this is really awesome, thank you very much for you generosity!
Wowzers, my first character was made ON release day, i was in the betas for a short time right before release too. and the first thing to be made HAD to be a ranger, i mean she has a bow....nuff sed. then im lvl 2 and leaving pre, my friend is all wtfz on me cuz he is lvl 7 and wants to finish all the quests. but as soon as i could i was leaving pre, a r/mo named Lil Is Famished, and all this time later, she is still kickin like the old bitty she has come to be. she has been through every campaign on normal and hard mode, explored the entire world to 100% has become a savior to 2 warring factions, has EVERY single skill stored in her old woman's mind, had a SINISTER sweet tooth that caused her to go bankrupt, is affiliated with many other factions to the highest degree, and has seen her fare share of treasure chests. She may wear her god walking amongst mere mortals with her head held high, but she has also become known as the intrepid CAT LADY where as ALL of my minipets collected over the years have gone to her, and some she couldnt help but rescue from the pound. with over 3 thousand hours played on her she is indeed my first and favorite character, but her younger sister (oddly named) Lil Is Parched is gaining fame with her friends and infamy with her enemies, previously a mo/me (after getting her tiger) she raises hell (or stops it?) in the alliance battles as a mo/a.

i'll most likely never stop playing this game, i had a long break once and i think it was exactly what i needed, the drive to max out titles and get the best gear possible for my characters keeps me playing, not to mention the community is quite comforting.

Again, thank you for your give away and good luck to every one, happy holidays!

Well, my first character and, proudly, still the main character, is known as The Brazilian, a fearless warrior. I gave him that name because I wanted a name wich could be recognizable for all players, including people from my country, since I didn't know any brazilian GW players. The name is also a reference for Maximus' nickname in Gladiator movie (portrayed by Russell Crowe), and I couldn't be happier with that name.

De facto the bravest of the brave, The Brazilian served Ascalon with distinction, acomplishing all the quests avaiable and reached level 16 (the whole death leveling stuff was still unknown, probably wouldn't do it even if it was acknowledged). Before the Searing, Ascalon was a very nice place to live and admire. Countless minutes were spent just looking to the overwhelming scenario.

After witnessed the Searing and realizing there was no turning back from that point, he started his campaign in a very perfeccionist way, fulfilling the Flameseeker Prophecies, and entitling him as the Protector of Tyria, somehow a reason to be proud.

The evolution is undeniable. From a legitimate W/Mo "Wammo", using Mending and Vigorous Spirit (it actually makes sense for a beginner), to an awesome "Godmode" skillbar, this brave warrior needs a sword that won't break with the constant usage of Dragon Slash, a constant problem for him, wich would be solved with the Eternal Blade. But, unfortunately, though braveness is a constant characteristic, extreme wealthiness is not.

After spending way more than one year without knowing other places, finally Eye of the North was avaiable. And there he was entitled Master of the North, after completing every single Dungeon in both NM and HM... no easy task. More recently, both Cantha and Elona were saved. Balthazar must be proud. As a true son of Balthazar, he makes a very adequate wielder of the Eternal Blade. It is bound to be wield by a true son of Balthazar, it has to fulfill its destiny.

I was personally about to leave Guild Wars since I had to travel to another city, but two weeks ago I received a mail wich made me very happy, since I won't have to leave my city (hometown) nor Guild Wars anymore. So, I started buying stuff from GW In-Game store like crazy.

I wish everyone good luck, a merry christmas, and a happy new year (just like that jingle )

Take a look on him, check out how you can see his urge for that sword by looking to his eyes. He's a little proud, so he tries to hide it, but it's undeniable.

Spider Osiris.. My first character and still my main! I remember watching a friend play guild wars for hours on end until i though i must have this game! The first proffesion for me was naturally going to be a necromancer. I would spend ages clearing out the catacombs in pre-searing loving everything about the game and the proffesion. After a couple of weeks i found the mission to go to post-searing and was dumn-founded, the game was a lot bigger than i thought. So my character then went on to fulfill the flameseeker prophecies, save cantha from shiro, prevent nightfall in elona and destroy the great destroyer...
Another little story.. in the times of minataur farming i remember 55'ing elona reach with Spider Osiris and after getting a coupla plat. travelling to cavalon buying luxon keys and raising my treasure hunter title key-by-key.. i could do that for hours..
Though Spider Osiris' luck with loot has sadly been dire for the last 3 years, and it would be nice for him to have something to be proud to wield before his 3rd birthday in January
Many thanks (:
Good luck everyone!
And just for laughs some nostalgic Screens:

My build up to level 20 xD:

And when he finally though he'd had some luck, it wasn't inscribable -_-:

Guilds are irrelevant. This... is...... BUILD WARS!!!

My first Guild Wars character... a male Prophecies Elementalist. I believe I am one of the few people that have not kept their original character, I choice which I somewhat regret. Also, my first character was not as much as a memorable time, as with most people, but more of a sob story, and in some peoples' opinions, a comedy.

First, I suppose I should give you a little background story about when I started playing Guild Wars. I had heard about the game from my friend, and he let me try out the game on his account. I instantly fell in love with the game. Later, I told my mom that I reeaaallly wanted to get this game, but she said no, because apparently I "play too much video games". A few days later, she left town for a few days to go on a cruise. Naturally, I thought of this as an excellent opportunity. I rode my bike 3 miles to the nearest Best Buy, and bought the game. When I got home, I installed the game, I spent 1 1/2 hours staring at the title screen, mesmerized by the fascinating music (I am a HUGE Jeremy Soule fan). What happened when my mom found out that I had bought the game while she was away... well, that's not important.

Anyways, back to my character. I spent a while trying to decide between an Elementalist and a Ranger, and eventually decided to try and Elementalist. I made my character, got a feel for the game, then... I realized something. I looked at the map, and thought "Holy applesauce, this map is tiny!" (I later realized that Pre-Searing is only a small fraction of the game). Eventaully, I decided to take a risk, and do the quest in which Sir Tydus said that there was "no turning back" (Ascalon Academy mission). After I finished the quest, to my dismay, I found myself in a whole new world. I was horrified that I had lost this the amazing and beautiful world that I now know is Pre-Searing. I thought that I had messed up in the quest I had just done, so I thought I would look around to see if there was a way to re-do the quest. While I was training, I decided that I needed some new armor. I found an armorer in Ascalon City, and bought some armor. After I had bought the armor (which at the time, seemed like it cost a TON of money), I realized there was another armorer in Ascalon City that sold more protective armor. I instanly sold my armor, not realizing that it would not give me enough money to buy new armor, and leaving me half-naked. I then decided it was time to delete my Elemtantalist, thinking he was bad luck, and made a Ranger, which I fell in love with, and still have to this day. Nowadays, many people consider my Ranger to be my true first character, but this is the legitimate (and tragic) story of my real first character.

Anyways, my first Guild Wars character left the Guild Wars world just like I, myself, was brought into this world - confused, naked, and crying. Multiple times since then, I have tried making an Elementalist, but have never enjoyed it as much as I have that fateful day.

Now, the story of my first ever PvP Character.
After I had made my first PvE character, deleted him, and made a new one, I decided to try making a PvP character. I made a Warrior/Necromancer. I used a build with hammer attacks and minion skills, but no defense. I was bragging to my friend about how awesome it was that I could "kill people with my hammer, then make a minion out of them!" Later, I realized three things.
1. It was my teamates that were doing the killing.
2. You do much more damage with weapons if you actually put attributes into that mastery.
3. Warriors don't have have enough energy to cast Animate Bone Fiend.

Well, sorry for the extremely lengthy reply, but I thought some people would enjoy reading about my misadventures in the Land of Guild Wars.

Good luck to all, and Happy Winterday / Christmas / Kwanzaa / Hannukah / Other Religion Holidays / Non-Religious Holidays.

My first Guild Wars character was a male prophecies warrior, but I deleted it after getting to level 3 because I "wanted to freeze things and use ice magic" with an elementalist.

About 42 months ago (wow) my friend had gotten me to buy this game, and quickly i caught on and was addicted. Just as many others... my first character was a warrior, Rahl The Outlaw. Quickly i surpassed my friend and started to play along the story with him and his brother. It was a great journey, and now my warrior has thousands and thousands of hours played and is still one of my favourite characters. You are a very kind person to think of others in this virtual world as well as your real life, and I thank you no matter what.

Happy Holidays.

My very first character....hrm.

Way back in the good old days of brand new players, easily-made pugs, and when 100g was a decent amount of money to have I made my Warrior by the name of Stephen Hammerfist. Contrary to his name, he wasn't much of a hammer user...he preferred the sword or the axe. After days of mending wammo-ing through prophecies he finally made his way to Droknar's Forge where he got his first set of max armor, the obligatory Platemail pig-armor. Soon after that he discovered farming of the white mantle knights in Riverside province and the tengu outside Sanctum Cay, where he amassed many runes and materials. Alas, as I got more involved in my elementalist, I got bored of my warrior and decided to reroll him to necromancer...when he still had two stacks of steel, a perfect r10 magmas shield that dropped for him in Perdition Rock, and various other valuables in his inventory. All went to waste. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Merry Wintersday!

Hey,

Despite of all the finest stories about first characters, I have a good reason why you should give it to me. It's because in the past I lost an Eternal Blade req9 .

My first character is over 3 years old, and has been my main ever since i started playing. I remember usign my ranger Mat Cauthorn through pre, moving through Tyria, and then on through the following expansions. There are two things that I've always remembered about him when I think of his beginning, The first is that his first dye drop was black. Not know it;s value at the time, I put it on the mask of his starter armor. This was way back in 2005. Oops. Another story of his early days was how he entered Kryta. A friend and I decided one day to go exploring through the Iron Horse Mine, and ended up fighting all the way around to Lion Arch. We didn't even know the Frost Gate and Borlis Pass Missions were there until I went back and started running around there again, well after we were level 20 and had completed the Abbadon's Mouth mission.

I Actually think this is kind of Cool! Well lets see i started playing about 38 months ago. My first Characters name was Dr Hammer(Corny Right) Lol. Well lets see. I started off bein a w/me and i was amazed with degen of conjure phantasm and i just killed things in preseering for about 2 weeks til i was lvl 8 or so. I have no idea what quests were until someday i saw someone saying doing this quest and i whispered him and i was like wtf is a quest? After learning this I did a couple of quests and found my self lost in the catacombs. Literally i had no idea about the mini map and got completely lost in the catacombs trying to do that quest for the long swords. And before i left i actually decided to ochange my secondary to monk because i kept dieing and i wanted some healing spells. Mending seemed to be Pretty pro. After finally learning how to seer my friend in Personal life decided to help me out and he ran me from ascalon to droks and bought me some armor. I THOUGHT IT WAS SO COOL! i spent several days just killing things and sitting in the areanas in ascalon at lvl 8 and taking 0 dmg because of my armor. After that i thought wow what is the point of this game and to my amazement someone told me about the mission and the story lines and i was instantly hooked. Not nkowing much about the mission i failed many times. For example in the first mission i decided that taking on the 30 charr that chase you might be cool but yeah that didnt work out well. Running some mending build with no healing breeze i did the whole campaign mission and mission until i got to about sanctum. With no sleep and about 48 hours of peer gaming lol. I got stuck there beacuse i couldnt do it with henchies. I was almost lvl 19. STuck there i saw someone running the misison and i was like he probably cant but whatever but too my amazement he made it. I just kept following the quests and finally found myself lvl 20 ascended and bored about. One day i got bored and decided to start killing things outside of droks. After i killed a couple i went holy shit they actually drop max things. So for a few months ther ei spent days just killing things and picking up the max dmg weapons and selling them to new players in ascalon for around 200-1000g each. I made aboutt 17k and i thought i was the richest player in the world. Haha Thats the end

Pm on guru if i have a chance.
Happy holidays.

The name Sir Primus is composed from a chivalric title, sir, which have passed to him from his father, a son to one of the lower branches of the royal family in Ascalon.
His father's wife was the last sibling from a lord's dynasty in Kryta. When the rest of her family died in a series of mysterious deaths after speaking against the white mantles, she was taken by Sir Primus's father.
They couldn’t be together before because of political reasons. Her house was known for a legend about a son of a primeval king who came to Tyria long ago, and founded this house, which bring us to the second part of the name is the nickname Primus for the primeval prince.
Before the pre-searing, Primus tried to get into Ascalon guard. His father died during the searing, and most of his estate was destroyed.
Sir Primus went to fight the charrs to revenge his father's death, and two years and ascension later he found himself killing the lich lord and freeing Tyria from the Mursaat.
During a short period after the lich's demise, he banished the remains of the titans, fought the stone-summits, defeated the darkness that infested the tomb of the primeval kings, killed many soldiers of the Menzies in the service of Balthazar, aided Grenth to regain control in some parts in the underworld, and married a young ranger known as Leona of Denravi, a famous champion of the shining blade, who accompanied him during his journey to fight off the white mantles and later on the lich lord.
Afterwards he traveled to Cantha with his wife and Mhenlo, and killed Shiro in the following year. During the next two years, he made a huge fortune from the treasures of the dangerous depths of the jade sea, and rebuilt his father's estate in south Ascalon.
After this short two-year break, he was called again to save the world, this time to elona, the land of the golden sun. A long story short, he killed Abaddon, and gained the rank of a spearmarshal in the Sunspears order.
He was called shortly after to defend Kormir's rule from the arch-demon Mallyx. Co-operating with the agency of whispers and the Forgottens, he recruited heroes from all of Tyria to crusade into the depths of agony and take out Mallyx and his minions.

The Last Pride [EvIL]

My first character, oh boy. Long time ago. I, as happy as a child who gets a dollar, ran to the game store to get myself Guild Wars. I installed, made an account and looked at everything. I was amazed. Of all the 6 professions, the warrior seemed to want me. I made a warrior, female, and thought of a cathing, powerful name. As new as I was, I thought a name with both "Death" and "Axe" was really powerful. Then my character was born; Deathaxe Raizer.

As soon as I logged on my warrior, I was happy. I saw people dancing in pre searing and it didn't take long until I joined them. It was fun, alot of people were offering me a guild and the first invite I recieved I accepted. The guild was welcoming, it felt good. I didn't want to go outside of Ascalon, scared I might die and didn't find the game fun anymore. Then someone in my guild asked me if I was up for some fun questing, an offer I couldn't resist because he was a nice guy. This was where my journey started

As soon as I started to learn things about the game, I grew my character to level 20. I played through the whole campaign of Prophecies, did every quest and in the end I managed to kill the evil Lich.

After this I went on in the new campaign, Factions. I was happy since it was something completely new. I figured out what was causing the plague and how to destroy tghe source. I did all quests again and in the end I even defeated Shiro with a Grenth's Balance build. I was amazed, I got a present after completing Factions! I, of course, took the Shiro's Sword, and it felt amazing. I was running Mending, as a "cure" for the vampiric effect on my sword. The sword made me feel good, it showed my strength. I bested Shiro, I could do everything.

Nightfall came out. I bought this campaign as well and again, I was amazed. The complete difference, the other skills, everything possible. I started to play, this time I didn't do all quests, I just didn't want to. I did the missions and it was fun. I got to know more of the Guild Wars Gods, I got to know about Abbadon, the God of Secrets. In the end I even defeated it. Again, I got a present. This time I just sold my Book Of Secrets because I know I wouldn't use the weapon as I ditched my Shiro's Sword already too.

about 3 and a half years ago my brother dragged me to best buy to see this game that i had never heard of. I had recently stopped playing runescape when he showed me this game guild wars. I only had $50 at the time (i was 12) so buying guild wars would be a major purchase for me. So i made him take me home and i watched all the guild wars trailers a 100 times before finally deciding to buy it. When i was creating my first character i decided on a warrior almost instantaneously, i made him as tall as possible (basically the opposite of me) but when i got to naming him i had a bit of trouble. I must have tried 5 times but all of the names i thought of had already been taken. just as i was getting frustrated my dog scratched on the door to go out, and a name came to me instantly, Beagle Warrior. my brother mocked me but i really didnt care. once i had a choice of secondary professions i automatically choose ranger so i could have a nice wolf pet. I got out of presearing as soon as possible so i could get farther then my brothers character. i was still a very low level so i had a lot of trouble in the early missions and quests so i did every side quest to try and level up. I never really focused on making money, so i got whatever decent weapon i could find, usually a hammer. As i progressed my build got better and i got much farther then my brother but he was still much richer than i was. Once i finished prophecies i did Fow and created a couple more characters until factions came out. I beat factions with beagle warrior and then i stopped playing guildwars for a little under a year. Just recently i bought nightfall and started playing again. I have not completed it yet and am only up to the early vabbi missions. I have recently been looking for a nice sword for my warrior but have not been able to afford any of the ones i like except the Ids. The other ones i have been looking for are an Oni Blade, glacial blade( which i cant get cause i didnt get eotn prerelease bonus pack), crystalline sword, eternal blade and an obsidian edge all of which are way out of my price range so winning this contest would be very helpful for me.
In the end buying guildwars was one of the best purchases i have ever made and has brought me countless hours of fun.

Thank you for reading my story and congratulations to whoever wins this generous giveaway

Hope you all have a merry Christmas (and a happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate)

My first and favorite character was my ranger, Bodvar Razerbeak. After all my friends finally talked me into getting GW about 5 months after it came out I went to install it and realised my computer was far too outdated to run it. After a week of running around and getting parts to upgrade it and finally install it I sat at the character creation screen and instantly chose a ranger class. I literally sat tehre for an hour thinking of a name, and after much debate loaded up an old copy of Heroes of Might and Magic V(I used to watch my dad play this game for hours on end when I was little, fascinated with all the crazy dragons and creatures running around) I hit random name on the character creation screen and Bodvar came up, I thought it was cool, then chose Razorbeak as the last name since it sounded tough and my last name is Hawkins, so I was keeping with the bird thing. About 30 seconds after I loaded into Ascalon I realized I had put an e instead of an o, but was so eager for adventure I let it go, later adopting the typo as my gamer tag in everything else. My ranger is my pride and joy, I dote on him and keep him looking sweet in his Elite Canthan armor and slick Tormented bow, which my best friend gave me as a birthday present before he moved away. Despite all the other characters I have I prefer to use my ranger for anything and everything with my guildies, even if it would be easier on another class. Over the last 3 1/2 years I've played through nearly everything in all of GW with good ol' Bodvar, but I continue to use him for all his nostalgic awesomeness and to remember all the crazy adventures I've been through with him.

My first character was Sparky The Dog(Still my main today)...
First made in January 11th, the first day I had Guild wars. I really was 100% noob, didn't know how to do anything. I joined a guild when I was in Ascalon City, and received no help. That's when I first learned it's hard to find a good guild that will be warm and welcoming. I ended up joining another guild after going through frost gate, etc. and met 3 good friends that I still talk to today in game. Anyways, I doubt you want to hear my whole story, but yes, my first char was a ranger, male!

Needless to say I went on to keep playing for over 2500 hours on one character, starting a guild, dis-owning that guild, joining an HA guild, then to a PvE guild of a friend's. Became Co-leader of 60 members and has happily been in that guild for more than 6 months.

That's all.

My first Guild Wars character was Ischuros Kaytes. He was a Necromancer / Ranger, which at the time I thought was pretty amazing because I would run around with my bow kill something then raise a minion...I was a nub in those days and to top it all off I would "lavish" him with armor from LA....until I could afford droks armor... I bought the scars and walked around basically naked. I thought Kaytes was basically awesome until I found out I could do better things with curses if I droped the bow...sad day. I unfortunately don't have him anymore...I gave that account to my brother but later got back into guild wars and had to start all over.....

ahh my first character was a warrior (sabel kraftlos) and i still have him today. This is the only game in my lifetime that i have stuck with for several years and its thanks to my warrior because of that. I remember when i first started off, heh, always challenging other warriors for 1v1 battles for fun and the first time i tried doing pvp and at level 12 lol when everyone was level 20 and i got seriously flamed for it. Oh and i can't forget all the hours farming for swords (especially the icy dragon sword that i never managed to get) and the added hours upon that trying to get 15k armor. Unfortunately my cousin got a virus on my computer and i had to stop playing for several months, but im back now, and excuse my french but im back and im ready to kick some.... well you know.

First off, this is the abbreviated version, but I still apologize for its' length:

Magnus Darthrone
was my first character. Records indicate that he was born sometime in 1002 AE. He was abandoned at the Ascalon Academy as a baby by what firsthand accounts called a gruff looking man. The man left the child's name with the instructors and was never seen again. Magnus was immediately taken care of by Elementalist Reft, one of the teachers at the Ascalon Academy. By the time Magnus had become eight years old, his prowess in the elemental arts had become evident to all of the instructors around him. As such, he was transferred to Nolani Academy to take advanced courses. Reft, being his only father-figure, successfully petitioned to begin teaching the same Elementalist courses at Nolani that Magnus would be taking.

In the Academy, Magnus befriended Sergot of Kryta. Sergot showed him a powerful skill called Meteor Shower. Magnus did not master this technique for many years. After graduating Nolani, Magnus joined the Flaming Scepter Mages of Ascalon. In the Mages, Magnus almost single-handedly halted an ambush of 30 Charr while on an expedition in the Northlands. He was given multiple commendations by King Adelburn and became the youngest Vice-Captain of a Flaming Scepter division ever. It was during this time he met his future bride, Nuit Nair, while eliminating a Devourer infestation of a her village. A couple years after the Guild Wars began, Magnus (then only 13) proposed to Nuit Nair and used his modest savings to begin the Darthrone clan. At first he only intended it to attract any family he had. But instead, it grew mostly from friends and kind strangers who wanted a place to call home. After the Darthrone clan had an established reputation, Magnus formally resigned from the Flaming Scepter Mages and organized the clan into a guild. He then led it in the Guild Wars, primarily against Orr, which he had a strong resentment against. The Darthrone Clan earned much esteem under its' talented young tactician and won many guild battles.

In 1038 AE Magnus and his team were ambushed by a band of assassins while treking back to Ascalon from a Guild War in Orr. Magnus was the only one targeted and killed in the ambush. It was believed to be the work of a rival Orrian guild which probably resented being beaten by a leader half their age and size. However, no one claimed responsibility and the perpetrators were never discovered. Magnus was survived by his wife, Nuit, and his then 10-year-old son, Shoyon Darthrone. After Magnus' death, Nuit acted as the leader of the clan. Many members resented being led by a woman, and either left or tried to usurp her authority. This, in conjunction with Nuit's lack of tactical knowledge on the battlefield, precipitated in the clan's guild fading from existence. However, Nuit was able to hold onto authority of the clan itself until Shoyon was old enough to lead. Magnus' unique story is just one of many that occurred in that day and age. Today, the Darthrone Clan is headed by Magnus' grandson, Wraith Darthrone. Although the clan has lost most of it's strength, it remains an influential place for friends and companions.

Yeah, I've been getting pretty nerdy during the holiday season and been working on my chars' geneology and family trees and such.

Anyways, Happy Holidays and Goodluck to all!

Aussie Trolling Crew - Spah!

My first character was a Warrior named B A R B - short for Barbarian. Similarly, I created the character based on the idea of the Barbarian class from Diablo 2. I've been told many times that B A R B actually looks like myself - maximum size, bald, and an angry face. XD

B A R B spent the first several months of his life exploring the Ascalonian area of Tyria, and slowly progressed through the campaign. During the time spent in Tyria, B A R B also experienced the top tiers of Guild Wars' player vs. player realm. B A R B battled alongside the Pink Flamingos to reach the top 16 of the first Guild Wars ladder.

AFTER the release of Guild Wars: Factions, B A R B conquered the Lich and restored balance to the universe. Upon the discovery of the Assassin and Ritualist class, B A R B resigned from serious competition, and then went on to align with the courageous Luxons, and has since earned the seventh Rank of the Luxon army through valiant efforts in the Alliance Battles.

B A R B continues to scour the depths of the Underworld in hopes of finding any sign of his past, which has been nothing more than a blur since The Searing.

<-----Lady Makato was my first character three years ago when I began. She has been through all three campaigns plus GWEN. My favorite armor for her is the Kurzick Elite, even though I am a Luxon! The bow of choise is the destroyer bow!!! My husband and father-in-law all started playing at the same time, and we still use our first characters as our main character! We completed everything together, and we all love Wintersday!!! Now of course I do have other characters, however their primary purpose is storage >.<

I made him 40 months ago or so /age says and he is has been played for 724/30 days. Warrior soon became my favorite class i loved raping charr with brute force + warriors are the ultime farming class (except not anymore). I've been through every mission in the game done just about everything there is to accomplish (except titles.. I'm workin on it!). He's been a good character and I must say I enjoyed pwning noobs in ascalon arena with my 15k Platemail armor at lvl 10 courtesy of my guild leader TY guild leader. And here ends the story of Warrior Of The Gae now a retired Statue of his guild hall

Okay here we go:

Now, this is a story all about how
My monk got flip-turned upside down
And I like to take a minute
So just sit right down
I'll tell you how I became the prince of Ashford Abbey town

In West Ascalon born and raised
On the battlefield is where I spent most of my days
Chillin out maxin, relaxin all cool
Smiting some Charr outside of school
When a couple of Charr
Who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one huge fight and my mom made a frown
She said you moving with your guild to Ashford Abbey town

I /begged and I /pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my Charr Bag and sent me on my way
She gave me a /kiss and gave me a platnium
So I could hire a runner preferably not a fat one.

I whistled for a runner and when it came near
She said it would be quick while i stared at her rear (Insert Hot Ranger)
If anything I thought that this runner was down
But I thought nah forget it Yo home to Ashford Abbey town

I ran up to Mhenlo at around 7 or 8
And I /yelled to the runner yo home /smell ya later
I bought my self some hunters ale and looked around
Was about to drink some so I sat my butt down
I was chatting with my guild that I couldn't wait to be found
So I could sit on my throne of Ashford abbey town

Seasons Greeting!

Hey, it's very nice of you to do this. I think some of the giveaways that some people on this forum are hosting are great. If I had much of anything to give away, I'd be glad to...but that's a different story.

My first character, is my main and favorite character, Dr Imperial . I recall playing as him in pre-searing roughly three years ago for the first time. He started off as a W/R, and I distinctly remember craving the best armor I could get. As soon as I got Ascalon City I bought the freshest Ascalon Armor...then at Yak's Bend, and then I recall how thrilled I was at getting my Wyvern Armor and staring at it for quite a bit. Then...eventually (after quite a few months) I got my 15k Platemail Armor, after running people from Druid's Overlook to The Wilds for days on end at about 100g per person. (Quite a pathetic way to make money) Total I've spent nearly 1500 hours on him, and I've enjoyed ever second. I've been happy to take the damage for the team and get right into the action and take out pesky casters. All in all, I prefer to use a sword, though I'm thinking about pulling out the hammer for some real wammo action!

Anyway, I hope you've all enjoyed my little snippet as much as I've had looking back into the good times of the Guild Wars past.

Madness Incarnate

[Duo]

Eragon Vodhr comes from a nearly forgotten land once known as Alagaesia. His true birth date has long since been forgotten, lost in the eternal passage of time. What is known of his past life is also relatively small, seeing as it has never been truly recorded by the scribes.

It is rumored that he was once a great Dragon Rider of Alagaesian legend. He governed over the land for centuries with his fellow dragon riders, bringing peace and justice to all. Unfortunately, all great and wondrous things tend to come to sad and disastrous endings. War broke out amongst the riders, wreaking havoc and chaos across the lands, during which time Eragon’s dragon was brutally slaughtered. Escaping with only his life, Eragon traveled across the great unknown sea to anywhere other than his destroyed homeland, happening upon the land of Tyria.

Upon his arrival, he was taken in by the small fishing village near which he beached his ship. After days of being nursed back to health and being healed by the village’s monk, Eragon become eternally grateful to them for not letting him perish on the beach. From that day forward, Eragon laid down his warrior ways and instincts to help all those in need. Because of the magical connection he once had with his dragon, Eragon was able to quickly learn the spells of the monks who graciously taught him the sacred art.

He eventually decided to travel the continent, becoming capable of performing healing miracles that astounded even the most accomplished of monks. Eragon continues to this day, never refusing to help those that are in need. From the small cuts of little children to the vicious wounds of fallen warriors, Eragon works endlessly to repay Tyria for its generosity to him. He never ceases to use his second chance at life for the betterment of his new nation.

The oddest thing is, as the years pass, Eragon never slows. He never ages, and he never grows tired of his sacred profession, gaining more renown and adulation every day that passes. The few that know of his distance past claim that his supposed immortality is a lingering effect of the connection he once had with his now deceased dragon. Many believe that he is an angel sent from Dwayna herself to help those less fortunate. It is even whispered amongst fanatics that Eragon is one of the great Gods; only choosing to walk amongst the mere mortals that he himself created.

My very first gw character would be an Ele. I just thought it was so cool that you could mess with the elements. I guess everyone has this thought in their head about how amazing it would be if magic were actually real. No matter what their age is, it's just still awesome to think about. So when i bought gw for my brother, and watched him play it and saw you could make an ele i asked him if i could occasionally play on it. He said yes lol, so i made my character and named her Luna Lynn . I actually didn't think i'd become so addicted, but the game itself turned out to be pretty fun. Not to mention the many true and good friends i've met along the way. I've been playing for close to three years now, and i have 3 very good friends. Two i've known since Luna's very first day in gw, and the other one from about a month later. They've helped me through a lot of stuff, so i owe a lot to miss Luna Lynn. Without creating her as my first character when i had, i'd never have met them. Really does bring joy to my life lol. So yeah... needless to say, my brother gave me the games

Well, my first gw char, that's an interesting tale that could span for hours up on hours of writing and sharing but i'll try and condense it . Well my warrior (Farmer Fez) Was created 40 months ago on August 17th, when I got a new computer and finally got the internet working after being on the phone with an indian rep for about 3 hours :*(, and i decided to name him something awkward and crazy so i decided on farmer fez. The farmer part was actually very random as to why I chose that I still don't know to this day, the fez part was because that 70's show was playing on the TV and it was the first thing I saw and said oh what the hell, might as well.

So anyway, there was farmer fez adventuring out in pre-searing ascalon hacking and slashing thinking I was the best until the world I knew got turned upside down and the searing happened. When I got to post-searing ascalon I was a penniless broke bastard that had an empty storage. But I sucked it up and said I would NEVER beg and I started doing the quests which eventually led me to my first mission, The Great Northern Wall. This fascinated me because there had never been any "missions" in pre-searing so i decided to push the enter mission button without a party and much to my dismay I was slaughtered by some devourers. It was not until I saw the henchmen that I decided to start partying up, and thus my unbreakable bond with henchies was born. They would be with me from one end of the world to another and help me complete simple tasks which needed to be completed on a day to day basis. So I eventually completed The great northern wall and ventured on through the ruins of morah (sp?) and Nolani Academy which is when I found myself in the shiverpeaks at Yaks Bend.

This was when I bought my first new armor prior to coming from pre-searing and when I joined a guild, my first guild, The Genies of Ali Baba. They where EXTREMELY helpful and it was the first time I actually started to understand guild wars and how it wasn't like a normal MMO game but it was a mix of multiplayer and singleplayer. Anyway, I fell in love with the Wyvern Armor I purchased from Yaks Bend and started pushing on in my adventures. I saw dwarves, centaurs, big ugly giants, and many other things that wanted to tear me in two but Alesia saved my ass on many many occasions. I also had acquired a 15-22 Sword from a guildy and a max shield which i thought was the best thing ever in the world because I was hitting 20-30 damage on things and I was only taking 10-20. So when I finally got to the mission in which Prince Rurick died I could not believe the hero I looked up to died and was gone forever so I took out an all out war against the dwarves which didn't end up well because I attacked the dwarves in the SOUTHERN shiverpeakes which where of much higher level and I was slaughtered yet again. One of the members of the guild I was in recently had acquired the knowledge of the Droks Run, which I had no idea which was accepted with open arms to be one of his test subjects to see if he could make it. He did, after about an hour of watching him die. It was still very enjoyable and we had laughs through it all. When we got there and I checked out the armor crafter I was amazed at the 80 armor but also but in despair by the price of the armor. This guildy was feeling quite generous at this time and decided to buy my own set of droks platemail! I was so excited that I actually looked like knight in shining armor and then I set off again in my quest to complete the game. So i slowly completed missions semi easily until Thunderhead Keep. That mission was the devil itself and I required the assistance of 7 others before I finally completed it and went to the ring of fire. I remember thinking when I killed the Lich wondering if there was more but there wasn't so I slowly stopped playing until something drew me back in, Factions.

When I got factions I was amazed at the level of detail put into the buildings of asian origin but was more excited to see all the new exciting skills and armors and professions. When my warrior arrived in kaineng center after a short walk from the marketplace, I was greeted by people saying that the afflicted where attacking and that I needed to do something. So being of noble heart like I am, I decided to help these people greatly underestimating the power of the afflicted I was smashed many times but still managed to get to the kurzick and luxon war. I first sided with the Luxon's following my guild but quickly understood that I needed to side with both to fully get the factions experience. Killing Shiro was an amazing feeling and it was much better than the lich. After that my unbreakable bond with Dunkoro was formed on the shores of Istan.

When I first journeyed to Istan I was greeted with the same plea for help as the citizens in Cantha did and I was happy to oblige to their needs with my trusty sidekicks that I could actually control! So my adventures took me through, Istan, Kourna, Vabbi, the Desolation, and the Realm of Torment. I acquired many new companions and banished many demons to eternal damnation and I even killed a god! Shortly after that tremors started happening all over the world meaning an invasion of a creature was coming that would mean the end for the world as we know it.

When I went to the far shiverpeaks I was greeted by a 6 foot woman named Jora that needed help but didn't want it. I still helped her and she showed me to a long lost friend, Gwen. I adventured through new lands in Tyria eventually killing the Great Destroyer and ending their reign but not at the loss of the dwarves who where driven mad by the fact they turned into stone.

So that's it, a "brief history" of my character. I know it's a bit long and I'm sorry for that but I would greatly appreciate it if you read the whole thing and not just skim through because I put some effort into it.

Cedrik Stormchaser was born in a small village in Kourna. His father, a farmer, taught him how to use a scythe when he was eight, so that he could help out in the fields. Life was pretty harsh at the time, because of the centaurs constantly attacking human villages, and Cedrik was forced to get his scythe mastery to a higher level, which lead him to take lessons from a former member of the Order of the Sunspears who had taken residence in the village a few years back.

Cedrik's training with his weapons master took a few years. At first hitting at practice target, he improved very quickly and ended up slaying the insects wandering around the fields. Eventually, he felt like the life of a farmer was not for him and decided to leave the village, to travel across the world and recruit brave souls to help him get rid of the vilains.

Before he left, he asked the old dervish about the order he used to be part of. The old dervish told him about Kormir, and the way of the Sunspears. Cedrik dreamed of being a hero, and thus he chose to travel to the island of Istan, in the southern part of Elona. Finding Kormir was quite easy, as everyone knew about her. He went to Kamadan, the Jewel of Istan, and applied to the Order of the Sunspears. Kormir herself went to find him, and told him he was one of them now, for he seemed to be a very courageous young man with the sense of justice.

He quickly raised among the ranks of the Order. Along with an old strategist, Dunkoro, he lead the assault on the fortress of Gandara, then fought all the way through Kourna, and hurt Varesh badly when he destroyed the Drought in the Mahnkelon Waterworks. Discovering the margonite threat, he went to Vabbi and fought against these mortal enemies. He discovered of another order, the Order of Whispers, who was also dedicated to destroy Abaddon. After joining its ranks, he traveled to the ruins of Morah, he beat Varesh, and was granted access to another dimension, the Realm of Torment.

Cedrik knew it would be over soon. He could feel the presence of his arch enemy, Abaddon, in this gloomy land. After reaching the Gate of Pain, he put to use his scythe mastery to release the tortured souls from the River of Souls, and thus free Dunkoro's son from Abaddon's grasp.

The desolate realm was beginning to make them mad, but Kormir was there to lighten up their heart, and remind them how important their mission was. Hence Cedrik went to the dreaded Gate of Madness, where he hoped he could get the god avatars to help him in his fight against Shiro, the Lich, and eventually Abaddon. With the help of a brave mesmer, Norgu, he managed to take down the two monsters who had changed the face of Tyria.

Finally came the time to face Abaddon himself. The battle was short but fierce, as there were many torment claws jutting from the ground, waiting for Cedrik and his allies to come too close to take them down with their powerful Torment Slash. There were also a few monoliths but those did not pose a threat for Cedrik and his destructive scythe. They resisted to the words of madness Abaddon kept whispering and managed to take him down after a dozen minutes. He then watches Kormir as she absorbs the power of the fallen god and becomes the Goddess of Truth.

After his victory upon Abaddon, Cedrik Stormchaser and his friends traveled to other continents, Tyria and Cantha, and even discovered secret tunnels beneath Istan, leading to an unexplored part of Tyria, the Far Shiverpeaks. I would love to tell you more, but that's another story !

The Green Branch [TGB]

W/Mo

My first ever Guild Wars character was a warrior named Captain Ghrakk. He is still my main character and my top priority. Anyway, this is my description and history of my first Guild Wars character.

Appearence:
His flesh, scarred and callussed from battles of the past,
His eyes set like obsidian stones in his weathered, riggid face,
His gaze can ignite a flare of fear in even the roughest of creatures,
His mouth a firm, unwavering line,
His body, a hulking mass of muscle,
Weathered, battle-torn Istan armor covors his huge body,
His tough hands grip the leather haft of his Murukai's Reaver, stained with blood and rigidly deformed,
He walks with a stride of power, his expression menacing,
He has slain beasts and dieties of unimaginable power, yet he never grumbles a gloat or brag,
The king of fury,
The prince of strength,
His name...Captain Ghrakk

History
Captain Ghrakk grew up in a small village on the eastern coast of Elona. He grew up durring the time of the Great Drought. His childhood was rough, he lived in a simple mud hut and had to scavenge for food in the dying forests. He grew up alone as an orphan, for his father died a victom of the Desert Plague, and his mother died when he was five years old. Due to the lack of experienced warriors in his village, Ghrakk taught himself in the ways of the warrior. Despite the harsh conditions of his youth, Ghrakk was strong and surprisingly independant and managed to survive the Great Drought, which finally ended when he was 6. The Drought had claimed many of the lives in his small village, untill finally Ghrakk was the only survivor. Ghrakk then trecked north (at the age of 7) untill after many days and nights he came to a small village by the name of Mossville. When Ghrakk arrived at the village, he was nearly dead from starvation and thirst, but an elder monk by the name of Sho Brightheart healed him and took Ghrakk under his wing. Ghrakk was very fond of Sho and thought of him not only as a mentor, but a father. Sho taught Ghrakk the ways of the monk, taking him out every afternoon to the small swamp on the outskirts of the village to heal injured birds and frogs. Numerous animals had taken refuge in Mossville, under the protection of the elder monks. Ghrakk was forced to flee the village when he was 9 when the village was invaded and destroyed by a fleet of Corsairs. He escaped to the west, where he came upon the grand kingdom of Vabbi. Ghrakk lived on the streets of the city, poor, hungry, and helpless, and was soon, like the other orphans of the city, drafted for the Vabbian Order. Ghrakk was a strong warrior, his expertice in healing and his surprising strength and endurance soon got him promoted to Captain within his first month of training. When Captain Ghrakk was 25, he left Vabbi with his few bellongings: His Murukai's Reaver and his General's suit of Istan armor. His adventures became known to the people of Elona after he had slain many great beasts and soon he was known and feared throughout all the land. By the time that he was thirty, the social world referred to him as "Captain Ghrakk the Furious". He still to this day can, on rare occassions, be spotted adventuring through the depths of Elona, his blood-stained axe clenched firmly in his hands.

Personality:
Captain Ghrakk is a strong, menacing warrior. His childhood greatly shaped his personality, giving him an intimidating presence. He does not remember the feeling of happyness or love. All he knows is pain and suffering. Captain Ghrakk quickly decided, after he had watched Mossville burn, that love and happyness was not a luxury, but a burden. He realized that he had left himself vulnerable by loving and by being enchanted with the luxury of joy. Captain Ghrakk does not pitty the poor or envy the rich. He does not hesitate to slay the helpless, as the pains of his childhood never once hesitated to reap him of luck. His gaze is cold and dark, unforgiving and hapless. Captain Ghrakk is considered by some to be a hero, while he is considered by others to be a beast. Captain Ghrakk walks his own road, unaffected by the thoughts of others.

Personal Quote:
"...You may call me heartless,
You may call me cruel,
But I call you coward..."(Signature phrase)
