Right, but some of us are not made of fail and recognize that the sounds communicate information.

Thread necromancy is bad, BTW.

Ive been playing without sound for 2 years. Turn of your sound = problem solved? If only world hunger was as easy to solve as that ehh?

A-Net already knows that this is a problem (refer to the previous thread where Gaile came to Kamadan and talked to some people about it) and as we've seen, A-Net is doing about as much as they are with bots and leechers in FA and JQ (Note: The FA and JQ thing is only a comparison, let's not change the subject of the thread).

So let's face it, this is going to be one of those things that will never get resolved. So what are the options:
-Turn off sound effects until you're outside the outpost and then click "Reset"
-Turn off all sound
-Change districts or maybe switch to a different town
-Try reporting the people for spamming (Maybe Gaile will come to that place and tell them to stop again). Yes, you can report someone in an outpost using the same method as you would in FA or JQ.

Any of these work.

I have a yeti, and I like it. I like that it sounds when I sip the tonic, but I dont use it to spamm and annoy.
I think the best solution would be to just make it have no sound when doing the sit emte.

Even better solution would be to have the tonic sounds play only on the tonic users computer only.

That way no-one else in the district is disturbed, and the idio^H^H^H^H tonic sound abuser can still feel they're doing something mildly amusing (to themselves).

And that is exactly my point, THEY can, and if the sounds are only played on thier own computer, it won't affect anyone else in the district at all.. and both sides are happy

And if you think this debate is bad over tonic sounds, just wait until the griefers get their teeth into GW 2, and it's not so instanced play areas.
