Nice sketch, I really like that brush head you're using to do your strokes.
As for Mina's hair, try adding a few lighter colors as highlights to make it pop out from that dark background. It's a pretty dark picture, so you don't have to go too overboard with lighting.

And for the other picture, if you have corel painter, trying out wet acrylic brushes is a must. They leave incredible texture and blend at the same time. I think you would like it :3

It's a fluid pose so I feel stiff armor wouldn't work out too well. You are proly better off doing some kind of scale mail or like you said, clothes and some plating.

I should have phrased better, I mean for his lower body I'm going to keep his upper body as it is indeed.

I'd say a mix between organic looking plate-mail, cloth and fur. I have question though - what exactly is the pose for the Warden going to be? He looks like he's in a bit of a relaxed pose, but the Gothic Axe seems to say it's more action oriented. Not quite entirely sure what's going on with him.

Would be a real shame to cover up all the detailed work you put into the warden's body. I think a single pauldron with a dark leather strap, similar to the scale plate bracers, would look awesome.

Thanks all! I like the idea of adding some dirty fur/animal pelt, combined with some tatters and metal plating (I really like the little metal squares connected to each other like on Charlies warrior. Might do something like that).
Next week I got my last exams of the year, and then vacation! So just need to study hard this week, don't expect any progress

Bleh I had to draw Started doodling and came to this. Don't know really, was going for a mermaid, but turned out into a bikini girl with shells in her fair and floating fish. No refs used so far, lets see if I can keep that up. Trying out a bit new colors.

Now that you mention it, it does look like one breast (her left) is noticeably lower than the other one even though the rest of her left side looks like it's angling up. It could just be that I'm bad at grasping perspective, though.

I think what looks off is that her shoulders are a little to broad in comparison with the body. Size wise, the torsoswidth at the top is the width of the waist, and then on top of that the shoulders extend out. Which gives a bit of an upside down triangle-y shape.

Tommy I think I have a new favorite ^^. She looks lovely, the only thing I can say is that the angle of the chest is a little off. And one of her iris seems slightly larger than the other, but other than that she looks very beautiful!

Looks great, I think you should lower her right breast and smoothen out her shoulders a bit more. Ithink they look too straight at the moment.

Wow, that's just... wow. I know some might disagree with me but you could still turn the bikini into something with pearls, shell & moss hehe. I think she would look amazing as a mermaid like your initial sketch! Or just take off the bikini lol! Anyway the colors are wonderful. I love her face and well... I'm biased towards redheads aswell hehe. Love it.
