code 045 for no reason as far as i know

i got a code 045 after playing for a few hours yesterday. i havent done anything wrong as far as i know, its a bit odd that it was fine yesterday at 11:00 did some gvg's then come on this morning to a perma blocked account. i have contacted support, but getting no responce. this is a bit annoying as i have recently just purchaced new storage slots and char extreeme makeovers.
its a bit annoying really seeing as i have put 4000 hours of play into this account.

Same thing happened to me, tried this morning and a phat code=045 was thrown in my face. Waiting for answer from support as is..
One thing though (dunno if it might help, but at least gives me some hope that it's the servers that are acting up).. ALL my characters still exists ingame, they still can be added to ppl's friends lists, AND on the NCSoft webpage the account is still listed as "Playable".. So chances are there is a technical issue behind it?

Same thing here code=45 ban, permanent. Never had a ban or warning of any kind before. I have contacted support, waiting for reply.

arena net is stupid happy now?
this has been happening to more and more players they but slots/char makeovers and BOOM banned
arena net/play ncs reason for this is supposedly u have used a stolen card to do said upgrades
gl dealing with support they are stupid ass morons that have their head so far up each others asses they don't know it's day or dark outside

also a code=045 is not a payment fraud code. code=045 is
"Your account has been suspended from Guild Wars for offensive behavior, which is a breach of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. You will be able to join the game in approximately X hours."
OR:
"Your account has been banned from Guild Wars for a breach of the User Agreement and/or Rules of Conduct. This ban is permanent."
This code indicates an account mark or a ban. This means you have most likely breached the User Agreement or Rules of Conduct.

I purchased two storage panels yesterday. perm banned within an hr. fixed the problem in June?? i think not. Used the same credit card to puchase skills sets and other storage few months ago no problem. Amazing that they just ban your account without any word as to why. Been playing since GW came out, nice to just have the door slammed in your face without giving a reason.

I bought 2 storage panes yesterday and was banned within an hr. I don't think this is something that just happened 1 time during a bank holiday. I think something is seriously wrong with the NCstore. Got quick replies where they asked me for my last four cc number and zip code. Haven't heard a word back since. After 4 years and buying all the games and alot of upgrades, I think I deserve a reason for why I'm being banned. Not just a vague pop-up window when I try to log-in. I have no marks on my record, never been temp banned or anything like that.

My account was banned since a 3rd party had tried to access it. I don't appear to have lost anything and my account was reopened a few hours after I sent in my support request. Nice sort of security really.

I bought a storage upgrade for my gf's account a few weeks back, and she can log on just fine (Both accounts are on the same main NCSoft account). Both the account and CC used have her name on it, thus excluding the "suspected fraud"-idea..
Also, as I posted earlier, the account is still listed as playable and the characters are not deleted/removed.. Shouldn't a permban mark the account as banned? And remove the banned chars to free up server space? My conclusion is still technical error (at least in my case, dunno details about you guys).
Just hoping I won't miss out on the event >.<
Xjel >> Any details on that? Cause been thinking about hacker attempts as well.. And it can be a form of security, name the hacker that will keep trying to get into a banned account over and over? A long shot but heey I'm getting desperate over here XD

Was also served with a code 045 when trying to log on today, the only thing I've done in recent weeks is buy a makeover pack, other than that I can't see any reason for an account ban, with no other bans at all on my account =|

When I try to log in it says my account is terminated. Could my character name being Pen Fifteenn be enough for them to cancel my account? I haven't done anything wrong. Is there anything I can do?

I have the same problem it seems. I farm some charr hides last night to get pressies then log in today to an Error 45. I've never had a temp ban in 4ish years and to my knowledge not broke the EULA.

Pen, your account being terminated means you have been permanently banned from the game. You can find out more information here on Guild War's banning policies:

You do need to contact support though to work this out. It may take a few days to weeks but they should respond with a reason for the account termination.

I purchased 2 storage panes from the store a few days ago, and so far (knock on wood) I haven't been banned yet. I'll be really annoyed if I am, as I also used the same cc as I used in the store before. Are you sure you were banned for account fraud and not something else?

So please make sure you post if you're euro or not (last time it seemed to only affect them) and please specify if you purchased something from the NCSoft store yesterday or today.

My account has now been unbanned, and I received a pretty standard looking email containing:
"The reason your account was blocked was because it was accessed by an unauthorized third party."
Hmmm, nothing has been taken if the third party did access my account, and I wonder if the real explanation is a more like system error.
Also, the most recent I thing I "purchased" from the NCSoft site was the free pane, weeks ago. Oh, and I'm Euro.

well, that was unusually fast for Anet, account it back and nothing is wrong, it was blocked perma as a 3rd party program tryied to gain access to it, so they blocked it to avoid it bieng hacked fully.

I'm assuming all the bans have said it was due to a breach in the terms of conduct, though as others have said it might be due to a third party program attempting access, so hopefully they'll get around to unblocking other accounts soon I guess.

Yeah I read up on all the rules and for violating the terms of conduct you're supposed to get a warning of a temporary ban for 10 days. I hope it's something else. I have so many amazing characters I don't wanna lose. Had the game for 4 years or so and never had any issues till now.

Still banned here though, guess I'll have to wait some more
Euro, bought a storage pane on July 7th for another account on the same NCSoft master account. Only one of three game accounts is banned though, the other 2 works fine.
Pen >> If you were violating the naming rules it should have said so, and given u an option to change your name after the temporary ban is lifted (never happened to me, but a mate got a temp.ban after making a char named The Wan King, with the option to change the name), shouldn't be a permban for an offensive name..

Thanks Inde. I'm American. Bought 2 storage panes and come to think of it, the last time I bought something from the store I used the wife's account. Used my account this time. They are both joint, so I don't see how that would throw up a red flag. I have the receipt from the store. But checked my banking account and other purchases are showing paid but nothing from ANet was taken out.
Sucks that they can't send a message as to why I was banned and they are looking into it. At least it would give me some piece of mind. I haven't done anything wrong but still makes me nervous.

My friend has his game banned due to a problem with the credit card (on NCSoft's end). He got the ban reversed in 2 days. Don't panic too much. Just contact support, show that you own the credit card, it was validly charged, and you'll be fine.

I never bought anything though, so maybe I did deserve to be banned for something. Who knows? I just wish the waiting process didn't take so long.
