Well, it figures.. My mesmer just turned 5 and she has the worse luck with presents. Another white: "Scourge Manta". She has yet to receive anything better than a white on any of her presents. She deserves better!!

Yes. I think any Mesmer that has stayed on a player's roster for the full 5 years should automatically get the rarest minipet.

I'm serious. Even though I don't have a Mesmer older than about 6 months.

MOX has 6 different forms, 1 'normal' and 5 avatar forms. Each time you take it out it has one of these forms and stays that way until you take it out again. It does not transform of itself.

That makes quite literally no sense, if what they are afraid of is too many polys in town from too many glint models than just make her green like she should be since its safe to assume that if we could handle her 5 years ago we can handle a copy or two of her in a town today...

Yeah, that is pretty much the reason. She was made to be the size of a house. Minipets are just sized down versions of the original model. For instance, the Kuunivang mini is 8% of the original model. Plus, Glint has a huge amount of polygons. We'd have to have a new model for Glint made if we wanted to do a mini.

The solution isn't as shallow as just making the minipet a rarity.

Glint's model is so large and detailed that if you were to make a mini of her. The mini would NOT look like Glint. (you can't "shrink" that many polygons and still have it look like the orignal)

If i remember correctly it was the polygons that was the problem, it was that the metallic type skins she has didn't properly scale right and distorted glint, but i'm sure there is some way to make it work properly. But i could be wrong and it was polygons that was the problem, its was like 2-3 years ago when the question was ask.

Linsey and Gaile stated that it was the Polygons. I posted the statement on the 5th year speculation thread. They said it wouldn't be impossible to do, just incredibly difficult.
