HB/TA Removal Set for This Week!

Question for Regina: (or Gaile )

What is to be the fate of the titles associated with the events slated for removal?
ie:
If i am 2 points from a title and it gets removed, i would be a bit disgruntled at best...

Finally it is confirmed. At last PvE'ers can get back to the PvE grind, and stop congesting the servers.

Will the haloween update in the same update as the remove of HB ? (so haloween this week ingame ? )

great, thanks for the update again and i am kinda thrilled to test sealed deck with friends/guildies.

i know i am one of anets biggest critic, but i just want to tell you guys, you do a really good job at keeping your game alive and interesting.

That's funny. TA is going to be removed but no complaints about TA are mentioned, just the stupid RR exploiters.

What happens to the Gladiator title btw, can it only be acquired through RA then? There's no way I'm going to get my final 600 points for my G9 in RA.

This is so going to be one of the most disappointing updates ever, way more disappointing than the worst skill balance changes. After the outcry over keeping both TA and HB, ANet goes ahead and removes them, what the heck.

Actually I would assume to see more sync teams in RA now.
If only Anet actually did something with TA, it could have become something really good. I just need 160 left for my G6, I might as well just keep on doing RA until I do it and quit.

that outcry didn't work. HB and TA were dead, and have been wanted to be removed for at least one year. When Anet finnally takes an official stand 'bout it, whiners com in doing what they do best: whining.

They wouldn't go back on their word because of a bunch of HB lovers.

Nobody has seen Sealed Deck yet, its possible that its just like TA, but with the lame removed?

I dont necessarily disagree with you though but maybe this new format will be similar, I remember how dissapointed I was when Anet did the 6v6 HAweekend and then just INSTANTLY came to the conclusion that "6v6 is better" because of how many districts were there (double fame) they never even asked the community, they just changed it, so I imagine your frustration.

Here is to hoping that SD will be in the same ballpark as the "ideal" TA format and I am sorry that TA was a casualty of the epic fail that was Hero Battles, using that Dev. time on TA instead of HB would have been a much better use.

If you are gonna quit, why on earth would you grind 160 points from RA before you do? Judging by your post, it doesn't really sound like a task you are looking forward to.

there are already a ton of sync teams. i might just have horrible luck, but every time i RA, the opposing team has an 75% chance of having a monk (while i don't have one) and have a 50% chance to have a fully synergized build (while i have something random, like three rangers and a melee rit).

Here's the 64 million dollar question now. When you win 10 battles in a row in RA what's going to happen? Are you going to be thrown back into the RA join area or get to continue until you lose? I think being able to continue until you lose will cause major problems then in RA as sync teams will be hard to beat out by random groups thus going from one mole hill to another with problems with arenas and exploiting them.

According to Gaile, support plans on banning. To what extent, it's unclear, but she made comments about being heavy handed against the few they catch (and said she already knows of 1 permanent ban.

It seems that Anet is going to make an example of a few RRers and leave the rest alone...which is a horrible idea.

Good news, curious to see what becomes of RA after 10 wins, HA enabling, max Balthazar faction, and Sealed Deck obviously.

Even if Sealed Deck doesn't come out yet, at least this will kill the pathetic RR day.

Still amazed that none of this is coming from Regina (although, in this case, I understand it since bans are a support question).
