War in kyrta greens Moddable?

Proof right there. I think the war in kyrta greens are moddable. I only have one atm, a shield, and no shield mods. Can someone else prove this or disprove this?
I found a person showing it in game.
EDIT: This was the only place i could think of putting the thread. I dont know if its right or not.

Mind blowing. Lol Anet finally gives use for the green item.

Also read, somewhere on gwg, that some of the greens are dyeable
Elephantaliste
So two greens with same name and skin but different mods.
We need more example/occurences about this.
Now for the moddable part, unless anyone can do it itself, just forget it for now ^^
What shield do you have, no inherent mods on it or none to test on it ?

i can confirm for dyable part on Harmony (green DF focus HSR 10% +30hp)
I applied a brown dye on it.
Then applied a yellow dye.
Can't use HCT 10% focus core on it, neither focus inscriptions like +10AL vs. damage.

Oh, wow. I just tested it on The Soul Reaper and yes, it appears to accept both staff heads and staff wrappings. I didn't actually go through with the modding but the game would have let me.
I would test on the spear Righteous Fury, had I any spear mods ATM. But neither weapon accepts inscriptions.
edit: also tried dyeing. Soul Reaper is NOT dyeable, but Righteous Fury is.
edit the second: lovely guildmate borrowed me a spear grip and yes, Righteous Fury accepted it.

Can you salvage mods ?
Be aware that to confirm you can salvage or apply a mod, you actually need to do it.
(Most of current pre-war greens accept salvage action on them, but can't get salvaged, for example)
Marco_vd
This might be intresting
Xsiriss
Oh snap!? Shame none have dropped for me yet...(hint god's of GW)
hattara
I am not willing to either mod or attempt to salvage my greens, because 1) I want to keep them and 2) I will not abuse a potential bug. So I will not go through with either action. However, let's see. Righteous Fury lets me apply a salvage kit, Soul Reaper does not - I did not actually click to salvage to see what the spear would have salvaged into.
Elephantaliste
1) you can use perfect salvage kit
2) there are no bugs, only features

I don't, however, think this was unintended. I think they finally saw that a unique skin on a green weapon is nice, but not all people want the same stats.
Elephantaliste
There must be a difference between abusing duping bugs on purpose, and investigating about possible moddability of white mantle greens, introduced by WiK updates...
Hells Fury
So only WiK greens, not other ones. Right?
hattara
I tested a few other greens I have, and nope, just the WiK ones.
And Elephantaliste... no, there really isn't a difference, when the end result is the same - unless you voluntarily destroy the items immediately afterwards. I opted for the safe, sane way and contacted Regina about whether this is intentional or a bug.

If this is a bug , and you modify it, remember the HoD sword that Anet came in and unmodded for everyone, that just amounted to loosing the mod.
But in those days the +20% while enchanted was 150k. But i know anet took my 2 mods off and left me with a clean HoD sword.

i would play on my sin just to use Law and Order lol

Someone test to see if Law and Order is stable/ moddable if so my world is complete Firebrand too if they can
Fusylum
Yes, this looks quite fun to use...
Hopefully its something they put into the game not a bug!

Might be intentional but... then again, why aren't these gold items instead?
Like Dhuum's Soul Reaper or the old IDS, both are moddable, gold rarity but act like green items (they drop with fixed basic stats), so why are the WiK uniques different?

The French community rep replied on his talk page, however, I don't speak French.
Dzjudz
I think she was surprised and is going to verify the report and then reply. (my French is not very good)

What is the position of Anet over it, is what was expected and is it going to stay? Elephant 11:50, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
You have been modded your gun green? If I check, in response not long! Thank you for the message. Stephane Lo Presti 24:53, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Deakon
Anyone try to display them in the HoM?

automatic translators are always so funny
it should be something like: Were you able to modify your green weapon? Other way I will check, answer soon (but on this sentence I could be wrong, I'm not very good both at english and french!). Thanks for the message.

Sounds like a bug? They should just leave it though, greens are pointless since inscriptions came out.
Akroma Angel NL
got this 1 modded
first green with those stats lol

It appears that at least some of the new greens accept mods and dye. clicky
I'd suggest everyone be very careful about modding theirs, it could very well be a bug. |
It's obviously a bug overlooked by Anet. Do not buy these modded weapons for extravagant prices, as it will surely be fixed, and then you'll have bought the basic green for way too much money. I hope they fix it SOON.
ashes
Apparently the guys have been selling these for 48e/ea
Gabriel of Ravn
So if this is a bug what do you guys suppose they will do about the modded greens revert them back to their original stats?
Covah
knowing Anet they will probably just change the ones that drop after the update so they can't be modded. Which will make the ones pre bug fix worth more. yay anet.
ashes
Most likely yes - hopefully soon
I dont think there is anyway of hiding ur bugged greenie from Anets banhammer

they better keep these moddable, that is how they should have been to begin with:
Green = custom skin with custom name, mods should be player choice

Thats kinda too late - like 5 years too late

This is definitely a bug. Replacing a mod would be a possible feature, but adding a second mod is definitely a bug. Would be nice to be able to replace a Sundering with Vampiric, or something similar, but to have 2 Fortitude mods on one items is not balanced. I expect that they will treat this exactly like they did with the HoM sword and revert all the greens to their standard drop stats. All mods used on them will be trashed.
Still wish they would allow some of those skins to be used with different mods.

Adding the extra mod, i am not sure how that even managed, I tried using a +30 on the hammer and it only kept 1, so THAT axe is bugged.
