R7's don't drop anymore, but R8's do... from chests or monsters I don't know, I haven't gotten one in ages

req 7 does drop still and it has been confirmed by anet. but only in prophecies faction (noninscr) and very rare. its a rumor that they have stopped dropping

I got about a year ago a 16 def spiked targe req 7 in factions... I think they're still dropping.

Not this again. I had a req. 8 16 AR shield drop(loot, not chest) yesterday. It was white, though, so the merchant got it. I'll trade you an image of a cookie for a screen shot of a req. 7 max item with an inscription that is not faked.

req 8s are absolutely positively confirmed do drop in maxed out state, req 7s im not too sure about but they do drop as whites ive seen it but since its white i sold to merchant.

I think the real question should be do max r8s and/or r7s that don't suck (aka have good inherents/are inscribable) drop as golds (or purps for that matter)?

if they drop as white then they also drop as gold...for each campain its randomly generated from the loot list. Just trying to see if the low reqs are still in that list...

Req8s do for certain, I got a couple max Req8 shields as drops the other day. All blue though, which means that chances are no one will want to touch them.

I see max r7 and r8 weapons for sale here all the time... I'd say it's most likely that those were somewhat recent drops.

just because they are for sale doesnt mean they are a recent drop...
I didnt know if they removed q7 or not..i heard something like that a while ago but didnt know if it was true or not.

req7 golds do not drop, cannot drop. req8 gold can, rarely, same for inscribables.
If you're after a max/gold req7, you have to find an existing one. They stopped dropping a while ago.

SS of white max r7 in inventory doesn't prove anything.
PS: I'm not saying they don't drop anymore: just that the chances are so low they might just be 0 for all practical purposes.

i recently got a req8 gold inscr kournan defender in nightfall about 2 weeks ago so i know for sure those are dropping and i believe that req7's have stopped dropping altogether

For me the screenshot of a R7 max (any color) assigned drop on the floor would be the only 'proof' that R7 max weapons still drop. Preferably with some 'proof' that it's a recent SS, with stuff like titles/heroes/weapons that were introduced with NF or later.
It doesn't matter if it's white, blue, purple or gold, if a white one drops a gold one could also drop.

strangely some max white r7's are actually selling for a couple plat, r8 white is rather worthless (up to 1k for some nice skins)

as far as I know req 7s don't exist with inscrips. Req 8s do drop though. Don't know if there are req 8 bds, eternal, voltaic stuff though

REQ. 7 max items with inscription slots still drop, at least up to a blue quality (get them in DoA occasionally). Haven't seen a purple drop for ages; same with gold. Had a gold REQ. 7 max bow drop in Prophecies not long after Nightfall was released and everyone started asking this question, but since then, I haven't had any more luck.

Meh, I really doubt req7 "got removed".. Makes no sense.. Of course theyd be only tyria/cantha tho.
But seriously, didnt they use to be quite rare even in the times of prophecies?? I doubt anyone can just say "they were removed" and hope for any credibility

req7s got simply removed from tyria/cantha aswell, with the ajustments to global drop stats generation algorithm done with the NF update. They used to be rare, but now newly dropped req8s are close to that rarity, in all continents.

Actually it was confirmed, to many ppl dont want to believe it is all. Unless you're one of those that think non max req 7 are VERY VERY RARE.
