Good morning everyone..
I have a confession to make.
I LOVE the new summoning stones introduced into the game.
It all started with the Gaki stone, the reward at the Urgoz end chest......
Then it was the wolf, and the ooz, the juggernaut (boogerman) then the turtle.....
They are amazing!
Anyone else enjoying this new 'summoned hero'?
(My wonderful guildmates have been feeding my addiction...gotta love those guys!)

I think they're very nice additions. Better than the Asura summoning skills. It's like a fighting minipet or a monster pet

I think it's nice they added stuff like this. that's about it though, nice. :P
I'd rather get some extra storage for dye/armor/tomes/books/minpets...

I agree they are wonderful. Get in a sticky situation and just pop one out - instant save. I have to admit they are a big help in vanquishing.

I am saving up char hides for the fur needed for the wolf one. Then of course, I have all those Golem ones from the MOX rewards (8 characters worth). I think I would like to get a Jadeite stone, nothing like a Kurzick having a siege turtle helping out for a change.

The single use is why I haven't tried them yet. Paying a few platinum for something that lasts 30mins or till it dies isn't value for money in my opinion

They are very durable and as far as I have seen have no trouble surviving their 30 minutes even in HM in vicinity of ele bosses.

Gaki is fairly powerful healer netting lots of utility (prots, condition removals, heals, spirit to trigger stuff from spirits ... etc etc). He can keep party in NM alive as sole healer. Raptor can solo Shiro. Raptor can freaking solo Shiro.

Definitely worth money regardless whether you have them because they are cute or because you are consumable junkie.

O yes!
I forgot to mention the raptor!
I slap GDW on him, or splinter in a mob..and wow....just wow.
(Especially when vanquishing an area with alot of other raptors for it to demolish!)

Demonic summoning stone is sick.
Although they should make it so they have infinite uses and you just have to wait for it to recharge.

I like the idea of a disposable army as well. I've been wanting to do a team build for a while with asura summons, ebon vanguard assassins, and now these guys.

Here's a question, can you only have one for a party of 8, or can each person in the team summon one?

Summons Oni-
For 30Min this is an ally of your party, upon death or time run out this stone is useless for 120min.

>.>
That would kinda suck, but thats the only way I see it working like that.
Theses stones are too easy to abuse as it is, and jade prices should reflect that soon.

Sweet revenge is...sweet

Its a pity the summons die too easily. My heroes tend not to heal them, I hate my summon getting killed at the first mob I encounter.

Hmmm. might just want to get one of each of them, for collector's sake.

Gotta catch 'em all.

I also love them.

The vanquishes that are huge (300-400 mobs worth, or multi map trails like droknar -> beacons for vanquish) benefit from having that additional party member as it really cuts down the time. 1 more target for mobs to spread damage for easier healing and less deaths. More damage output that doesnt require a skill slot.
Also, less deaths (since mobs drop faster) cuts the consumables, and less time needed can also make the difference between needing 1 or 2 consumables. Sure, small maps its a waste, but on those mentioned above you really dont want to be stuck on 56% dp at the final group because you were being cheap.

Almost forgot; you can still have an asura summoner nd the ebon vanguard assassin along with this. This allows you to almost double your party's size, which can make all the difference in a bad pull/overagro or situations you just cant seem to overcome.

The only thing I like about them is the ability to summon an Oni - others don't interest me. And other than that cool reasoning, they suck in anything HM and if you need help in NM, well then...

Hey Mallyx [icU]

Having a Siege Turtle minipet and a Summoned Siege Turtle walking along beside me is epic.

Now all I need is an everlasting Siege Turtle tonic, build to scale, which can be used in Explorable areas...I'd give every last ecto and plat I have for it!

The Oni one stuck out to me too, and made me once again wish that I could replace the vangaurd assassin with an Oni as well.

The one that rather pissed me off was that Juggernaut one, the turtle got some nice ranger skills in addition to it's monster skills, why no love for the Juggernaut?

yes Single use is not that great. I would rather it cost 100K or more to get one from the trader. That way they mean something and would never loose their value. I you want to put a gold sink in this is your chance Anet.

I for one.. with almost no gold left cause I and a gildie are going for Unlucky title would gladly pay good gold for one that stuck around like the one that lasts until lvl 20 - the fire imp I think.

Now that would be impressive. oh and one use every 60 minutes and it lasts for 30 minutes.

What are the odds that Everlasting versions of these Summoning Stones will pop up? They will work the same as the Imp stone, or the other stones, just at whatever level, for as many uses as you'd like.

These things hardly make the game easier. Having one of them isn't going to make a bad team be able to do something. If you can't do it without one, chances are you can't do one with one.

We have a winner. Don't be too ticked there isn't perminant versions of these things. I think one day there will be.
