Have you ever made a character *just* to have an armor set?

Made a female rit for Ancient, female sin for exotic, male mesmer for luxon, and male ele for Ancient. Only the rit remains, not that I play her anyway.

made a warrior over a year ago to get the templar set, then deleted the warrior since i didn't like how he looked (as in, hair style, body size, hair color, etc), rerolled it, found no motivation to do the entire game again (i finished all 3 games sans eotn on him)

so decided to roll a ranger instead for the ancient armor or one of the eotn armor (the ones that look like trenchcoats), but is now instead kept in pre because i decided to do some char hunting instead.

then i found the leveling to be too much, so now i'm just back to my assassin main and chillin around in GH.

I hesitated between assassin and mesmer, but I chose assassin because a mesmer would cost me too much (so many armors to buy).

Made a female Ranger just for 15k druids. Course she got deleted and it got salvaged. I've salvaged about 7 15k sets so far, all but one of which have been re-bought. (Funnily enough i'm making a female ranger just for this armor again.) :/

Yup, did it to get Vabbian for my Derv & Ancient for my Rit. Derv is now a mule .
Want to get Elite Cantan for my mesmer and maybe Elite Exotic for a sin if I get another char slot. Kinda to lazy to beat factions again cuz its my least favorite :/

Well...I did buy Elite Glad on my war that was lvl 6..then I dlted it a few days later.

No. I've made characters then gone after specific armors, but never made a character just for the armor.

One day I thought "I really really want mes FoW" (female). But I had no mes, since usually the class and I don't get along.

Anywho, I rolled up a mes, got it ascended, took it to FoW. It went on to get Leg. Survivor and now she sticks around for playing with every now and then o_O;

Yes I have, on two occasions.

1) Made a female Ranger, just to give her Elite Druids Armor from Grotto, dyed white. I remember she was lvl 1 wearing that armor standing around GH scratching my head wondering what to do with her.

2) Made a female warrior, just to get her 15k Gladiator Armor. I've loved that set since I saw it the first time, just had to have it. Leveled her to 20 because I felt guilty spending that much money without using the char...then ended up making her my HFFF runner and leg. survivor. Cant stand playing warriors otherwise.

Made a necro simply for using curses magic in PvP, and for my 15k necrotic armor

I suppose the answer is yes. I made a male mesmer took it to lvl 20, then eotn was released and decided I wanted fem asuran so I deleted the male mes and remade a female. However, i got bored before reaching asuran lands so i deleted her and never remade. Does this count?

Yup, Ritualist Vabbian armor, made the character just to get the armor set when I already had another ritualist anyways.

The character was neglected for 1 year after that until it was given FoW armor and a decent build to use in AB matches.

The old ritualist is now permanently retired to being storage.

I made a ritualist mainly to get ancient armor, but I never ended up buying it. I hardly ever play him, so I don't think it's really worth buying. Also, I had an elementalist because I liked ancient armor.

Making a dark-haired Assassin for fow+chaos gloves+blindfold next,should be afew weeks before i get the motivation to work on it.

Had male monk with FoW, Wanted female monk FoW so I did that. Wanted female Sin FoW made that happened.

My necro, I had always enjoyed playing them in pvp, and I had always loved female necro fow, soo I decided to make a pve one and get her fow. Sooo glad I did too.

Yes my female ele. I already had a male ele, all my other chars are female, so I wanted a female ele too. My male ele is my primary (titles etc) though, so it's him and his harem for me .

i made a monk cause i wanted the labrinthine armor...female lol...and i wanted a monk too....no wi just look at her on the log in screen and think "man i suck at monk i should either play more to get better (meh) or delete her, but oh the purty armor" lol
