I think if Anet got to some or even most of the botters through certain players being kind enough to send in report after report to support for suspecting botters deserve some kind of credit or mention.

I find plenty of humor in watching all of these people's precious time and valuables getting nuked after they do something that they should have realized from the start was detrimental to the game and against the rules.

Oh, and with regards to the now 'lost' rare mini pets and other similar treasures... don't let them rot on locked accounts, don't give them away via lotteries or other random competitions... use them for rewards in the automated tournaments, maybe even have a special tournament series in honor of Dhuum's labors... breathe some life back into the PvP side of the game and have Dhuum on hand to watch for botters and hand out prizes to the victors. |

I'm not going to say HAHA or anything, but it's nice to see justice served. It is a shame to see all of those ill-gotten riches go into the scrapper though. I liken it to big drug busts with stacks of cash..at least that cash goes towards the community. This should happen to the GW community...keep prices of ectos low if not hand them out as rewards, and take those rare minis and run new contests for them. It would be nice to have a hard number available of those limited edition minis as well.
As an addendum...for casual players, bots were actually a benefit. They brought prices on ectos down to reasonable levels so casual players could buy their obsidian armor and the occasional rare item. They brought rare items down in price by increasing the supply. Rare minis...meh. Casual players don't really care. Getting rid of botters, especially so publicly, will skyrocket prices of everything not only because new supply will dwindle, but also because existing numbers made public have been removed directly. There should be provisions in place to allow non-botting casual players to obtain these rewards as easily as before.
