If you have a few million in ectos in order to pay for some of the titles...

I baked a cake today.
30 titles is obtainable in a few months if you really care that much about this game.
And no, Winterclaw, the three buy-able titles cost 3-6 million, TOTAL.

The last thing I could care about is GW2 in general. I lost my enthusism over it about eight months ago.
Start trying to get Protector, Guardian and Vanquisher titles now. Sooner or later, Guild Wars will have not many people to group with... that it already has now...

A few million in ectos. 3-6 million total, is a few million. What's the argument here?

If you have more time then max the kurz luxons and you only need 1. Maxing the kurz/luxon should give you the money to buy sugar/drunkard. Although, there is supposedly a title balance coming up soon. I think its meant to be nxt month but dont wanna say it is coz i could be wrong. This may mean that maxing kurz/luxon becomes easier, or that sugar/etc becomes easier. So imo if ur gonna start wait a month or two, or for now just do easy titels (ss/lb prots etc.)

There is a title update coming for November, hopefull first week like it's suppose to. Save all grinding for after that.
The Legendary titles (Guardian, Skill Hunter, Cartographer, Vanquisher, MotN) gives 20, then there are 6 rep titles which are already not too hard to max. Those 26 would take you about a month if your serious, about a half a year if not so much and only play 1 character.
For the last 4, I say wait after November to "plan ahead." As it seems to me, it will include Treasure Hunter/Wisdom, Kurzick/Luxon (those four are positives), Drunkard, Sweet Tooth, Party Animal, Un/Lucky (Unlucky is comfirmed for a slight rework, but Lucky unknown), and Gamer (which seems to just be getting more points during events; not worth trying to max out imo).
I would probably work to TH/W and K/L depending on how they are changed, as all 4 will be account based for sure. Same for Un/Lucky (which is probably the easiest to max if you have the cash - just afk on 9 Rings for 5 Boardwalk events or so).

Depending on what campaigns you have and such it could be either time consuming and kind of cheap, or expensive as a Porsche and a little time consuming.
If you have Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and EotN, doing the Protector, Guardian, Vanquisher, Skill Hunter, and Cartographer title tracks for each one nets 19 maxed titles. Add in Master of the North for 20 total. Toss in the Reputation Rank titles (Asuran, Norn, Ebon Vanguard, Dwarf, Sunspear, Lightbringer, Kurzick, and Luxon), and there's 28 maxed titles for a cost of 290 or so plat for the 3 Skill Hunter titles plus the bonus of the Legendary Skill Hunter, (yes the Legendary Titles have been included in the 28 titles to reach this point).
This leaves 2 titles from the dreaded grind/purchase list with the 2 cheapest on average being the Drunkard and Party Animal titles for 1000 plat each on average if you buy all the items. You could also try Treasure Hunter, which if done right also raises the Lucky and Unlucky titles, and costs around 4800 plat or so for all 3 (and according to the upcoming changes Treasure Hunter and Wisdom will be made account wide /cheer). Depending on luck that might even get you the Wisdom Title too. Lucky/Unlucky can be done through the boardwalk games along with the Gamer title for around 2200 plat.
The other available titles being PvP based are up to you, I personally hate PvP and stay away (Bring on the flamers and trolls). Champion, Gladiator, Hero, Commander, & Zaishen all being account wide helps if you like play that way.
Also, my little list ignores Survivor and Legendary Defender of Ascalon. If you have them great, but what I posted here is the route I'm planning on taking myself to get to 30 maxed titles.
For the gold figures I used the information posted in the "Guide to Maxing Titles" article on the Guild Wars Official Wiki

With time and GW gold, it's very possible.

I got mine in like 3 months or so? Fairly casual PvEing in terms of hours played, but you just have to be efficient and not take forever doing (or redoing) zones.

You can defently achieve the title within a year or so I did it and i went inactive for a few months in between. The kurzick title is what really gets you. If you need advice you can contact me in game ign Ritualist Jason. Also it helps to have a guild to help you along with these titles or join a farming guild so u can get those money titles out of the way

I was never interested in titles till a couple months ago and I've finished 11 in that time with another 6 at last rank about to max within the next couple weeks.
It's not that hard to title up if you're ok with grind, the only thing that'll get you is the buyable titles if you started playing late and don't have much income. Then again ANet does our farming for us every month provided you have enough secondary accounts.
WTB GW2 title track "I Got Gwamm And Filled My Hall And All I Got Was This Stupid Title (1)"

It really doesnt take to long. Also working on it myself, just completed entire proph/fac/nf/eotn in normal mode (got all 3 protectors) along with survivor line.
Thats 4 titles already, and sunspear on castellan (nearly completed), r3 lightbringer, eotn ranks on 3-5 (norn on 2, brought the book to vanguard since their rep is hardest to grind).
Not to mention over half-way on wisdom, treasure, 20-30 ish total elite caps and im not even a month since creation. Play like 2-4 hours/day, not really much, so if you get yourself angry and dedicate yourself to it a few months for the full deal is possible.
Most important thing; dont focus on a single title.
Vanquish=explorer (if you clear the entire thing, might as well explore it), bring a few keys and you also build up treasure/wisdom, bring 2-3 cap sigs on every vanquish and skill hunter is done as well.
That way, you get vanquisher+explorer at the same time (8 titles, price of 3 since both legendaries are for free) and you'll be quite far into skill hunter/treasure/wisdom as well. This will eventually greatly reduce your time.
As for investment; get all required sigs of capture first (cheaper to complete then drunk/sweet/party and gives 4 titles to boot).
For titles to aim for;
Survivor/LDoA (really advice against the 2nd, over 400h investment..) -> 1
Legendary cartographer-> 4 (5)
Legendary guardian -> 7 (12)
Legendary vanquisher -> 4 (16)
Legendary skillhunter -> 4 (20)
EotN reps -> 4 (24)
Master of the North -> 1 (25)
Elona reps -> 2 (27)
Last 3 any combinatin of;
treasure/wisdom
drunk/sweet/party
Unlucky/lucky/kurz/luxon/zaishen/hero/glad/command/champion/gamer (all account wide)

Yes it's entirely possible, people have done it already, and people have done it in 6 months or less (depends on how good you are, ie: don't expect to do it in Divine record time.)

3-6 = a few... 3-6 million = a few million
don't be intimidated by big numbers.
1 = single
2 = couple
3-6 = a few
7-12 = a bunch
12 - 50 = a lot
50 - 100 = a whole lot
100 - 1,000 = a butt load
1,000 - 10,000 = a shiit load
10,000 - 1,000,000 = a fuxxing shiit load
But i did think he meant a few million ectos until i read it again.
The time it takes all depends on the amount of life you have.
Before i got a girlfriend i would play around 12-18 hours a day
Before i accidentally got my girl pregnant i used to play 8-12 hours a day
before my baby was born i used to play 4-8 hours a day
now that i have a baby i play 0-2 hours a day
I could make a bar graph illustrating how the increase of my life led to the decrease in my GW playing time.
Sol Deathgard
I'm at 26 atm, & if I really put forth the effort I could max 3 titles by new years, & max title # 30 by the end of February. So I'd say ya, it's possible, it just depends on how much effort you wanna put into it. Those that don't wanna work on it are gonna cry about it's impossible, those that wanna work on it either have done it already & are working on doing it on other chars, or have done it & are waiting for GW2.

Probably could if i give it my guess but are we forgetting something?....you don't need to grind these titles...you don't need them in gw2 ...
and ofcourse, you can obtain them afterwards aswell

My main is currently at 16 titles maxed, and I suppose it is very possible to reach 20, maybe 25 titles. The last rank though is unlikely because I don't ever farm, so maxing out the money titles will take a very long time (Sweet Tooth for example). I also don't enjoy HFFFing much, just do some AB whenever I feel like it, so getting higher than my Rank 6 Kurzick is very unlikely - still 10 Million faction to max the title out, lol!
Besides, I'm "wasting" too much time with PvP, where titles are pretty much impossible to max out (Gladiator, Hero, Zaishen being my fav ones).

people stop suggesting pvp titles he's saying within the year or two til the release of gw2 those titles cannot be reached within the time unless you are already progressed enough in those tracks. hardly anyone can say they are a maxable title unless anet decides to nerf the tracks.
wind fire and ice
It's possible,just need to have the cash to stay drunk while vanquishing/ect. and need to have the cash to be able to max sweet tooth/party animal.
If your devoted it should take 3-6 months depending on the time you can put in.

possible? yes
i wouldnt reccomend it unless you already dont have a whole lot going for ya as far as real life is concerned.
i think the average player doing titles every day would take about 6-8 months to get 27. the last 3 can be bought, and if you use the easiest ways to get cash during those 6-8 months you can get the 3-4 mil fairly easily. but in the end its honestly a massive waste of time unless its really what you want out of life

I work 50 to 60 hours a week, so my time is limited. I got 31 max titles in about 14 months. I did the kurzick fff in place of survivor. Also helped with the money to get sweets. But it is doable. I did learn one thing though from my experience in title grinding. The next MMO I play, either GW2 or SWOR, I will not title grind again. It made me start to really hate the game. Not the games fault but mine for getting the GWAMM title.
karen the healer
Oh one more thing I might add is if its possible always take advantage of the weekend events they do to work on titles for often you get double rewards on those events.
