February's update

Whats with you people who want weapon spell removal skill's ?
Are you actually willing to waste a skill slot on this ? Did you ever lose a game where you actually though " if only I had a weapon spell removing skill my guild would had won "? I know that the limited amount of hex removing skills have cost some guilds battles, but I cant imagine weapon skills making such a big impact in the game.
I better idea would be that any enchanting removing kill would remove weapon spells too and any condition removing skills would also remove hexes, this would open up space for for attacking skills and less utility ones to carry.

one, NOTHING should happen to rawr or its opponents for the mAT match they had. really who would care if you wanted to fight or not... They wont get banned or perma banned because they didnt bot, hack, change the experience or gameplay of gw. They said on the update they will prevent this from happening again.
and for all of those whining that they cheat and are furious that they cheated other guilds out... BOOO HOO. Your guild didnt make it because they lost to a better team. If you wanted that spot for your guild you should of done better, period. Rawr and its other guilds in its alliance are on the top of the gvg chain... They can do anything outside of norm because they are #1.
Sun Tzu says the war only starts when a victor is chosen... well apperently there was no winner and there was no war. Period draw. Almost like saying you would want to sacrafice 10,000 soilders for a herd of sheep....

While I agree that I think with the build/counterbuild mentality that gw has promoted over the last 3+ years I find it hard to fathom that they didnt create a weapon spell counter. While there are other things like that, wards/wells and the like, those are countered by forcing positions and are not mobile, the weapon spells are one of the few things that have never had a direct counter. Shouts until nightfall were in the same boat, and once things started to get out of hand with their abilities, gw introduced a couple skills that "could" create issues for them.
As for Feb update, it has NOT typically been on the 1st Thurs of the month in a while, it has been on the 2nd the last several months at the very least. I would expect reward pts and the reshuffling of maps for the ATs and really unfort probably not alot else.
If we get a skill update, dont expect anything too earthshattering. While currently there is no one skill that has been disrupting current meta too awfully much outside of MoI

They were bad, and did conga lines for 28 minutes forcing a draw game. IZZY IZ ANGRIE! IZZY SMASH RAWR!

And I'd don't care about this months updates unless it includes another canthan new year event.
Need more rollerbeetle racing.

Weapon spells were (supposed to be) balanced around the fact that there could be only one active weapon spell prot or buff on a person at a time. The "counters" happen to be in line with normal caster hate such as interrupts. Sure, rend enchantments doesn't work and MoI doesn't affect it but most weapon spells that are taken happen to be one second casts and the other skills are pretty much power creep. Recharge times etc. have already been played with for stuff like weapon of warding. I'd almost go as far as to tell you to ask your ranger to stop pew pewing and start interrupting again but I'm bad at the game and I don't really like the nature of weapon spells all that much either.
I have to agree with the above sentiment about having weapon removal spells though. It's a bad route to go and weapon spells by themselves don't win you the game or everyone would be running 4 rits or something. I expect the update to add even more power creep to address power creep just so people can say, "oh wow they buffed stuff instead of nerfing all the time!"

I'm personally looking forward to:
1) having my necro be able to control oodles of minions
2) being able to flag heros away and not let them get chest drops
3) be able to get 4-8 ectos/hr at the chaos plains
4) NOT SCALE DROPS
5) having the game be fun again... i miss the old days, where i could farm and not have monsters be scared of me, like wtf they are MONSTERS, they are not supposed to be scared of a petty little human. And this is a GAME, where we are supposed to RELAX, like common, wtf, you have to WORK in a GAME to get pretty shiny things.
Plz make the game playable again. I'm not asking for Ursan to be returned to normal... well maybe I am.

Removing Heroes from HA will make it a ghost-town. 2 Years back No-Ops were pretty bad. Wonder what they are now and after removal of Heores what they will be.
Same applies to GvG. Longer waits and possible "No Worthy opponents Found. Try tomorrow."
Paragons... err Imbagons in PvE rock.
Weapon spell removal = new content. Highly doubt that will happen.
As long as I get my ZKeys this Thursday, most importantly, a buyer at 5k per key, I am good.

Stances are instantaneous, nor they can be interrupted, and almost all of them cost adrenaline or 5e. The most common ritu weapon spells are warding, shadow, resilient, splinter, nightmare. The first 3 are all 10e and 1 sec casting, splinter got the shit nerfed out of it and nightmare is just lol. Also weapon spells/items spell/spirits are supposed to be ritus unique feat, much as paragons are supposed to use shouts, but yet most of these "unique feats" do suck because of nerfs or bad design. Enabling weapon spells stripping would basically make ritus die in pvp, weapon of warding would be a slighty longer guardian but with an higher energy drawback. Imho I believe the best fix would be to prevent non core classes from joining HA/GvG, much better than the slaughter fest ritus/paragons/sins suffered in past 1-2 years.

personally im thinking about the revival paragons in both pve/pvp and a skill to remove wepon spells from the target.

As for the ability to strip off enemy Weapon Spells... The whole point of Weapon Spells is that they can't be removed but have the limitation of only one per target. If you want the ability to strip them off, then they are nothing more than enchantments. You may as well just get rid of the entire game mechanic and remove all Weapon Spells from the game and/or delete all Ritualists.
I thought that updates were being done on the 2nd thursdays?
Anyways, I don't expect to see a lot done and as I was saying in IRC, I don't really care that rawr and whoever ended their match in a draw. However, if anet does something about it, they should disable the /roll command in HB as well.

Dead game is dead game. I really don't see anything that can be done to the skills to fix the game.
I'd like them to remove heros from pvp, but there go like 80% of the top 400 guilds.
Also, fixing the draw system rather than trying to punish rawr and zero. They did what was most advantageous to both teams, but for some reason everyone is qqing.

Here's what I believe what'll happen:
--- Updated Zaishen Rewards:
- Updated the Zaishen Chest drops to replace the January tonic with a new tonic for the month of February.
--- Automated Tournaments
- Updated Automated Tournament map rotations.
--- Skill Changes
- The Junundu skill called Junundu Tunnel now costs 10 energy to use and lasts for 15 seconds.
--- Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug in Grenz Frontier that sometimes caused doors not to open when the timer reached zero.
- Fixed Diamond Djinn foes so they don't carry the attributes bosses normally have in Nightfall.
--- Miscellaneous
- Changed the wording on the bonus in the Prophecies mission Ring of Fire to having to kill the Eidolon and bringing the Spectral Essence back to the Seer.
