This is distressing news. I don't run text mod and I really don't own or use a bot. I guess it is possible that they just mistakenly banned but how can that be when there must certainly have been some criteria?

Well hopefully it will get sorted. But its not the end of the world since I have another account and other than useful titles like eotn etc I could care less about in game achievements or tons of gold/fancy armor. I mainly enjoy the SC's so w/e.

BS, I use GWx2 and so do many of my friends, none of us were banned, you got banned for botting.

Hey, you already have lost those 10k+ hours even without being banned !

GW is just a game, live with it (that much dedication seems totaly absurb over 5 years ... that's 5h+ a day.. come on get a real life)

Also BS, I use texmod as do many of my guildies, none of us have been banned, because we don't bot. You obviously do since you were justly banned.

It is not BS but whatever. I don't bot. I have 2 other accounts that I have used with GWx2 and they didn't get banned so it is puzzling. And i can certainly understand if someone would think it's BS. If I really was botting I wouldn't bother posting since it would not have come as such a surprise. I hope that I will be able to get my main account back and more importantly get a reason for why it was originally banned.

I do have mixed feeling about this because if they really did find an accurate way to detect botting and went to the trouble of banning all those accounts then it's probably a good thing for the game but the mere fact that my main got banned (and I know I wasn't botting) leads me to think they chose some method less than accurate.

Flapjack, just contact support. If indeed you were wrongfully banned, the ONLY way anything is going to be done about it is for you to file a support ticket.

I know people don't seem to have much faith in the system, however, if you keep your cool, and deal with them, they will fix it. With this mass ban, I would guess their system is going to get a bit overwhelmed, so it could take some time, but continuing this here is not going to do anything to get your account back.

Even though I think this an awesome way of handling the bot situation, does't having Dhuum suddenly appear and kill a bot mess with GW lore on a number of levels? Wouldn't it have made more sense to have Balthazar or Grenth or one of the other GW gods who is NOT locked up and asleep in the UW to handle them? Might have been fun to have different gods come and destroy bots depending on their profession...

I, unfortunately, missed the Dhuum's doing their thing but that video is just amazing.
Bots have been destroying the game for a while and I am very glad that they are gone.

Very funny stuff, hope they were able to clean things up and able to set it up moving forward for less issues

Not really messing with the lore, Dhuum was recently released from his imprisonment, the fact you may have put him back is irrelevant because once you leave a gw area it always resets. Its like me going out in pre searing and single handily killing all the charr and then there's still a searing.

Btw Dhuum makes a way better grim reaper with that scythe
