that favor is about to run out

I wonder if they fixed that double display that "the world has lost favor". I was wondering this a few month ago b4 anet bailed out the timer with another 30k, now they had another 3 months to fix it, wonder if they did.

To answer the question: no.
They were probably to busy with fixing THAT hair on THAT Norn guy that we see for 2 secs if you enter THAT cave while the full moon is shining.
Although if it's cloudy - it's going to be a no-go.
Just think of favor as tapped watter.
It was fun while it lasted - now you'll just have to buy it from the merch.

Some guy in my Alliance (who is about average when it comes to knowledge of the game) is telling everybody that it'll just reset to another 30k when the favor runs out. Dunno if that's true, but I didn't think it was.

One UWSC run requires 0.125 of scroll, but nets 1 scroll. So anyone who UWSCs and has success rate of at least 12.5% (!!!) should have never ending supply of scrolls.
In other words, successful run generates 7 scrolls. you can succeed in every 8th run and you would never have to buy scrolls from trader.

NEW scroll price 5k EACH. Why would you sell scrolls for 1K anymore??? The only way to get in is with scrolls soon.

Im counting on either a favor bump, them doing nothing to get the economy going again OR they might just have a massive title boost weekend.

I hope it runs out. Be nice to be earning some favor again instead of just having it sit there.

As for Favor running out - It's no big deal, because there will be a TON of people maxing out Drunkard, Sweettooth, & Party-animal titles in the forth-coming week.
I don't think it'll hit 30K minutes, but it may be enough to see us through to Christmas, when a whole bunch of other people will be maxing titles. On top of that, generating minutes will probably go much faster after the title re-balance due out in November.

the november update is with titles. that will probably add a bunch, most likely lux/kurz, id speculate a scale change for lucky/unlucky and im hoping for account wide wisdom/treasure hunter. this would add a bunch of time on the favor clock.
id be in favor of the old favor system again. wait a bit so some scrolls get used up, then keep the scrolls in place but remove the merchant for them. this way solo ecto farmers would use them up faster than the clearers could replenish them. this might renew interest in HA.

So we should get one free minute of favour every 12 minutes? That makes sense...
My best guess is that they will let us sweat it out for a month or two and then another massive title weekend.

The old system sucked. It was PvP, and never meant to be, like the old PvP with no PvP characters. PvP was fixed, removed from the lands of PvE, leaving only rifts and empty arenas behind, and moved to the Battle Isles, were it should have been from the start.
The current one has a little flaw: it depends on something that can't be remade again and again. And with the "title rework" news, people is waiting for the update to keep grindind again.
It should be supported with an additional source of favor time:
* When we are not under favor, for each 10 elite or masters missions or quests completed, one point is added towards getting Favor, as if someone acquired a new title.
* When we are not under favor:
** For every 100 normal quests completed (both repeatable and not repeatable), 1 minute is added.
** For every 10 missions completed, 1 minute is added.
** Every time a challenge record is broken, 1 minute is added.
* At any time, each time a character finishes a campaign, one minute or one point towards Favor starting is added added.

Doesn't really matter since the end chest always drops a scroll. I can only assume people aren't just leaving them on the floor since they do stack.

...or Anet could remove the concept of Favor altogether, since it hasn't meant anything since the last SS/LB weekend. More, with the UW and FoW scrolls you don't need Favor anyway. Would fix the 'double message' which OP stated as well.

Mister nightlover above me is semi-right. It's just the supply is there easy. All of us who UW SC will each get a scroll at the end of every completion, some two. So 1 SC using 1 scroll, if completed, will yield 8+ scrolls. So every completed clears octuples the amount of scrolls from the original amount used to get in, 1. So moar SC's=moar scrolls to meet any demand there may be.

Scrolls also drop from monsters in the UW, most solo or duo farms will get 1 drop. ALSO they drop from bosses in HM NOT IN UW OR FOW, so theres also this supply. Somehow I cant see us running out any time soon. And theres also the slower, but still their return of favor. People havent stopped maxing titles, theres just not so many.
