Haiku Hide-and-Seek - Every second Saturday
Endrosz
The winner is:
Angelof The Scythe
20 Gifts went into his pockets!
The first line directs you towards Echovalds Forest. It worked, the winner found me using that as a general direction. The second line is obscure, but Chkkr Thousand Tail is a rather easily remembered boss name. The third line is a dead giveaway, if you know the story behind Saint Anjeka... if you're the kind of person who actually cares to read an outpost's description.

See you in two weeks, on August the 29th!

Are you sure the times are correct? Should they be 2 pm PDT / 5 pm EDT / 10 pm BST / 9 pm GMT? Last Saturday I checked the thread at 10:45 pm BST / 9:45 pm GMT and the event was already over.
Konig Des Todes
Whatever time goes with 4 PM Central (which fits the first two times you mentioned) would be the accurate time.
Most Americans mess up the whole GMT/BST etc. thing (just as europeans mess up the American time zone).

It is with good reason that I post the reminder-bumpers in the following format: "xx:yy left". The timestamp of these messages should help you figure out your local time for the event.
EDIT: Start times by timezone has been added to the OP. Don't hesitate to point out errors and inaccuracies, I don't want to disappoint any player from any part of the world.

The third one comes 6 hours 25 minutes aftr this post.

The winner is the brilliant:
Countess Reapera
20 well-earned Gifts were handed over to her.
---
White powder? Snow.
Black powder? Gunpowder.
Snow and gunpowder? Somewhere in the Shiverpeaks... Could be Middle, Northern, Southern?
Who are the proud hunters, who boast all the time about their victories? It's the norn, for sure! And where are you called upon to vanquish six of the mightiest foes? In Sifhalla, for sure!
Sweet snack? Could be a few different things, but combined with any of the above clues, it must be honeycombs! Sooo, what's the beast which becomes all timid just by waving a branch with a jar of honey attached to it? It's a bear, for sure! Surely you remember the quest to get Ursan Blessing? If you're a PvE player and didn't live under a rock in these past two years, you must have played a Hunter's Pride. Which happens near Sifhalla, oh those silly norn were so fun to scare off.

Wow, that was actualy real clever. Well done Operative 14

Thanks to the commission by Smilin' Assassin, and the dedicated work of the talented Hoodie, the original post and the whole thread received a full facelift! It addition to the shiny new looks, the OP now lists past winners and shows the date of the next game up front.
But the good stuff doesn't end there: Hoodie decided to sponsor the next game with a full artist's commission! He will create an avatar, banner, etc. for the winner! For those practical souls who do not appreciate art: you'll still get 20 Gifts. This commission package is offered in addition to the regular prize.
If you like what you see in the first post, drop by in Hoodie's own thread, and spend a generous amount so that he can spend more time creating art and less time farming. You won't regret it.

Indeed, it's quite spectacular!
Are we allowed to win more than once?

Yes. Every riddle is a challenge on its own... We had three different winners so far, it's not like you can solve all if you solved one.
My New Name
next 1 is this Saturday right?
Operative 14
Should be.
Endrosz
Yes, this Saturday. I'm trying to come up with a good riddle right now. BTW Smilin' Assassin became a partner in this, there's two of us now.
Smilin' Assassin
yes, the puzzles are tested beforehand ~
and belated congrats, Countess, I expected a stylish win from an eminent riddler such as yourself ..
Sifhalla happened to be the jumping~off point for the Zbounty that day, and you stole the prize from under the noses of hordes of bountyhunters, unaware that the true treasure was at their fingertips

Endrosz are you sure you got your times right? CEST is GMT+2 not GMT+1 according to time zone converter

Yes, exactly. Where did you read a GMT+1 note for Central Europe? Quote from the listing:
---
Yes, that was pretty funny. All those people coming and going, ignoring the 20 free Gifts in my backpack.
Quote:
+++++++++++++ GMT/UTC - 9 pm +++++++++++++ EUROPE Western (IST/BST/WEST) - 10 pm Central (CEST) - 11 pm |

The solution was Shadow Nexus, the winner was Crusader Astinos. More coming later, have to leave now, thanks for playing!

Aw man, taking care of the GW2Guru lore thread caused me to miss this! And this time the Haiku was easy. o_o
My New Name
well went outside and totally missed it...oh well i guess rl friends are better then pixels, but still bummer ;(

I'm thinking of setting up a reminder service. Since I'm online before the game starts, and not doing anything particular, I might as well drop a PM in-game to people who want to come, but easily forget about it. What do you think?
---
So, the riddle was easy because there is not much to tell about Shadow Nexus, really. It had to be specific, otherwise people would go look forever at other places where there are portals. I know I did when Smilin' Assassin presented me the original version... And since it was easy, it surprised me that it took more than 10 minutes to find me. Konig Des Todes, you really missed this chance. But then, there was a slew of finders, 4 people came in less than a minute...
The only thing worth explaining about the haiku is that Shadow Nexus is next to Gate of Torment, that's what the last line refers to.

bah you made me miss it.
You said its at 10pm GMT, and then posted saying it was 7 hours from the exact time you posted, which when i checked was 8.00am. How does that work?

Dude, please read the original post which lists start times by timezone. Find the one you're in. 99% of HHSPA members (Haiku Hide-and-Seek Players' Association) report that they had no problems about getting into the game after they do that.
Also, it's 9 pm GMT, bolded and all that.
