What is each class good for?

most builds are pitiful in PvE in general, but please tell us, what is your godly PBAoE build?
lol... now i would really suck if i didnt change my build depending on where i am. what i am trying to get across is that most people do not account for these, while sins and warriors might hit harder, i wouldnt want anything other than my AoB for h/h vanqs, gather aggro and hit eternal aura, AoHM, plus another aoe spell for +200 AoE damage. and IAS is easy to keep up with flail or HoF(eternal aura) depending on if i bring SY.

Quote: I bet it has [eternal aura] and [aura of holy might] in it, thats already 150 PBAoE holy damage.

[arcane [email protected]][aura of holy [email protected]][eternal aura][balthazars [email protected]][zealous [email protected]][heart of holy [email protected]][mirage [email protected]][mystic [email protected]] = LOL

lol riight...AoB is aweful...+40 armor, constant 33% IMS, and holy damage who would want that?! this elite covers 3 things every derv should have in PvE. all you really need is an IAS skill and the rest of the build canbe set aside for damage. and if u didnt notice i said i use it for H/Hvanqs, i just bring a IV n/rt healer and healer hench with me screaming SY. ofc in hex heavy areas=AoD and condition heavy=AoM and for BIG damage=AoL but i find AoB to be the most well rounded avatar because of the reasons above added protection, constant speed boost, and holy damage

This wins HM with H/H. For the 8th skill use FGJ or use any other of your choice with an orders hero.
To the OP: Play whatever suits you. Although I also say that [wounding strike] > [avatar of balthazar] because of the following:

- You already have Holy damage with [aura of holy might].
- [Great Dwarf Armor] > [avatar of balthazar] IMO.
- You need [eternal aura] for [avatar of balthazar], wasting a slot for a more useful skill.

As I said, if it's your play-style then go for it. Many people will disagree with [zealous vow], but it's my play-style and it works for me. Chill out, it's PvE... anything works there (or most of it ).

Don't try to insunuate that zealous vow is better than wounding strike. 5e, covered deep wound on a short recharge is much better than using your elite for unessicary energy managment. just bring a zealous scythe

Why do people keep bringing up "covered" like it matters in PvE?

EDIT: still, CritScythe over that.

Mo - Healing and Protection, obviously. Can also go Smite to greatly boost melee damage. It turns every melee into Assassin, as far as damage goes. And it turns Assassins into complete killing machines. Strength of Honor, Critical Agility, and Locust's Fury. Toss in a N or Rt for some more insane melee damage support that makes your head explode. @_@

W - If needed, a full on tanking to try to hold aggro. If not needed, some ability to hold aggro or soak up enough attention and damage from casters while dealing good consistent single target DPS.

D - Kind of like a W but with less defensive measures in some places (where having enchants can hurt), but more defensive measures in other places. Good consistent damage for both single target DPS and AOE. Deep Wound spam also helps.

N - MM to help soak up attention and damage from casters. MM's also deal good damage in HM. Can always go with Curse to help boost physical damage or hamper enemy physical damage. SS is very good damage in most situations. Insane damage in some situations.

Me - In Domination, spamming the crap out of Empathy gives very good damage. Also some interrupts and shutdowns against casters that are helpful. Illusion gives good damage against attackers and has the ability to hamper physical attackers. I really like Clumsiness, Signet of Clumsiness, Wandering Eye, and Mantra of Inscriptions combo tossed in with some direct damage support.

E - OK AOE damage combined with good to very good support skills. Their support skills become more important in hard mode. Skills like Ward Against Melee and Meteor Shower are very helpful. Can also go Ether Renewal for even more support spam.

P - King of support with PVE skills thrown in. Can help out with some OK single target DPS combined with excellent support.

A - Kill, kill, kill! Some nice AOE support with Death Blossom, but really... A's deal excellent, consistent, and direct single target DPS.

Rt - Can heal very well and has some good support skills, defensively. Also has some very nice offensive skills to boost physical damage. Offensive spirits deal very good damage (on par with Assassin)... only problem is that you can't focus fire all your spirits on a specific target you want.

R - Good single target DPS or AOE damage with some support skills such as interruptions, crippling enemies, or blinding enemies.

I personally love all professions. Really, all professions are very good and brings something to the group that other professions cannot bring. Some people keep saying that some professions aren't as needed or aren't as useful. I strongly disagree. Whatever profession I bring, it's as powerful as any other profession some other people claim is more powerful. The only thing that really matters is team synergy. If you know how to create powerful team builds, every profession is as dangerous as any other.
The PBAoE skills on a Dervish are pitiful. When the strength of a Dervs' damage comes from autoattacking and their attack skills which is their biggest strength. Tell me, what Wounding Strike bars are you looking at, because it looks like you've seen Derv bars with 7 attack skills and a res. PBAoE skills are also largely armour based, except for the very few. i look at the WS builds on wiki and those happen to be the same ones i see people use in-game with a few PVE skills thrown in.. probably the same one you use. its HORRIBLE because its a weak critical scythe sin. plus there is rarely a need to spam DW in PvE. Im just picking on WS
