Screenshots worth posting are of items not currently widely known as possible drops (for example max req.8 axe or daggers), or showing a particularily nice drop from something to showcase a good source for getting it.
Posting some Req.7s with near max stats can be much more valuable info than yet another max req.8 shield or focus, so don't be afraid to post nonmax items in this thread, just don't post complete crap that's FAR from max.

I have started to do alot more nm lately, both playin in fow with my heroes, and opening chests.
In fow i got a r8 shadow shield, althought this was white. It turn me to the question tho, if they drop white, they should drop gold.
Opened about 500 chests outside port sledge in nm, no luck so far tho.

Looking through the old folders and smacked myself. I sold this after staves got updated to 20% inherent halves skill recharge since I thought "Oh the stats suck on all my staves now", let's just get rid of them. (Tue 08 Jan 2008 on the screenshot properties) The second reason why I sold it is because at the time Ritualists were not popular, I did not have a PvE one (and still don't), and communing is lacking in spells.

Unfortunately, that white drop there won't really get you any money. It's not uncommon to get white drops like that, and they are also rendered fairly useless by being either uninscribable or unmodded.

It's wierd though.. I get lots of white max drops on my VQ's as well. Maybe it's time to get an Alliance of Canthan/Tyrian farmers going. See how many r8 max golds drop. Mmm.. Bad ideas sound so good.

Had 2 q8 max healing ankh drop farming mantids nm, both gold, both armour +5 while attacking. got a q7/15 tactics celestial shield -2 enchanted gold from mantids chest in nm. I did about 200 runs for this. I didnt bother with a screen but im on the mission to do it again. Done about 250 reed bog runs now and got a q8 /12 protective item purple. And a q8 /11 focus gold. this was all in the last 2 months

if q8 grapes can drop HM, does this also mean they can drop gold? or does the fact that its grape change the possibilities of the req? and would this Only be for staffs?

in cantha only kurzick/luxon/stoneroot/deep jade/forbidden ones do
cantha chests only give pts to lucky/unlucky(which is always useful too)

So I wanted to revive this because I have a few questions I wanna discuss with everyone. Reading through this and after much of my own farming and research, req8's drop between level's 17-23. On page one Yawg also backs this up (At least the lower then 24 part) and I believe the level bracket to be 17 or 18 to 23.
Something that Ive never really been able to prove (Because I dont farm the right sources nearly enough) is req8 dropping in HM. I do believe I saw somewhere that Yawg said that req8 cant drop in HM, however, if the brackets specify the drop level, then maybe they can and mode doesnt affect it at all? For example in Cantha, the Mantids outside Ran Masu Gardens are all lvl22, which is in the level bracket for req8. Does this mean they can drop req8's nowdays? Ive farmed them a fair amount for Elite Tomes and Bo Staffs (The boss drops it) but never really looked into it from this perspective, as it was many years ago I used to farm them.
Similarly in Panjiang Peninsula there are level 22/23 Naga. Same as above I farmed these for a while but to no extent (They also drop Tribal Axes. Gold Tribal Axe confirmed 2k14/15?!?!?! lol). These drop some very nice skins such as Bladed, Diamond, Shinobi, Katana, Broadsword etc etc. Same with the Kappa in this area.
The reason I want to know this, is ever since the dreaded loot scaling and HM update, farming in NM has become somewhat redundant. To get anything worth speaking off you have to do hundreds and hundreds of runs. If there where some drop sources in HM, it would make farming for r8 that bit more realistic.

heard of even q8 sunqua dropping from vanquish there.
What ive been wondering tho, could HM chests there drop q8 too?
Since From chesting there ive noticed the drops are similar to 450g chests in cantha. Alot non max crap And the foe lvl is same as there,
Does the Foe lvl around chest effect drops or is it just Hm/nm that matters?
Also on tribals. Mantids atleast drop alot blue tribals. had just today 6-24 dmg q9 blue one. But gold one never heard and dont think its possible

Do you have any pics of req8 gold dropping in HM Ikki? Of course I believe you, but my eyes need to see before I dedicate my farming time to HM on Shing Jea (kill me now) xD
Im also interested if this applies to Inscribable stuff. I've never really looked into how req8 Inscr stuff is generated, as im sure its different. If anyone can provide any details on this that would be great.

At least in EotN you can drop any focus, shield and sword as drop from foes in q8 in HM.
My guess would be the same for q8 in all campaigns. Though I don't think they drop as q8 in chests in HM.

and yea Vizi Generally ppl think they dont drop HM, but well if the chest lvls kairi mentioned are right, shing jea and ascalon maybe would drop q8, And i dont hear Anyone chesting those because its soo time taking and frustrating do slow 1 chest runs. (Noticed that today when ran 60 chests in shing jea HM and had 20+ runs with 0 chests

You're right, I talked too fast : I dropped quite a few times q8/16 + q7/15 shields and q8 swords BLUE, PURPLE in HM in EotN from Vaettirs which are lv26, or from Stone Summits during Kilroy, they're lv26 as well.
I don't think I've ever dropped q8 gold there, but I'm pretty sure they can drop in Vaettirs and Kilroy as golds.
About chests, I found q8s only in NM till now, even though 90% of my chests come from HM..
