Been laggy for a while now, constant spikes, but getting worse again. Had a lot of freezing and a disconnect tonight. Average is about 500ms with regular spikes of around 1-2k every 1-2 minutes or so.
Had both my ISP check the connection and had the physical line checked, both say nothing is wrong. Everything else I try is working fine with an average ping around 60-70.
Location is England.

I have the occasional annoying lag spike.
usually it stays around 500-700 range, which makes the game run fluidly and works great.
But whenever I Ab or Jq, I get major lag spikes. Several disconnect me, or I play so choppy that it it barely worth playing at all.
It reaches 2k at this point.
i live in New England, and it isn't my internet connection because I have checked that and it is fine.
I'm sick of lag

The last...three or four days or so, I've had a few random lag spikes. Usually I'm around 100-400ms on average, and then it'll just stop, shoot up to about 15-25k, rubberband me all over, and then go back to normal. No disconnections or anything, just the sudden spikes. I'd say it's happened about 8 times since the first time it happened?
I live in the US (Illinois) and use Comcast cable broadband. Not been noticing any drop in internet speeds on anything else, just this.

Going to post my problem here, maybe someone can help me out because that's what i'm looking for.
I'm currently having lag issues that have seem to arise over night, i've been lagging for about a week now and i would very much like it to stop so i can play GW.The lag popped out of nowhere, no new programs, nothing visible that i can put a finger on that caused it.As i said it's been going for about a week now, i'm not disconnecting but every like few mins my ping will skyrocket and rubberband me leaving my character unable to move/act..needless to say this is hindering my pvp preformance as well as just basically trying to play the game.My computer is a Dell inspiron 1525 laptop..and before this week it ran GW smoother than a river rock for a year.
The same problem happened to me when i used to play GW on my desktop, lag was so bad i couldn't do anything, i could never use the desktop for GW again and i'm hoping it isn't going to be the same situation for my laptop. The internet connection is an incrypted wifi signal from my kitchen computer, and before this week had no problems whatsoever. >>ANY HELP<< would be appreciated. plz pm me in game IGN:Lo The Fallen Angel...if you can help?
Oh and also, i'm experiencing some slowness in my internet minor slow loading that is slightly less then it was like 4-5 days ago like mentioned above.

Highest I have seen it so far is 21,000ms, but seems to average around 10,000ms. Support reckon it's a problem with the routing from my ISP to the servers so hopefully it will improve soon.
Haven't been playing Guild Wars for a while, but I got an urge to start playing again last week and now can't with this lag

.The game has become unplayable for me since I started playing again. My ping jumps from 188ms to 3,000ms, to 1,000ms to 25,000ms. Rubber band everywhere I go, skills don't activate, etc...
No problems with other games, websites load quickly, and download speeds are great.
I've defragged my gw.dat, deactivated anti-virus/spyware software, opened ports, allowed GW through my firewall, etc...
Traceroutes seem to hang up at the same place everytime, at which point they time out. It's likely my ISP who is also my cable TV and telephone provider, but I'm not going to switch all of that for 1 game, especially when the only alternative in my area has worse performance in every other aspect.
It sucks.

Game for me had been fine up until around 3-4 days ago. Now I cannot play more than 5-30 mins at a time before I get what looks like a lockup at first but soon after a notice pops up saying I timed out.
I click to reconnect (which is like playing Russian Roulette), it either reconnects or gives me 007 error.
Not sure what they did, but whatever it is it is only affecting me on this game alone. I still play other MMO's online with no issues like this as well as many FPS/Multiplayer games.
Cannot count how many times I tried to do Heart of the Shiverpeak only to get DC'd at the worm at level 3 everytime :S. I put in a support ticket as my frustration level is already beyond belief. Just want to work on getting the storyline for EotN finished.
US/Eastern here btw. Tennessee to be exact.

For about five days I've been experiencing continuous lagspikes. I initially thought it was due to the 4th anniversary event but the problem is persisting. The game has been almost unplayable today. Rather than the usual <250ms latency I experience with my ISP, I have 350-800ms at nearly all times, and spikes of 2k or more happen every coupe of minutes, usually. Rubberbanding all over the place.
I'm in England and it seems that every European member of my guild I've spoken to about this is experiencing similar problems, but no one outside of Europe has reported any difficulties today, at least.

I've been through a few PC's recently (no I didn't get new ones BECAUSE of this) and every time I've been getting frequent lag spikes while playing this game only; all of my other games (Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, etc.) all run smoothly, no lag, at about 100+ FPS. Every 10+ seconds or everything just slows to a stop then kicks up again about 5 seconds or so later and I'm averaging like 800-1K ping because of it. So... if anyone would be able to help me that'd be great. I have an alienware pc, 3 GHz, and an nvidia 9800 GT card.
