Hall of Monuments private?

I am a little uncomfortable with the HoM calculator being available for anyone to view on anyone else. No one can see your hall without you there and you are free to display a title or not. I think the calculator should be protected from roving eyes. It seems like an invasion of privacy to me.

Really no point, people can see what you did. Nothing other than accomplishments can be seen, why do you think we have titles?

Why is this a big deal to anyone? Are you afraid someone is going to torment you if they know you don't have much in your hall? My hall is fairly empty and I don't care who knows.

What's the point in doing titles/getting fancy weapons/armors/minipets?

I think the whole point was so you can see what other people have.
if you can see what your guild member is missing, its easier to help them obtain their 30 points. They might not know how to read the calculator themselves, so you would need to see if you were going to help out.

i enjoy being able to stand in towns and talk to people who havent filled it yet telling them to go fill it if you like to stalk HoM its your problem not anyone elses

Unless I start seeing a widespread use of "LF 1 more, must be 45+/50 to join" in PuGing, I see nothing wrong with the calculator being public as it is now.

And it actually allowed me to see that more than 50% of my friend's list left GW a long time ago (been playing on and off).

Someone on GW2G said that they got kicked out of a UWSC PUG because he was 24/50, but I haven't seen any other examples.
