I'm Still Playing The Waiting Game

I'll admit it. I still have "The Waiting Game" quest on my main character. Despite repetitive attempts at the Underworld to complete all of the quests and challenge Dhuum, I still have yet to do so.

With Halloween coming in two months, I can easily assume the quest chain will occur back again for everyone to do once again.

Am I the only person to still have this quest? It wouldn't surprise me.

i saved some holiday events one year and had to abandon tem once the next year rolled around and then retake them from the NPC for the current year. You may run into the same problem.

I don't think we'll see this quest chain again. Dhuum has been here all year, why would we go through the quests again pretending like he's still imprisoned.

They mentioned that those quests would ONLY be available that year---and yes I still have it on a bunch of characters as well....

I've still got it on my main, too. Just don't feel the need to abandon it.

I wonder just how many people gave up when they saw it involved getting through UW WITH the new boss at the end, considering UW isn't the most accessable place in the game for most people anyway.

Not only do I still have them but I still have a stack of mobstoppers too lol...

Heehee, I have a few of those hanging around, too -- another slot occupied by ones with trapped skeletons inside. Can't transfer them to my storage account, yet can't bring myself to trash the buggers, either.

And I still have The Waiting Game on all my characters -- never even attempted it. A friend and I made a black widow run one time, took a stab at The Demon Assassin quest after for the lulz, and were promptly wiped by the elementalist mob. It was then that I realized I'd probably never see Dhuum.

yeah i have the quest still. I never really do much pve stuff but holiday stuff i try to do. Obviously i couldn't find a party to do it because i don't know anybody or builds to run for those areas. People say PvP can be discriminative but wow PvE is just as bad.

I still have it. In fact, I don't think I've even stepped foot in the underworld since doing the lead up quests to "the waiting game".

Another one who have to complete it. It's very hard to find a balanced party to complete UW.

Why not all go together before this Halloween? You could ERway it easily. Xeno can ER dw.

I've suggested in TK forums that Dhuum be split from UW like DoA/Mallyx

*gasp* Me too! I just kept the mobstoppers because I figure some idiot will one day pay insane prices for it, like they do with the Jade Wind Orbs (or at least, I hope someone will).

And, yeah, I mostly keep the Waiting Game quest for the lolz. It's just nice to have as a screenshot.

The uw is accessible to everyone. Me and my co leader have a thread on here called "shall we sing dhuum a lullaby"....if you want to join us sign up for it so you can complete the waiting game quest. Its not a speedclear. We started the thread because of the fact that so many people want to do it but lack the skill for the sc or never been or would rather do it balanced. We take about 3 maybe 4 pugs at a time based on their experience and what core professions we have coming from our guild/alliance. Anyway check it out. The thread is under my name

I would love to finish this quest (have it on multiple characters), however, I was never able to finish the quest before it (yeah yeah yeah---I wasnt able to run thru the degen area and click and pick a new target and click and bla bla bla fast enough)......so I have no mobstoppers either

and yeah, lots of people still have this one it seems.....and many of us are not 'skilled' at the underworld so most groups wont take us (and I am not rich by any means--I think I have a few ecto TOTAL to my name)......

so OP you are not alone!

I actually went with 6 heroes and did pretty well until I took the quest in Pits without flagging heroes back... insta-NPC gimp and fail. Nothing quite like spending 2 hours and finishing 5 quests to fail on a stupid escort. Haven't been back since.
