Chances are chances , you may or you may not. It is random.

I opened 1000+ fortunes and got "0" tigers ....... so no minipet for me.

My wife opened 45 fortunes and got "1" tiger, then she gave me all her fortunes as I didn't get the minipet , but even like that , I didn't get it.

So the chance rate is totally random.

agreed! went AFK most of the weekend and had time to do a few of the quest and got 250+ tokens to trade in and open about 70ish. got two mini. just need 1 for the heck of it. second will trade if ppl want to spend 100000 on it later this year.

As has been said, it is just random. You win some, you lose some. Just like chest drops etc. The only way we'd know what it is like is if we had accurate droprate info, but this is impossible to guarantee.

I've only opened about 200-250, and still no Tigger. Worst (really best) I've heard about was some guy got 3 tigers within his first 10 fortunes.

Last year I did a ton of fortunes and got zip. This year I did 14 and got the tiger (yay). For me personally I feel like I opened a bunch last year and this year and finally got one, as opposed to forgetting last year and just saying I got one after 14 tries.

this tigers are rarer than in years past also because you need to be lvl 6 to do the quests. Last year you just rolled the toons over, hoopped on a different account and then just rant the quests getting a stack of tokens an hour.

I made like 5 different guys and then just ran the 2 fastest quests, traded my tokens for fortunes and sold off the mini's making tones of gold.

this year you had to be lvl6.. well that takes like an hour to do reducing my stack of tokens/hour to a messily little 50 an hour.. not worth the trouble.

So this year I opened 250 fortunes and got 3 tigers. All 3 are now dedicated

Well one char could do 6 festival quests which have 150 tokens as a reward, which turn into 50 fortunes. You'd need another 201 tokens for the other 67 fortunes.

You are obviously disturbed that you didn't get a single mini after two stacks of fortunes. Sorry to hear that.

In my case, I opened about 301 Fortunes and received 6 Celestial Tigers. In terms of statistics and percentage, that makes my drop rate close to .33% so it's about right. On the other hand, in my entire Alliance, I was the one who got the most luck since the other person to get more Tigers besides me got 4 out of 438 fortunes. Another person received NONE after opening 746 (close to three stack).

As for sell value, I sold 5 of my Celestial Tigers:
2 for 50k each
1 for 85k
1 for 7ecto + 4k
1 for 40k (to a Guildie)

Do your own match based on this information.

Well if the chance really is 1/3% then you have a 99.95% chance of getting at least one tiger out of 2250 fortunes. You could be very unlucky

. Getting at least one out of a 1000 fortunes is 96.45%. Some people are just very unlucky.

I wasn't able to get onto guildwars until 11:15 pst sunday, so I didn't get a chance at a tiger. No big deal, just another thing to add to the shopping list.
Which I can't understand. I barely play anymore, but I still like to hop on, farm some gold and buy mini's that only ever sit on an unused character.

1041 fortunes - 9 tigers.

My experience has been to never open more than 50 fortunes on a single character. If a toon has not hit a tiger by 50 fortunes I switch all the fortunes to the next character.

Usually the tiger would show up in the first 20 fortunes if it was going to happen, but have had a few closer to 50. Typically open fortunes in the Linnok Courtyard, unless char does not have it on the map.

I may be crazy but this method works for me. Also did well with the Ox last year 6 minis from around 800 fortunes (if I remember correctly). Stuck with a toon last year and burned through 250 fortunes in nothing flat with no minis. That is when I started rotating through my characters.

As a side note certain characters NEVER got a mini after multiple passes, not sure why this is, kinda strange.
