The fact that someone quotes you doesnt mean that . For the Ranger part , its very diff imo , thats all.

As a frontliner, they're gonna see the Dervish run in and strip him down unless he or she is using Vow of Silence (craptacular). Yeah and thats about .... 10% of the game ?. YOur not counting the stupid IA that uses their ench removal on Death Nova minions either. Ofc im not gonna argue that Incubus are a pain in the *** etc but Ench Removal a major issue on GW ? very very far from that. A major issue would be a blind bot mob blinding you every 4 secs ( and yes , there are ) or hexing you as hell every 5 secs ( and yes there are ) but mobs with ench removal ? those skills recharge every .... 10-20 secs ? and maybe theres only 1 in 1 mob group ?.

Warriors, on the other hand, don't suffer like that because their profession and primary attribute is not centred around Enchantments. I know but incubi dont have probs with SB. 55 dont have that and roll thru a lot of GW zones. I agree with you that D's have a hard time but dont really think its an ench removal issue because that is not an issue on 80-90% of the GW zones imo.
Sorry if multiquote bothers you pal

"Pre-nerf" is incorrect. It's pre-buff.

Requirement Begins With R [notQ]

I disagree. I estimate that enchantment removal is present in more than 60% of HM areas across all of the continents. Perhaps less so in areas like Ascalon, Shing Jea and Istan. I'm thinking back to vanquishing with my ele in Kryta where there are mobs of Skales that all have Chilblains which renders Enchantments almost useless/pointless.

The 600 monk's method of dealing with Incubi is by dying and degenerating them to death. Great workaround for dungeon farming but it doesn't have any impact on a general play Derv.

As for blind, I never have a problem with it because Livia can remove it before I take my next swing. Hexes are a little more irritating due to deep stacking and slower removal skills.

Allright here we go:

GUILDWARS: this game is cool because the dudes hwo made it announced a suposed balanced playing style and bladibla... Anyway, despite many people say otherwise, PvE is easy. there is no way arround it! Therefore, any 2 classes you may choose will synchronise relatively easy.
But, imo, the class that have been suffering more handicaps in pve are the elementalists, since the different mobs have high armor vs the elemental dmg (witch can be surrounded by some cool skills and a diferent playstyle that many people are not used in this game.

So, imo, even if both of you choose to play elementalists you can stiull beat all 3 campains with no major problems.... all this because pve its easy...GUILDWARS is not about pve. GUILDWARS is about pvp (or should be all about it, or even the name of this game for it self does not make any sense at all).

Many people can tell you Dervishes cannot make big D0mg...thats a HUGE lie! In fact, a general wounding strike build with some tweaks and an OoV necro with some special smite skills can make dmg as some people cant even imagine (yeah, because theyr mind is formated to play Discordway...but thats other issues....)

Sins are weak because no armor no big d0mg no nothing...Again a big lie!!!!

Rits....no comments!
Necros....lol
Monks had always find theyr place in pve in general so yeah....
warriors ---ยป WAMMO ftw!! lol joking :P Serioully now, good old warriors have always theyr utilities. The only handicap i find for this is when you play some warrior builds with endure pain, healing breeze and some other bullshit skills you may find arround. Good old hammers with good ROJ (yes RoJ was nerfed but can still be used) Monks or with some other warriors and a MoP spiker can do a Big d0mg and incredibly can beat you the game w/o big problems if you do some obvious tweaks along your journeys.

Paragons: add a MoP nec and yuou have a strong spike build combined with the support power from paragons ith is incredibly usefull for monks. Handicaps...? I dont see any, unless you play paragon rlly bad or unless you have some bad team build in witch you just trow in those paragons (or paragon)

Mesmers....lol mesmer is so fun in pve...you can play w/e you want with them. In fact if u want a good chalange try to bring those mesmers to the front line (Illusionary weapon does nice dmg) and suport them nicely with some power midline. Its possible to beat the game if you do the necessary tweaks along your adventures. its not hard!

have fun!

Everyone claims "PvE is easy" and can be rolled with any class, so we want something more difficult and wanted to pick the weakest class(es) to finish PvE (including hard mode) with.

We'll mostly play 2 of us together with 6 heroes. We might add further handicaps, such as not learn any Elite or PvE skills, not use Necro Heroes or any Heroes at all, just H/H. Getting Legendary Survivor is a given, we'll delete any characters that die in the way, and we are not allowed to farm XP.

I was thinking Ritualist would be a pretty difficult class, as they are squishy and their primary attribute is very weak, giving basically no advantage over other classes.

Suggestions on classes and handicaps please. Either 2 different professions (that hopefully won't synergize well at all), or same profession for me and my brother. What an interesting thing!^^

I'd go with Mesmer and Ranger, because for some reason i find a little difficult to play with those two..You got a lot of interrupts, but in PvE interrupting is not so important IMHO. You can go even with 2 mesmers if you like it.

About handicaps i would suggest not to use the Xunlai Chest (ever!), nor crafters, use only weapons that drops from mobs and collectors' armor. Don't use PvE skills at all, nor consumables.

If you're really brave, don't use heroes, only henchmen

Maybe some day i'll try to do something like this too..it's really exciting!

Keep us informed on how it's going on^^

LoL - This thread is killing me.

I have two accts, and have beaten only 1 chapter on each (Proph on 1, Nf on the other). I used a Ranger to beat Proph, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Burning Barrager = fun. I used a Dervish to beat NF, and found it pretty difficult towards the end.

Apparently, I chose ... poorly.

However, I think I've seen these classes listed as the weakest so far in this thread:

Mesmer
Ranger
Dervish
Elementalist
Ritualist
Assassin
Monk

Leaving only these as 'strong' choices for PvE:

Warrior
Necromancer
Paragon
