I actually saved all my copper and silvers ones from when we were farming Nick's gold crimson coins. Nice.

The Siege At Tsumei Village (the quest before Quimang's Last Stand) is also a good and easy farm. You get to kill about 20-30 Crimson Skull guys on both sides of Tsumei Village (depending on how many you can get to before the npcs converge and kill them). The groups are right there at the entrance and come straight at you.
I farmed it with a ranger using splinter & barrage and that only took about 4-5 runs of the quest to get all 25. The best I got in a run was 6 coins (:

I just went and killed off Crimson Skulls south of Tsumei; took two and a half runs for 25 (ten per run exactly).

Captured Son isn't a useful quest for this farm, you'll actually get more copper coins from the same area without the quest than with it (it's good for farming silver coins, adequate for gold ones).

hmm, for farming, Raisu Palace mission perhaps instead of expl. area.
I thought i got a few the 2 or 3 times i did Raisu Palace mission (with an 8 party formation).
EDIT: Just did Raisu mission with 8 man party, and not smartly chose 2 allies that disable groups at 2 locations, i got 4 Soul Stones in one run.

had a stack, took it with me, after talking to nic and hitting a few chests, now have a stack +4....guess I really didnt need to bring mine with (got plenty on the way---)
so they drop pretty well here (and my stack was from doing the palace mission--seems to have been about the ONLY drop I would get during that mission).

just my luck i get 4 clear the whole raisu palace explorable area. so i go buy the rest then on the way to nic and doing the rest of the area for chests i get 9 more. just my luck as usuall when i buy a item i get them to drop alot and when im farming for it they dont. xD
