I do agree that there definitely should have been more HMs.

Congrats to those that did win, though <3

Blah, now I'm waiting to see how the thread exclusive awards turn out. Here's to hoping I maybe win something. Especially after skipping some of my class lectures to just stay in and work, hah.

Hey, did you see the Riverside thread? I knew something was fishy about that Jorge guy's picture... He ripped it off from the SAME GUY who got his work stolen last year (I put a note on the poor guy's dA advising him to use watermarks, at least on these themed ones... sad what good artists have to do to protect their work).

God, some people.

On the plus side, I guess this means there's one more chance for one of us to win?

I really wanted the mini because I love minis and because it would have been special. I don't care about its value I never would have sold it. And since Guild Wars is the only game I play, yes, it would have meant a lot to me to have of them.

I am happy for every winner except the tattoo guy. Again, sorry, but that's how I feel.

And there should have been more Honorable Mentions, especially compared to past years. I could be mistaken here, but it looks like you used Poser for your character model. I'm not trying to cheapen your efforts, but it is a very significant point, one which I imagine any artist at ArenaNet could recognize. They might even consider that not really in the spirit of the contest; using third party content as the basis of your piece.

The tattoo... I can see the arguments, but I'm not sure I agree. It's a nice illustration, and the artist was committed enough to their design and to Guild Wars to have it made permanent. Some might call that a bit of a cheap trick to win over the judges affections, but that depends on the criteria of the judging.

Mostly, you've done little but whine in your last few posts. Stop spreading the negative vibes in such a truly impressive and inspiring thread.

@Tzu: Amazing effort, and by a clear margin the winner in my mind. Congratulations.

On the plus side, I guess this means there's one more chance for one of us to win? I noticed that someone pointed that out in the Riverside thread. How stupid can someone be?

Hopefully someone fixes that soon. Because that's just BS.

I left a note on Regina's Wiki page, near where people were complaining about that tattoo. Hopefully she will see that or the Riverside thread or someone will email her or SOMETHING.

EDIT: Just checked Riverside again... she's on it right now.

@Tzu: Amazing effort, and by a clear margin the winner in my mind. Congratulations. No, I didn't use poser.
And even if I use a base model that comes with whatever 3D program I use, do you know how much work goes into fixing up a base model to look good? I worked on that for 2 weeks.
I don't really see using a model any different from using purchased brushes to make your picture in Photoshop.

The expression of my feelings really shouldn't mar the feelings of the winners, that's not my intention.
People who have been active in this thread know what I've done and how, I don't think I've offended anyone. If I can't express my feeling here, then pff...
Oh and as for 3rd party bases... Bags, candy corn, textures, tattoos etc all "hand made" by me.

Please send me PMs from now on.

My husband I said the same thing when we saw that entry. Glad someone could find the original quickly!

Personal delivery at the earliest late next week. Hmm. Are they afraid by sending us codes to unlock we might find the magical minipet algorithm? hehe

So when and where is the party?

How sweet, a random guy in-game just PMd me saying how much he liked my entry.
Now that makes me feel better. Thank you!

And again, congrats to the winners, glad to see people from this thread won too.

What a strange perspective this Halloween has given me. Not entering this year, I have more appreciation for the winners. I entered last year, not something exactly artwork, but something I thought would be clever and fun (a sort of activity for the community if it got posted). It didn't place and I was a little sad, but then again I could understand why the winners got picked. This year, though I would love to have entered, and the prizes were just what I was looking for, I haven't had time for anything. I certainly wouldn't have had enough time to do better than my last entry so that settled it.

And what do I find this year? Amazing creations. I think they're all awesome because people probably spent time they should have been using for other things, to create these wonderful tributes to GW. And I know there are thousands of others that did the same, some here in this thread, some we'll never hear about. Still with enough dedication to the game (or at least enough drive for competition) to put in hard work, whether it be Halloween-related or not, to the contest. Your passion shows in your work, congratulations everyone!

(I'm not under the influence, I swear)

By workshop people, do you mean everyone who was involved in some manner, or just entrants?

I may have more donations to add, it depends on how long I feel like farming ToT bags tonight, woooo.

Also, another vote for Tzu ^^

Guh, I do not want Tzu as a mod. I don't want her cleaning up after me, which would mean I'd have to behave.

Congrats on #1 winner!

On my project, not finished, didn't turn in.

So look forward on Zhaitan raising during Wintersday!

Um, how to you pronounce Freyja Fimbulvetr, Tzu?

.... This is odd.

Wow, just came home and saw this.
Cant believe I actually won. :O OMG!

Im so happy about you Tzu, you definitely deserved the grand prize!

And Im actually shocked some entries didnt even get honorable mention, like Charlie, Minami or Narcissia, which they deserved!

Im too tired and tipsy atm. Will write something more serious/sane tomorrow.

*Edit* Oh so the end party is a part of Horrorween? That is awesome, although I think Im not invited, lol.

Everyone who feels like they have been/want to be a part of the Workshop. XD

Um, how to you pronounce Freyja Fimbulvetr, Tzu? Well, Freyja is an anglo version of the original name of the goddess, in old norse/norwegian it would be pronounced something like:

"Froe-ja Fim-buuhl-vehtrrr"

The "oe" is kind of pronounced like a light-toned "uuuuhhh", but it's very difficult to imagine. You kind of have to hear it to understand.

The "rrr" is pronounced so that the tip of your tongue should vibrate.

I'm kind of bad at explaining, hope it gives you an idea though @.@

Congrats everyone, I can agree with more entries this year than last year. (Although some, the ones that you kinda have to tilt your head at to get are eehh).

Here's a pumpkin I made last year, never submitted it because it's not super fantabulous. Happy Halloween eve everyone!
