How about a low ranked HA weekend

While the double fame weekends are nice, how about a weekend of HA where you can only get fame and chest drops if you were rank 3 or less or were the leader of the party (ie the guy who's teaching the lowbies how to HA)? Something to encourage newer people to try out HA but still allow higher ranked people to play if they want to play for fun only.

unranked people will have plenty of opportunities to battle it out with other uncoordinated rspikes, ventless spiritways and randomways until they meet a halfway decent team

ill sign for this if we can have a weekend where all pvp rank8+ can talk to Forgemaster and get armor for free.

Unranked groups get formed all the time, and can win. Even more so on double weekend. Why should anet just give you the fame that others won?

Also, if this happens, expect a group of r12 players sitting in HoH on their second/third accounts straight from rank 0 to 6+

Also it just sets them up badly. You learn from playing better people, if you vs lowbies all weekend you are going to think your tough shit. After the weekend you will be wondering why you got owned.

I agree about making HA friendlier but this isn't the way. I also don't think it's going to happen.

Imo, stop investing time in a "dead" format. Instead give the few of us old-schoolers left some fun, and revert it back to old-school holding.

For all I care, they'd remove rank all together. PvE'ers should stop caring about the emote, and realize the reason why they don't have it, is because they are either lazy, and/or bad.

But the thing is now that it doesn't matter what's going on w/ you, if you got a <R5, people will be like....gtfo. And not everyone is gonna waste anywhere from 2-4+ hours on GW everyday(almost). So HA has gone from the causal to the more eliteist, where the high ranks play and the low ranks, well, they gtfo.

Yea, you can't really expect to go far in HA unless you already have a high rank.

All I'm saying is that the RankWay pretty much became a HA filter, high ranked people play, while the low rank simply leave, not necessary because they suck, but merely because they didn't get the rank needed to be considered "good". And these who hold halls for consecutive times really doesn't have a life imo.(you need to be on at least 2 hours playing, not waiting time, not anything else, but 2 hours at least of pure HA time)

Arne, calling it a terrible idea and not saying why or offer an alternative isn't much help. You could say something like, maybe it'd be better if we had a double faction for low ranked people weekend.

I agree to a degree, if you are just starting out in HA the time it takes to find a good team would be tacked on to that. However, I don't see too much you can do about that short of either removing a few maps for a weekend, imposing a 5 minute time limit on all of them, and shortening the legnth of HoH maps.

Seriously, if you guys didn't cry all day and want everything spoon-fed to you, you'd be able to get it. I was unranked when everyone and their moms were looking for r9+ groups, and still managed to get rank. Why? Because I don't bitch and whine about being rejected from the higher ranked groups. I find my way around it.

Sure thing holy, I'm sure everyone can find their way around things in HA, somehow everything will work out.

But I think HA became pointless after the advent of Z-chest, I was in mainly just the for chest, the title was IDK.

Masamune, if you wanted to encourage people into high end PvP (HA and GvG) how would you do so besides double weekends?

GW was supposed to revolve around PvP but that idea got thrown out of the window by NF.

I like HA, but with a fammily to take care of and a busy job, I just dont have
the time to get dedicated with playing HA, a shame couse it is a nice thing.

Maybe there can be a possabillity to make a server for low ranked people, with the same reward system, and when ever they reach rank 6, they
automaticly are redirected to the servers from rank 6 to max.
