chat log from Gaile Gray. from what i gathered, someone was spamming their /sit emote while using their everlasting tonic, gaile appeared and this persued.

so is gaile still working for anet? seems shes still got some sort of powers on the game side. i asked surely spammers and gold sellers are more important than some kid playing with his everlasting tonic, that i see many each day, she replied that they remove hundreds of accounts per week.

tbh i think its the first time ive seen a gm in game come after tickets being sent.

apparantly people who play with no sound are obnoxious.

i havnt played with sound since prophecies, not because im obnoxious, far from it, simply because id rather sit in silence or have some music playing instead of the same guildwars sounds over and over.

thoughts?

I don't think that's what she said. Seemed to me what she said was "Maybe you play with the sound off, but [the emote spam] is pretty obnoxious".

Which I agree with, personally, but I don't spend much time in the large towns if I can help it.

It's great to see gaile in Kamadan! Woo hoo!

Nice to see that someone at Anet takes the time to look around and communicate with us out here in GW land....

LMFAO...

I know exactly who was doing that. Thanks Gaile.

That turd of a player deserved a perm ban for this. Each day for about a week they would show up in K1 and spam for extended periods.

Thanks to the players that reported.

I sincerely mean no dis-respect but is that really gaile?

I really dont mean any offense but her grammar and sentence structure is brutal. She must be an educated person but some of those phrases just ..wow. Ex: "problem solve a situation?"
"it seems a little un-nice?'

If im wrong holy lord im sorry and i will most likely go live in a hole. But this sounds like a young person trying to sound like gaile. Ive read all the chat logs posted of gailes comments and shes always very articulate and well spoken. anyways just thought it didnt seem all together authentic.

PS i saw the different colored text but all the text looks a bit off to me.

Stop The Storm: Gaile is working with our support team now.

CronkTheImpaler: Yes, that was Gaile. In response to several player reports happening at the time, she decided to go to the district and discuss it with the players who were griefing.

The issue is that people are abusing the tonics, engaging in disruptive behavior by using the /sit command continually for hours at a time. Support will take action against the offending players if people submit tickets.

ETA: The reason this is disruptive is because when they /sit, and sometimes they do it in groups, the sounds (in this case from the Yeti Tonic) fills the district and annoys other players. The offenders keep doing it despite other players' complaints. Then people complain to us about this disruptive behavior, and we need to take action to keep the peace.

She was Prob at the office doing 3 other things at the same time fast typing and not paying attention...

I also agree that the text looks off, However she states in one of the Pix That "This is not my player account" So I have never seen GM chat maybe it differs...

EDIT: while I was typing this Regina confirmed it was Gaile LOL

continual sitting for hours at a time constitutes as botting behavior doesn't it? O_o i know that is a banable offense if annoying sounds isn't

Nuff said. I stand corrected and am now selecting a nice new hole to call home. i have a double wide two story rabbit hole that looks quite nice.

broadband may be hard to get in there. on a serious note i meant no dis-respect. It just seemed a little hinkey.

Thanks for straightening me out Regina.

i dont understand, why is it such a big deal with the everlasting tonics and the /sit command? I dont abuse the command, in fact i rarely ever use it, i use /dance or /bowhead when im afk. In my experience the /sit command doesnt even work on alot fo the tonics in the game the character doesnt sit down at all and is very limited with the emotes in the game.

I hope they only remove the /sit emote on the tonics that do make noises. It's really quite fun to spam the /sit emote on a Mischievious(Grentch) tonic for example.
