Honestly that didn't clear anything up, not for me. Don't really care about cupcakes, there's plenty of time for raptor beating, what about the content update? It's still unknown if it's today, or the next week.

I'm getting the feeling that they want to release part or all of the update with the decorations, and since they said the cupcakes etc.. will be dropping with the decorations, I'm assuming that they want to finish up the final touches on some new part of the update before anything starts ;p

this is quite expected, a new live team that has only been working on the game for about a year has slightly delayed a deadline.
The old live team was even worse if anyone remembers that, and quite possibly they are the ones that will be f'ing up GW2 updates when we get that game in 24 years. Patience is a virtue and most of the guild wars gamers lack any sort of it. Take a hit pass it around and we'll all get high.

yeah it didnt happen and i was sort of dissapointed but now i can't help but laugh at how serious some people get about this. THink about it yeah they said so and the update didnt happen but why get all fussed about virtual cake?
Find something else to do .... or keep playin the game normally?
K im off to bed, i'll like to see how this sorts itself out 2morrow.
also i think they'll do the whole bday update excluding the tabs, managerie all at once and do the appropriate days, but maybe thye'll actually say sorry by giving us the broadwalk at the exact same time cakes drop.
MEANWHILE in shing jea monastary: Citizens of tyria are revolting ...pure carnage...........all we know is.....the cake was a LIE!...one small joke gone too far

It really is too bad that they won't come right out and say "wait another day" or something, so we can all breathe again.
That being said, I still remain optimistic that we might see the full shebang within an hour or two, after all, its not even 5:00 PST yet
