I knew it was coming eventually.
Probably still not going to buy them, but it is a nice discount.
Another thing I noticed while idling on the login screen was that when the title music was done playing, the first 3 seconds of the nightfall theme started to play o.O It's probably nothing significant though :P

This.
Something I'd be more interested in would be a character "makeover unlock" that lets you use that stuff at the Asuran to edit characters' face/hair/gender/height/etc at any time, without needing to pay for every change. I have changes I'd like to make to some of my characters, but with the current system I don't feel it's worth paying for.

neo, can you change the thread title to '10/7' update? It looks like a long-ago thread resurrected.
anyways, anet deserves none of my money given their recent track record |

Anyway, it's too bad they're not discounting the other goodies like the makeover packs and name changes. Maybe they're saving their big sale for the holidays again.

Ah, the first of a bazillion dumb "it's cheaper to buy mules" posts.
Yes, we get more storage per dollar if we buy an account or char slot. WE KNOW ALREADY.
But the point of buying storage panes is NOT for more storage - despite the name. We all bought as many mules as we wanted YEARS ago. Before extra storage panes even existed.
We didn't need MORE storage. We needed more convenient access to stuff we were ALREADY storing. THAT was the point of storage panes :-P
If you don't need that convenience, you don't need to pay for it.

the whole storage system was fail from the beginning...Limited space 5x4 isnt really something that could hold much at all and those poor people with that faded 4th anniversary pane they cant access. Useless 4 panes that have to be bought with money.
Actually here's something to think about.
"we of the xunlai guild are always looking for ways to improve our services. Even as we speak, our finest mages are hard at work to better store and transport items."
Now that's either an oxymoron or something that's really false advertising?
Okay princess, tell your mages this.
1. I want 10x8 sqaure xunlain chest with 5 slots or however i've paid for, etc etc. with my mat's tab and 4th aniv tab still active. The cost for activating this feature can be however you wanna charge it In-GAME! it can cost, 1k-2k-3k-10k! i dont care. now that's player satisfaction right there.
Does anyone else suddenly feel ripped off? Or is it just the way it is because Anet's run out of cash to develop gws2? In a business sense, The customer is always right, the most successful titles are often the ones that never die and the ones that customers never have to complain "often".
I thought paying for in-game items for Real money was against the EULA agreements, so tell me the use of a guildwars shop? Sure, you can buy skill packs, hero stuff, campaigns. Okay that's fair. Now lets get onto the FAIL items.
Haristylist, storage, pet unlock. People would rather take a beating with a brick stick then spend countless dollar sinks in something that'll fade out after 6-8yrs. Yea i might pop on occasionally. but its getting to the point i log in, stare at my chars, log out. close the window.
Someone humour me...

Even a 'buy 1, get 1 free' promotion on panes isn't cheaper than buying another account, storage-wise...
Offhand, anyone know what's with the push to update descriptions in Chinese, especially this late in the game? Have they also done that for German, French, Spanish, etc.?
