Um, first of all, I specifically said, "whether it was her fault or not I can't say." If it was her idea to be so enthusiastic about telling us all the wonderful things ANet will do in 2008, it was her fault that all this hype got drummed up on empty promises, regardless of whether or not she's still the CRM. If she was told to say that, then it was her manager's fault. Either way, if they were not sure that they would not be able to do all those things, they shouldn't have said them. Did you read the link? She was practically
gushing over all the stuff she claimed they'd be giving us in 2008, yet we haven't even gotten any new concept art. This is why I said that they over-promised and under-delivered, when they should aim to under-promise and over-deliver.
I'm not demanding that they be clairvoyant whenever they talk about the future, but the difference between their statements in December 2007 (GW2 contests throughout 2008, beta sometime in late 2008) and the actual state of affairs in November 2008 (not even a single screen shot, concept art, or piece of information we didn't already know has been released in the past year) is absurd, and cannot be simply chalked up to, "Well, delays happen."

You all realize that multiple whine threads isn't going to make the Dev team work faster, right? They work to the pace called "doing once, do it right".

We aren't asking for them to work faster. Christ, we're not asking for anything that they don't (or shouldn't) already have done: concept art, some kind of feature list, anything like that. Those are basic planning steps that should already be available for release; they wouldn't have to work any faster to get them to us, just hand them over to Regina for distribution.
