Nicholas the Traveler - Location Discussion (Updated Mondays)

Decided to finish FoW with two friends, since we were going to hop in there for the Gloom Seeds anyway. Had fun doing so - ended up short two seeds, but one of the friends gave me two of hers to make up since she'd already got her presents. <3

It took me a while to run my 2nd account from LA, but I enjoyed it, and in particular seeing the magnificent Magguma Jungle and the special place where the statue of Balthazar is. I remember how amased I was when I first discovered it (it may well be Anet guiding those who've never been there to see it).

10 bottle rockets, 40 champagne poppers, 10 Ales, 3 disco balls, 5 blue rock candies, 5 mysterious tonics and ... Everlasting cottontail tonic! I'll enjoy it while people will bid on it and it may well pay me my Obsi armor

That was the easiest collectiable. Got 5 on my first run, 4min on my perma.

Ok week

I have 15 gifts... I can't decide whether I should sell or open. The prices for them are so high... but :'( It's such a tough choice.

Plenty of other ways to make money, and you only get 5 a week, and you have the chance of getting something worth much more. Hell, if I got a mini Yak, that means anyone can.

"Can" yes, but "will" is statistically less true since you got one . Honestly, these gifts are nice, not so difficult to get (didn't have the time to farm this week, but these seeds were cheap!) and provide you each week with sweets&party items (slow progress to titles, but progress yet) and other goodies. And there's the chance to get a big prize (Mini gwen chan FTW).

Had fun on this using GWML (Guild Wars Multi Launch) and my two accounts. Did FoW on both accounts together to get the seeds, and then had to run my second account from ToA, but again did it using GWML so had both accounts running side by side, which meant only one visit to The Falls was required.

Got one keg and a Vampiric Dragon Sword out of the ten gifts :-)

Where do you open your gifts?
I did my fist 5 in ToB that was good choice but next 5 on my other character where so so. Maybe if you open them in UW or DOA you will get better items?

It's called luck. Doesn't matter where you open them.

After killing Mallyx on Hard mode
I got:
- 1 Gwen Doll
- 1 Yakkington
- 1 everlasting care of fireworks
- ?????
- Don't be starting up bogus rumours.... lol you odn't know how some people in these forums act

So my guildy had an ecto drop in FoW.
And I didn't get a seed.

When something like this happens - you just go out and buy the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing seeds.

ectos drop in the UNDERWORLD, which would explain why you had no seeds dropping for you :P

Banshee at the Wailing Lord drop them.
I mean seriously, the guy gets an ecto in FoW (!!!!) and I can't even get a seed!??!


(Just traded them in and got crap, filled with crap covered with crap. With some crap on the side.)

I saw on wiki that there's a small chance ectos can drop in FoW, where upier said. Haven't seen it myself, but I've read somewhere before that there's a chance (albeit miniscule, or practically non-existent) of any monster dropping any drop.. That doesn't sound right (Rajazan's Fervor from a little fire imp.. lol); probably just non-unique items.. anyway.. doesn't seem impossible..

Just popped in to check something, and people are arguing about whether he's moved or not...... hehe

And now the waiting/speculation begins.....

I can't wait until he moves. I made a killing selling Gloom Seeds this past week, enough to finishing funding my first set of Obsidian Armor! :-D

is there a set time Nick moves every week? or is it kinda random?
