Translation:
There were some major implementation problems with the last quest, and because of it, you may or may not see the conclusion at some unforeseen time in the distant or near future (XTH). And, I might know of when we plan to have it fixed, but I'd rather not say because its unlikely we'll actually have it done by then.

EDIT: I know Anet has been really transparent lately, but obviously not enough. It's kind of sickening to have to read between the lines to that degree.

While Dhuum may not appear tomorrow, it appears that the next(!) quest will be tomorrow, instead of probably today or yesterday.

Lol was goingto post something along them lines too when I read it.
We messed up but can't tell the players lts take the steward away and wait it out.

One reason why I think it was definitely bugged was you could still take the 4th quest BUT the skelys were gone
so there was NO way you could complete it and you just wasted 1k or a passage finding that out
unless someone told you or you read it on one of the forums.

They do, but you cannot turn them in for a quest. I doubt the fourth quest will be available when the Steward returns tomorrow, however, I wouldn't doubt being able to turn the quest in. Unless it is a different NPC by programming, but same by lore/name/looks.

um i just tried doin the second quest because it was active in my log and it transported me back to shing jea monastry on my assasin lol
Reaper didn't like me one bit.
surely by my logic it should atleast let you do the quest, in less they completly removed this instance of the underworld

I would bet that, instead of something being broken, they need to alter the steward for post-holiday quests. Perhaps they want to keep the skeleton bounty, but need to remove the trick-or-treat bag reward, and/or make it so you need favor to enter the UW.

All in all, the way they've laid out these quests has been pretty nice. While I was eager to fight Dhuum, the delay afforded me the opportunity to earn a couple of stacks of ToT bags off the skeletons.

Also, I think people are missing one subtle ray of sunshine. The steward/Dhuum quest are post Halloween, that means they are quite probably separate from the holiday quests and thus not one-time-only.

The exact same thing happened when I tried to do the first quest on one of my other characters. I talked to the reaper and did the loading bar for UW, stopped, then loaded up Shing Jea Monastery.

Thanks for the clarification no one needed. Perhaps you were referring to the people in LA and Kama but they obviously don't read guru so its still useless.

People were hoping for a quest today but didn't think they were for sure getting one.

At least they are more transparent and provided more info then some other MMO's holiday events. Aion's for instance.

It would make a sort of sense for the quest to be at the end of Haloween (while the mad kings away, Dhumm will play) or during winters day (again Grenth is out fighting Dwayna). It's nice to know there is a follow up coming and not knowing just makes it more fun.

has anyone noticed that the "elf" tonic has the same discription on it as the "candy corn" tonic does. Could we have some winterday quests coming in the same form of the Halloween quest line to complete it??

You know, I appreciate the live team trying to keep guildwars interesting while GW2 is in production, but it'd be nice if they didn't blueball us at every bloody turn 'cause they don't have enough resources to implement things properly.

I'd also like to see total transparency on what's happening behind the scenes when there's a problem like this, instead of having to guess with what vague crap is given. I'm not asking to see the inside of the arena net offices, but a simple "we RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up, we're hoping it will be done on this day, we'll let you know as things progress" would be awesome.

Why do people expect there to be any more followup quests there? For me it was pretty obvious when the repeatable was added that it's the last one. And if they'll do a storyline continuation it may be just some of what the 2010 PvE content update will be about, but nothing more now.
